Unexpectedly great! We loved it. We unfortunately made a tour in Italian and despite having the free app with explanations in English, the tour guide couldn't say a single word to us in English, despite being very nice and friendly.

The experience was superb

A large cave network with a guided tour. The app as a guide was a great resource for us since we were on an Italian tour but we could still happily follow along. I would highly recommend bringing headphones for this tour if you either need a translated tour or just want to go through at your own pace a bit more. Very crazy limestone features exist in this place and this tour takes you quite deep along with very thorough explanations of how the caves were formed and changed over the years.

The place I want to call “WOW”. Good organization. Guide guy tells the interesting stories. In the caves +-14, not warm but comfortable if you bring a jacket. I really recommend to visit this place.

beautiful! it was 18 Euros for the tour and all is very well organized. if you want to do the tour that includes helmet and climbing, you need to book that in advance, but for the walking tour you can buy it the same day.

What a lovely experience, it was very beautiful! Buying tickets in advance can be handy but is not really necessary. But if you are close, this is a must watch. The tour guide has sufficient knowledge, it doesn’t take too long and is very very beautiful and surreal to see. The pictures don’t even do it justice, even though they already are very pretty.

The food places near the bus stop are expensive and not the best sandwiches but okay.

Wow! Incredible caves very worth your visit! Our English guide was so friendly and held a lot to tell. You spend around 1,5 hour in the cave. Inside its 14 degrees.

Incredible and a must visit if you are in the region. The grotto has a temperature of 14 degree through out the year. We arrived in T-shirts, shorts and sandals inevitability had a shock as soon as we enter the grotto. To learn from our mistakes. make sure you bring a jacket🧥

Spectacular and gigantic caves, stalactites and stalagmites! The guided tour was in Italian so I didn’t understand any of it but the views were enough to warrant a visit. The whole tour took about an hour, to give you n indication of how big it is.

I didn’t realise it but both my shoes had holes in them so my socks were quite wet by the end. It gets cold in there so bring a jacket!

As a person who lives in caves area in Czech, I was impressed. Here I must say it is all impressive. Biggest cave hall I have ever seen. See in photos. Bigest Stalactites, Stalagmites and Stalagnates I have ever seen in beautiful white colors. I will walk in cave about 1.5km but it will take you about 90mins. You can stay there even longer. Highly recommend these caves for visit. Best is to buy tickets online. You can find even vouchers for 2 euro discount. From parking place free bus will take you to cave entrance at the time of your ticket slot. All well organized.

Our journey through the bowels of the earth begins. An underground corridor opens into an immense cave; it is the Abisso Ancona. This hall measures 180 meters long, 120 meters wide and 200 meters high, it could contain the entire cathedral of Milan. Looking up I see in the half-light the high ceiling of the cave. You can still see the opening from which the first cavers descended on September 29, 1971.
As I get closer to the center of the hall the stalagmites get bigger and bigger, they are The Giants, beautiful like huge ivory sculptures. These stalagmites are 2 m - 5 m in diameter and 1.50 m - 20 m high. The boys who first explored the cave recognized the profile of Dante Alighieri in one of the giants.

How many treasures are hidden under the ground. As we walk along we see what reminds me of a bride's embroidered lace veil; it is a Crystallized Pond. A little farther on a calcium carbonate flow has formed the shimmering, off-white Niagara Falls. The caves seem alive, inhabited by a thousand fairy beings; at our feet rise the centuries-carved towers of a castle, Fairy Castle. Children imagine dragons, elves and mammoths among the stalagmites. The magic of nature with the complicity of time creates works of art, which with a pinch of imagination come to life.

We proceed to Room 200, which gets its name from its extension of about 200 meters. We observe above us the stalactites that cleave the air like shining blades. In the half-light we see another mysterious castle of reddish stalagmites; it is the Witches' Castle. We pass the Obelisk, the stalagmites tinged with earthy reflections, at times gray and pinkish. We plunge our gaze into the shaft that leads to the Barbara Hall. Wonders lurk around every corner, everywhere, the eye almost fails to catch them all.

We pass through the crevasses of the Grand Canyon Hall, I pause in front of a sculpture that glows under the light, they call it Organ pipes. If you could hit it gently, each of these "pipes" would create a different sound, how magical!

Nature is ready again to amaze us by giving us another spectacle of shapes and reflections. In front of us is a pond from which rise small stalagmites that look like so many candles. The Hall of Candles shows itself to us amid shining white and blue reflections. The droplets shatter the surface generating small circles while creating ethereal music that resonates among the rocks.

We had heard about it and there she is, the Ursa, she looks almost real, we could almost brush her snout. Children would like to climb on her back, but we can't even touch the limestone formations that are the result of years, centuries of Mother Nature's meticulous work.

We proceed discovering mysterious tunnels, amid the glare of light from crystals and a thousand abstract shapes our imaginations play with. We see shafts through which sulfurous waters used to rise. My mind travels imagining how many wonders lurk beneath our feet, yet to be discovered. Our mother earth, a constant surprise, an endless wonder.

Excellent cave experience. Cave was discovered only 1971, so the sightseeing path is up to modern standards. English tours are every two hours.

Only one English tour s day, but if you have missed it its not a problem, you can download your own guide and lister while there.
Very knowledge tour guide. And amazing experience. Would definitely recommend.

Very interesting and educational place! The grotto is spectacular, the landscape inside is mysteriously beautiful. At first I thought it was a small space but turns out the cave is large and deep like a museum. The design of the path is nice which lets you see many different types of rocks. The guides are friendly and helpful. We love this place

Excellent caves. And such a cool place when it's so hot outside. You don't need a jumper really

The caves are an absolute delight, they are simply amazing to look at. Around €18 for adults and parking is about 1km away (free bus ride to and from the parking - do not park nearby or risk a ticket!). Can get cold so bring a jacket (temperature is a constant 14ish degrees centigrade)

The experience of the Frasassi caves is quite unique, a must visit in the area! One of the most notable show cave in the world. The temperature inside is around 14 degrees with humidity 98%, a jacket is recommended. The bus pick you up from the car park and it's 5 minutes drive to the actual cave. There are many souvenirs shops around the area and typical food and restaurants. Worth visiting in the area San Vittore and Genga and the museums in the respective town.
