Baked aubergine with parmesan cheese, the taste is out of this world. I absolutely recommend this dish. Other dishes we ordered are really fine. Fresh ingredients and can feel how dedicate the chef is⭐

Tiramisu is melting in the mouth!

This is an authentic trattoria with cheerful waitress and good local cuisine. I enjoyed vongole spaghetti while my husband had the catch of the day with a locally grown pistachio crust; and we shared a Sicilian orange salad - all accompanied by a carafe of local red wine. Good value fare in an informal family style restaurant.

Glorious restaurant with the most enthusiastic & friendly owner you'll ever meet. They are incredibly passionate about their food and you can notice it. The octopus dish was excellent as was the maccheroncini , Just two minutes away from the main square. Lovely place!

Recently while staying in Acireale, four of us dined at La Locanda degli Abbatazzi. Salvatore was friendly and accommodating but more importantly, the steamed mussels, which I shared with another diner, were the best I ever put in my mouth. They were large, tender and delicious. For my main course, I had the mixed grill which included a whole sea bass. While I had no problem with it, one of the ladies in our party also ordered it and was finding it a bit daunting. Salvatore came to the table and boned the fish and presented it to her much to her delight. I have but two regrets - first that I shared the order of mussels and second that I will probably never return to Sicily to experience this again.

Food is great but not extraordinary. Service is perfec5, atmosphere gorgeous.

We happened to find this place by chance while looking for somewhere to eat. They made place for us immediately even though they were very busy. They suggested specials which included fresh fish caught locally. The starters and main course were very good. The cuisine is very homey, like eating at your grandmother, good food with no frills.
The owner was really nice as well. Definitely recommend this place.

Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and entertaining service. The mixed grilled fish in particular was amazing! An order for just one person included a whole sea bass, tuna steak, large prawn and chernia (wreck fish) steak perfectly cooked. And the heart of chocolate dessert was as decadent as it sounds.
