Osteria Mangia e Bevi - Piazza Marina

This is a special place! We stumbled upon it during a private city tour and immediately reserved a table for dinner. Food was a beautiful surprise - typical local fresh savory food, many local resident customers and very friendly service. Absolutely reasonable prices! Definite recommendation! Thank you Angelo and team!

So, I gave a 5 in all the categories. The food was great, we had the two appetizers with Sarde, Allinguate and Beccafico; both of them great. Then, we had Bucatini with anchovies and with sarde allá Parlemitano. Definitely, a Palermo menu. Angelo took great care of us and we were outside without the cars and the people walking around our dishes. Great experience, I’m returning tomorrow.

Our dinner at Osteria Mangia e Bevi was incredible. They have an extremely kind and hospitable wait staff and outstanding fresh food. For a dinner for 5 people with wine, appetizers and first courses, it was €120.

We went here at the recommendation of a guide and a favorite food blog. The food was great! The pastas were nicely salted and al dente. The cod sfincione was our favorite - delicious! European service is just different; servers leave you to enjoy your meal once you've ordered instead of trying to sell you more or chase you out. We love that! Although, it means you might have to find your server if you're in a hurry. Not sure how to square the other reviews other than to say that that wasn't our experience; we found the place clean and the food tasty.

Quite restaurant, away from the busy centre. Very good food, nice wine suggestion, a perfect place for a nice local meal.

Siamo stati qui a pranzo, ospiti di amici per la nostra prima visita a Palermo e abbiamo avuto modo di gustare squisiti piatti della tradizione palermitana in una location molto casereccia dall'arredo semplice e di recupero. Servizio e accoglienza al primo posto grazie alla simpatia e alla preparazione dello staff. Fritti, involtini con cipollotti e primi spaziali, con voto eccellente per gli spaghetti alla palermitana e il cannolo squisito della Piana degli Albanesi. Prezzi nella media e prodotti di qualità. Tutto super, ci torneremo sicuramente.
