One of the best free walking tours I’ve been to around Europe, and I’ve been to many. I like informative and educational tours and this one totally hit the spot for me. No spoilers needed, but this 2-2.5h tour is rich in cultural and historical content, presented by a super-guide Marco in an engaging and well structured way, in fluent English. Well researched tour covering historical context of Palermo as a city, arts, architecture, Sicilian culture, local customs, street life, jokes..also top tips for restaurants etc which my local friends confirmed as places to go to as well. Bravo Marco, keep up the good work!

Lots of stories, local tips, history and beautiful Palermo back street surprises. We never felt we were just another group of tourists on a walk - and we were a big bunch.

PS I hope the fish merchant in La Vucciria forgives you for us standing in his parking spot when he arrived in his car - and then you saying that it was another fist supplier that was the best - rather than his!!!!

Marco is an excellent guide! We went on many tours through Sicily and Rome and compared all the tours, and this was the best one! He was knowledgeable and broke down the complex history into manageable bits of information. He covers the main sights and has good food and drink recommendations. He was able to engage the group and was interactive rather than just spitting out dates and facts. I would strongly recommend this tour when in Palermo.

We had great time on a tour around Palermo. We got to know a lot of interesting facts about the city. Our guide was friendly and helpful. If you’re staying in the city for couple of days I recommend to take the tour in the beginning. You will get to know “secret” places and knowledge of the locals is priceless.

Marco was an amazing tour guide and the best we had during our trip to Sicily and Malta. He was humorous and provided just enough history about Palermo but nothing overwhelming. Pointing out all the good spots to visit in the City and happily answering everyone’s questions. The time flew by with him, and we had so much fun on his walking tour.

Marco has been an amazing tour guide! Very insightful, interesting, with a pinch of charisma, telling the story of the Palermo and the Sicilian history in an engaging and funny approach, which we have thoroughly enjoyed! Marco covered topics around the history, arhitecture, mafia, religion and answered very well further questions from the group. After the tour, Marco shared his phone number with the group and he responded very quickly by sharing several recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing points and also, at my request, he shared recommendations for Catania as well!
