My wife and I traveled to Italy in 2019 and stayed at Valdonica! Everything about Valdonica was perfect. The setting, food, hospitality, and WINE! I would recommend Valdonica to anyone visiting Italy. We will definitely be back.

This is the most beautiful restaurant. We celebrated our honeymoon and the staff were incredible. The food was so delicious and the scenery is outstanding. Thank you so much for such for giving us such a romantic evening. Siobhan and Nathan x

Chef Nicola conjures up a dreamlike evening with his dishes. Topped off with the good wines of Valdonica and the fantastic view over the plains of the Maremma to the sea, this is a must when you are in this region. The pasta and dishes are homemade and be sure to try his desserts....grazie Nicola !

Good food, plus majestic view. Totally worth it. And there was a blonde girl working in the restaurant, she was so nice, made our night special:))

Chef bravissimo e si vede che ha amore per il suo lavoro. Dolce e fiorentina il top della serata. L unica pecca il servizio, cameriere non adatto a quel tipo di locale. Non parlava italiano.

I’ll start with the positive:
The views are amazing.
The owner was friendly.
The wine was quite good and reasonably priced.
Room for improvement:
The pastas were a small quantity and not very flavorful. At 19 euros a plate, it was a disappointment.
The branzino tasted good but the fish was not descaled so even if you don’t eat the skin, you got a mouthful of scales. The vegetables were too salty.
The dessert was also disappointing- with moldy blueberries.
Overall, it was a huge disappointment and I don’t recommend it for dinner.
If you are looking for good food during your holiday, go elsewhere. If you are looking to enjoy a glass of wine with a view, this place will do.
