Ristorante Trattoria dai Bercau

We had two dinners here (since the first was so good) while staying in Verduno, and all the dishes we ate both times were absolutely delicious. It was nice to see that even just 3 days later the menu was slightly different- always a good sign.

My highlights were an incredible eggplant parma (one of the best I’ve had), a fried porcini mushroom dish, and Barolo
poached pear. My husband said the ravioli al sugo di arrosto was unquestionably the best stuffed pasta he’d ever had. The tagarin al tartufo nero, roast lamb, selection of cheeses, and bonet dessert were also all solid.

They also have a really exceptional selection of wines by the glass, which I really appreciated as I was the only one drinking so wasn’t up to delving into the bottle list. Great suggestions for amari & other after dinner drinks too.

We were saved by the same lovely man both times (forgot to get his name) and his wonderful service really added to the experience!

Highly recommend stopping in for a meal if you’re spending any time in Piemonte.

Honestly this was probably the best dining experience I have ever had. The food is unbelievable but the owner and staff really make this place special. We had our 5 month old baby with us and the waiter and owner (who also had a new baby) played with our baby while we ate the truffle course! We left feeling like family. We did the tasting menu and it was delicious, abundance of truffle and delicious well thought out dishes. Price point is good, portions are generous. A true family run but fine dining place. Thank you Dai Bercau giving us a place where fine dining and family can exist together.

Went here following a truffle-hunt experience where our guide knew the owners. They cleaned up one that we found and amended the tasting menu for dishes where they shaved our truffle onto our dish!! Service was very friendly and got to try wine which is hard to find outside of only this small town of Verduno. Very great experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was our first time at a restaurant without a menu where the plates arrive and you eat until full - having eaten some or all of the courses.

The setting on a warm summer evening could not be better.

The fifth star is definitely for the kid friendly atmosphere. The small play area and friendliness of the staff made for a perfect evening.

I am so glad to come here. The restaurant has a nice terrace beautiful garden. The food is exquisite. And have the best lamb in the region. The only problem I will say is that there is no menu, which is a bit difficultés for us.

Excellent restaurant, very tasty food in the heart of Barolo. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is classical without compromising on taste. I would definitely recommend you book before you come, especially as they are very serious about covid safety and checking your green pass status.

It was an excellent culinary experience for regional specialties from the Langhe-Piemonte region! All dishes homemade and so delicious that you would suspect to find “La Mama” in the kitchen (but more sophisticated). Actually, the two owner runs this place very profesional, being one of them the Chef in the Kitchen, while the other coordinates the rest. They have a fix menu: four appetizer, one Primi Piatti (you have to choose one of three different), one Secondo Piatti (one of three) and one dessert (one of three different kinds). Bread, water, coffee and digestif in the price included! The best is, that they charge you only what you eat. So, if you do not want the Secondo piatti, you can refused it and they won’t charge you for that! (You can go directly after the primi piatti to the dessert). Therefore, even if the menu is fixed, the price vary, which indeed is more than fair! The quality of all dishes were extraordinary good, like the service! Wonderful ambiente and nice people! Impressive vine list from the region (Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, etc.).
For me it was a perfect place to experience the local food from this region. A restaurant that I definitely can recommend! And for sure, that I will repeat it!

Beautiful garden to enjoy dinner with the hummingbirds flying around. Food had beautiful taste and the staff was kind, even though we had some trouble with understanding each other!

Everything was perfect. Impeccable service, traditional Piedmontese food done right, great ambience and wide wine list. Always a great experience. La tagliata di coniglio al gorgonzola is amazing and the pasta dishes so fresh. I love this place.

Fantastic! The local Pelaverga "sfusi" on pitchers is great! Started withtwo eggs fried "in tegame" generously covered with tartufi bianchi!!! Followed with costine di maiale al pelaverga! A great meal worth the trip!

Really nice food. Not much choice but that is one of the best parts about it. They also have a playground for children close by.
