I had such a lovely lunch here. The service was really above and beyond- the antipasti dish I had wanted wasn’t available that day, so they were able to make the anchovy portion of an antipasti trio into a solo dish for me, which was so appreciated! The gnocchi was heavenly as well. Just really kind people serving really beautiful food.

Excellent food, great service and, of course, superb wine....

Incredible food, both traditional and innovative, every dish my family ordered was tasty. I especially recommend the „Porcino“, a truly intricate and delicious mushroom dish. Staff was very nice, calm and homely atmosphere.

This place was a real shock with a large amount of respect for the traditional dishes of Piedmont but a huge amount of innovative cooking woven into the menu. It's also a place where you can eat vegetables, a very welcome thing if you're on a wine trip and trying to eat a bit healthily! It's an anglo-italian family with an English chef so very friendly if your Italian isn't up to much. But go for the food and friendly service.

What a delicious and fabulous lunch!
We absolutely loved the ambiance, food and service.
Everything from the starters to dessert was presented and cooked with outmost attention and top quality products.
There were a ample selection of wines (by the glass and bottle), including some that we found difficult to find on the market.
Everyone in the restaurant were so welcoming and helpful.
And a critical point in Italian restaurants: the toilets were clean!
Looking forward to coming back!

Fantastic food, great wines and very friendly hosts

Just eaten the most delicious lunch here, washed down with a local red wine and at a very reasonable price. We were given a complimentary amaro with our espressos. This is a family run restaurant with a passion for wonderful food and wine. Great welcome, relaxed, friendly and professional.

Don’t be fooled by the rather unsexy building, what lurks inside is an absolutely fabulous find! Very local cantina, Super friendly staff and a relaxed and comfortable interior. The main man speaks great english (his Wife, in the kitchen, IS English) . The food was amazing. Amuse Boucher was an olive oil dust with a small piece of ‘carne crudo’ Sausage. We ordered the slow cooked coddled egg and ‘romanesco cauliflower 5 ways’, just stunning. We then shared the local speciality ‘Gnocchi with Castelmagno Cheese Sauce ’, or Macaroni Cheese Barolo style, although that could not be further from how amazing this dish actually is. Beautifully presented and a fabulous wine list and happy days. Worth a major detour!

It is such a pleasure to have met and made friends with such beautiful people at La Cantina Wine Bar. We enjoy hours sitting on the patio under the glorious sunshine in Langhe and looking towards the Alps with snow tops during an extraordinary mid November. The true Langhe dishes come alive on plates served with fresh edible flowers, decadent sauces, and wines to savor for hours. We will be back our friends and cannot wait to experience yet another glorious afternoon at La Cantina Wine Bar 🙌

Lovely spot for lunch in the Langhe valley. Beautiful views, matched by the excellent and very fairly priced food, charming staff and top wine list. 100% worth the stop off.
