Amazing stay at the Villaggio Placido. From the moment we arrived we were so pleased with our choice to stay here. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, showing us where to park which was great having this included. Location was perfect - a little 5 min walk to the beach and also very close to the cable car. The villas themselves are so clean, spacious and with such an authentic Italian feel. The view from our bedroom was beautiful and we had two outdoor dining areas. Would highly recommend and we are already planning our return!

If you are looking for an authentic Italian beach cottage, this is the dream. Beautiful gardens, little white cottages perfectly spaced out, sweet people running it, lovely private access to the beach and beautiful peekaboo views of the sea- it was like going back in time and staying at your Italian Nonna’s home! Little cottages with beautiful old tiles and sweet simple furnishings- it’s beach life at its simplest and finest. An added bonus is how close you are to the Funuvia (chairlift to upper Taormina) and a short walk to Isola Bella. Also- free parking! A huge plus in this area of tight and winding streets.

I stayed with my mother in room 7. This is an amazing place right on the water. The location cannot be beat. The views and 1 second access to the beach are incredible. Also, the owner is truly amazing. She accommodated us for an extra night we hadn’t booked and when i had to leave early she refunded me the extra night. This place is run by great people. The kitchens are fully equipped (olive oil, salt, pepper) and you have a private terrace you can eat out on. AC worked well and room was very clean.
Would never stay anywhere else.

Really beautiful location with friendly and accomodating staff. Beach access within 500 feet of the villas which have incredible sea and garden views! Overall a really peacful place to stay and hang out. I will absolutlely be staying here the next time I visit Taormina!

This small collection of med' style cottages are awesome. Cheap. On the beach. Very clean. Run by nice locals. Not luxurious but more than comfortable.

Il Villaggio Placido è un luogo incantevole dove trascorrere le proprie vacanze, parcheggio interno, possibilità di accedere ad una piccola spiaggia molto suggestiva direttamente dall' interno, doccia calda a disposizione dei clienti risalendo dal mare.
Appartamento ben curato, pulito, dotato di ogni conforto con piccolo giardino privato.
Proprietaria molto cordiale e disponibile, gentilissima.

Un posto meraviglioso..villagio bello verde,curato nell tutti particolari, stile siciliano..con la scalinata si scende diritamente sull una di più belli spiagge di Taormina- Mazzaro.. Proprietari molto attenti e disponibile. Importante anche la vicinanza di funivia che permette in qualsiasi momento raggiungere il corso di Taormina..nell villagio anche disponibili i posti per le macchine.. consigliatissimo

Bello, tranquillo e pulito in un angolo di paradiso. Villettine da 3-4 posti immerse nel verde, posto auto, colazione. Una scaletta porta direttamente a mare nella baia di Mazzarò. Gestori gentilissimi. Tornerò spesso.
