Hotel Athena

A wonderful hotel in the beautiful city of Siena. The hotel is highly recommended, with easy arrival and parking available on site. It's centrally located, about a 10-minute walk to the city center, and major attractions are within walking distance in 10-15 minutes. The reception staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel features a bar and a spacious rooftop terrace with a stunning view. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace, where Claudio, a staff member, personally brought us snacks and engaged in delightful conversation. The rooms were extremely clean and serviced daily, with complimentary daily water refills in the minibar. The breakfast was generous and the staff were all helpful and attentive. We could say much more, but it's best to experience it for yourself. We've stayed in numerous hotels, and none were nearly as perfect as this one. Thank you, Hotel Athena, for this unforgettable stay.

Excellent hotel in Siena. Its location it’s great bc it’s within walking distance to Siena’s attractions. Good accommodations and clean room. It also offers a terrace overlooking Siena landscape. Staff is very friendly and good breakfast. Recommended.

Clean, great location and excellent service. The front desk team will book you a cab, make dinner reservations and will accommodate you in anyway possible! The nicest people. Breakfast was great each morning. We will stay again. I’m sure I do not have his name correct but Asheesh was so helpful and kind. The terrace was terrific for catching a sunrise/sunset.

Clean cozy hotel. Located in the old part of the city. Leaving your car at the hotel, you can walk around the old town, enjoying its narrow quiet streets and studying ancient architecture.

One of the best places we have stayed at. The terrace is a great place to catch the sunset. Sierra was just amazing. Highly recommended to stay here. They even helped us organize a wine tasting/tour which was perfect

The first dinner; It took 40 minutes !??! for the order to be taken, even though we got a drink...;)
We waited patiently because at least we drank a good wine!!;)
Unfortunately the dinner was a disappointment….
The next day everything was fine, as if the "kitchen" had been replaced!;)
….. and on the third day the kitchen is again negative .

But, clean room, nice staff, great view during "dinner"!

Excellent service, great location, spacious and comfortable rooms. The views from this hotel are postcard picturesque! Breakfast was delicious and convenient, accommodating gluten free very well. Staff was so nice and helpful! Enjoy sitting on the terrace taking it all in....

We had vocation in Italy made stop in Siena. Good service and very clean is very important for me ,good location and safe .Definitely we back

A great stay. Super friendly staff. The location can’t be beat. From the hotel (that has parking) you can take a short walk into Siena and see everything. The hotel also has a terrace that has one of the best views in Siena. Truly beautiful. A highlight of our 14 day trip to Italy. The hotel itself feels like authentic Tuscany. Has a late 80s/early 90s vibe but that’s really part of the charm. Everything in rooms work, they were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owners clearly care a lot about the guest experience.

When Alesso checked us in, he informed us that they were providing us with a complimentary room upgrade (one with a better view) and also provided us with an excellent review of hotel perks and accommodations. While it is a little bit of a trek to get to the hotel and the terrain is quite hilly, it was really a lovely stay. We enjoyed dining at the hotel restaurant and were provided excellent service by the wait staff (I wish I could remember our waiter's name... he was fantastic and added to our dining experience)

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Athena. The staff are superb and so kind and helpful. You will be spoilt for choice for breakfast, we especially loved the croissants stuff with crème! The rooms are very clean and changed daily, and we enjoyed a lovely meal on the terrace which has a stunning view of the city. What would make it better? Being able to have breakfast on the terrace too. Also I have to say the Wi-Fi was not great in our room (409), it was very temperamental, slow and difficult to connect to sometimes. We did ask reception about it but not much could be done.

The photos of this hotel do it no justice. It’s beautiful, the rooms are lovely and bed is so comfortable to sleep on! It’s very clean and the staff are extremely kind! This hotel is situated right on the edge of the city centre but don’t be fooled, it’s only a 15 minute walk into the centre and with the beautiful paths of Siena and quaint shops along the way, it’s perfect. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend over and over!

The location is excellent! The closest one before the ztl, walking distance from the city, in addition, the parking is organized and free. The staff was smiling and great. They even upgraded our room. Clean and comfortable room. Very satisfied!

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time here. The hotel is located just at the edge of the old town, in a quiet location with wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside. Rooms were very comfortable and the beds were excellent. The morning breakfast was a great selection, and we also enjoyed a fine dinner at the Mangia restaurant. Best of all, the service was fantastic, from front desk, to bar and restaurant, to the housekeeping staff. A wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back again!

Beautiful hotel, with gorgeous views. The rooftop bar is open only to guests, but has an amazing sunset view. Located in a quiet area, but not far from town.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Athena. Quiet, fairly new location just inside the city walls but still no more than 10 minutes walk to major locations. Complimentary parking on-site is great if you have a car. Rooms are clean & well equipped and the included (if you get it) breakfast is a very complete buffet. Front desk staff very friendly & the rooftop terrace is a great place for an aperitivo or a dinner of Tuscan favourites. Great value.

My stay at Hotel Athena was like a reward at the end of a 4 day bike ride from Lucca -> Vinci -> San Gimignano -> Siena. The view from my room was spectacular and changed every moment with the setting sun and clouds. The staff was great, from the Terrace Bar to breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommend.

A great 1 night stay! Room was extremely comfortable and well prepped for a family of 4! Beds were comfy! Loved the location!
