Natural Reserve of Abbadia Fiastra

Since yesterday was a holiday in Italy, my friend recommended that we visited this place. Wow this is a huge natural reserve with a relaxing atmosphere & alot of greenery. There is also an option for hiking, play games like volleyball, football etc. On our way back to the car park, I decided to capture this beautiful sunset. Hope you love it. 😊

Quiet and lovely abbey surrounded by fields, small patches of woodland and hills. No monks left after the 2016 earthquake (the main buildings were deemed unsafe, although still standing), but a small cafe with very good pastries and a restaurant still operate. Its highlight is the monastery church, which is furnished in Roman antiquities, but some of the main pull factors are the wonderfully kept running and nordic walking tracks which span a variety of sights, lengths, difficulties, as well as the gardens in the immediate surroundings of the abbey.

Abbadia di Fiastra is always a beautiful place to visit....we walk our dog there regularly. The abbey itself and the tranquil cloisters are also well worth a visit.

And restaurant Da Rosa is excellent too! Stunning surroundings, lots of nature and gorgeous trees.

A unique place indeed for walkers, runners, bicycles, off road rollerblades on a vast network of mixed trails, paths, and hills. There are trails that can challenge anyone who likes open training or for those who seek solace in a natural scenery. The views are spectacular at all hours. The weekends are crowded. The best times to visit are early mornings and weekdays. Free parking, several specialized shops, restaurant and cafe are also on the premises.

Beautiful parklands and plenty of walking trails. Forest, the river and lots of open space for walking and dogs too.

A great place to spend some hours walking in the green, to have a drink at the bar and enjoy the silence of the surroundings.

every year I return there at least once. going there since I was a little kid and have beautiful memories with my grandparents.

Place, where you can hear only the birds and see the nature

An ideal place for a weekend with the family! Has a small museum of rural civilization, Abbey, monastery monks. A picnic area, restaurants. Excellent, cozy atmosphere. O, and the old huge oaks. So beautiful!!!

Various countryside walks around the area, you can cycle too. Plenty of places to find something to eat, to suit your taste and your wallet

Great place to relax. It's green, fresh, sunny and very big lanscape. Good for photography📸😊, good food around, horse riding, picnic etc...

Very relaxing place, you can go visiting the abbey or go Nordic walking. There is a spa, a local shop with erbs and liquors from the abbay and a restaurant

Beautiful buildings, cafe/bars and restaurant set in a nature reserve that perfect for a pre/post lunch walk.

Wonderful, flat easy walks. Nice bars and restaurants to chose from. Easy parking with good toilets.
