Bistrot Italia

This gem of a restaurant is tucked into a neighborhood between the Ercolano ruins and the Ercolano Scavi train station. We stopped in for dinner after a long day touring Pompeii and the Herculaneum excavations. On a Sunday, it was really comforting to find a restaurant open, and we had a lovely meal with wine. The food and service were exceptional.

We have spent almost two wonderful hours at lunch here just enjoying the delightful food and very friendly service. As always I'm all in for dolce but the shrimp tartare is definitely worth mentioning...

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed today's special and three other meals. All of which were delicious and beautifully presented. We found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality.

They have absolutely delicious chocolate croissants and I think all of us that went here really enjoyed our breakfast and coffee. Definitely recommend. stop by here when in the area. We particularly came here before coming to Herculaneum because it’s not a far walk and it was well worth it. If I was staying nearby I definitely would’ve gone here for breakfast on more than one occasion. Very cute modern place.

This wonderful place had an incredible menu of seafood and the BEST I've had in Italy so far. Their squid stuffed artichoke was absolutely amazing! Thanks for restoring Italy's reputation for good food.

Great place to eat !

We visited Herculanum in the morning and chose a random place to eat. What a great idea !
The waiter was really friendly and helpful,
good recommandation on food and we took the dish of the day: Grilled fish and salad.

The place is really good looking, fresh and cool. We need AC after the burning sun of Ercolano.

They serve a lot of different dishes : fish, pasta, pizza, panini, salads etc...

If you are looking for something other than pizza or pasta this place is great. Though they do have delicious pastas also.

Absolutely wonderful! Very nice service, the food was just incredible, and the presentation was so lovely with several dishes served with edible flowers. Highly recommend!

I would say, that it is the best place for lunch in Ercolano. Very tasty dishes and affordable prices. The service was very fast and friendly. Note, they include 2 euro per person for covering

Was not expecting to be blown away by the delicious tortello and desserts. A nice little patio just off the main street with a nice wine selection inside.

They are the best team! Great service , they are friendly to foreigners. Food are very fresh, tasty of course, with an awesome environment and relaxing music, I recommend the octopus dish 🐙lol

Perfect place to grab a drink and bite to eat after touring Vesuvius. We had some light salads and lemonade.

A lovely experience, the restaurant has more sophisticated vibes that couples well with a comprehensive menu of more complex dishes and ingredients. It’ll be more pricey but I found it well worth it, even if not all the flavors were a complete match (anchovy and pistachio was intense!).

Most imaginative pasta dishes we have seen in our month in Italy, and as delicious as they were good looking. A well nigh perfect lunch after our Vesuvius climb and before strolling to the archaeological site.
