Hotel La Bussola

We spent 6 nights at La Bussola, and enjoyed every moment there. The view from our room was incredible, every morning we opened the doors and shutters and just enjoyed the view of the marina.

The location was perfect, we attended a wedding that we were able to walk to in less than 10 minutes, and getting to the center of town was a quick walk. There was very little noise with the balcony doors closed, and only the noise of the marina when the doors were open, but not unpleasant or disturbing at all.

Breakfast was very good, a large variety of pastries, bacon and eggs, juice, and of course, cappucino.

My only complaint is that the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was fine for the time we were there. The rooms were very clean, and the housekeeping staff were excellent at keeping the room stocked with fresh towels and water in the refrigerator. I also have to compliment the front desk staff, as I had made a few changes to my reservation prior to our arrival, and they handled every request with professionalism and kindness.

The room is big enough, excellent cleanliness. Carefully managed and freshly prepared breakfast. All the staff are attentive and benevolent to the needs of the customers. We only stayed 4 days, but I will definitely come back in the future, to enjoy all the hotel's conditions for a longer period. I thank you for your professionalism!

An old pasta factory , the hotel is rich in history . The people who worked there take pride in their work. The room we were in was perfect. Clean, comfortable with all modern amenities. Breakfast was ample and the cappuccinos we had with breakfast was superb. One of the few hotels with their own parking ( paid ) . A short walk to all the shops, restaurants. Plus the ferry docks are a three minute walk away . We stayed 6 days and 5 nights and didn't want to leave .

We stayed at Hotel La Bussola for 12 days and loved it. Cleaning service came in everyday to fix our bed, change our towels, stock our fridge with waters, etc. the rooftop bar is amazing but it’s a little expensive so be wary (€18-€22) per drink.

Staff is very friendly and helpful for any questions you may need. Amalfi center is a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Breakfast every morning from 7:30-10:30 and had plenty of options (The lemon custard filled croissants were my personal favorite).

Overall we had an amazing experience at this hotel and absolutely will be back.

Did not want to leave! Absolutely enjoyable stay. We were there for 11 nights and felt like locals. The hotel is less than a five minute walk to the town center so it was very easy to return for a quick nap or shower.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, they arranged for a car pickup in Naples, offered suggestions for our itinerary, and helped us make reservations.
We stayed in the Prestige room which boasts a large space with beautifully tiled floor, jacuzzi, and large terrace with a table overlooking the water. The room was cleaned and the fridge restocked with water daily.

The included breakfast is a long counter to which you inform the staff what you would like with many items to choose from including pastries and croissants, eggs and bacon, fruit, juices and table service with genuine caffe services.

The Sea Waves bar on the rooftop has spectacular views and good music. The drink range from 18-22€ and comes with little snacks.

The restaurant is usually quiet, not many people come so it was great for a “private” dinner feel. Staff was very friendly and the food was 4-star hotel restaurant quality.

We opted for the beach lido instead of the hotel’s solarium across the street as we preferred to swim in the beach instead of the marina.

Overall, we will definitely be returning.

We stayed in the hotel La Bussola for 4 nights and we had a half board service.
We had a great time at this hotel. It is in a great location, short walking distance to the main square, the beach and the port if you want to go to Positano or other places by ferry.
The room was spacious, nice and everything was really clean. The hotel even accommodated for our diet, which we didn’t expect and we were amazed. The staff is very nice and helpful. All in all a 5 star experience, we would definitely come again. Thank you!

I could not recommend this place more! The location is absolutely perfect and the hotel/rooms are absolutely beautiful. Especially considering the price. We stayed in the comfort room with a side sea view which is one of the lower end rooms and it still exceeded our expectations! Friendly staff who provided great restaurant recommendations. Great breakfast buffet which is included in the cost. Hotel is located right across from the pier so it was a brief 5 minute walk for us to catch ferries to Salerno, positano, capri, etc. A short 5-7 minute walk to the main strip of restaurants and stores in amalfi. Some noise at night from room next door and outside traffic, but nothing unbearable. Beautiful terrace open 5pm-12am every night where we had incredible cocktails and watched the sunset. Will definitely return!!!

Stayed here in early Aug 2023 for 5 nights which was the perfect base for our family Amalfi coast stay. The hotel is walking distance from the port which allowed us to ferry to Positano and Capri. Also walking distance from the main piazza. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful including local and homemade options and dinner also exceeded our expectations - delicious and quality produce. Will definitely stay here again!!

Room was beautiful and the service was amazing! The rooftop terrace is a nice touch for when you want to enjoy the views, but don’t want to go far - it was stunning at night! The hotel is right next to the port and in an excellent location in general. It’s also good for those that can’t walk uphill much (there are maybe ~10ish steps to go into the building, but after that, it’s just the elevator).

Amazing hotel and even better hotel stuff! Everyone is very pleasant and lovely. They were willing to accommodate us even without reservations. The rooms have terraces with amazing view! We would love ro return one day.

The location of Hotel La Bussola is perfect. A short level walk into town , with immediate access to their swimming lido directly across the road. I suspect that with the nature of Amalfi, few other hotels equal it’s location on the port , and it’s views.

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but makes up for it once you go inside. The rooms are gorgeous, and all seem to have a nice "marine-fruity" theme going for them. In our case, we had shellfish and fish ceramics along with lemon colours to pair it all.

We had a superb view of the ocean and marina, and the location is just outside the central area (just a 3 minute walk from the tourist area). The service was very friendly and helpful as well.

The breakfast had a great selection. The only thing I thought was a little weird is that it's a served buffet. Perhaps it was to reduce the amount of people touching the spoons and forks?

We also tried their rooftop bar in the evening. It was quite expensive. Most cocktails cost around €16, and the beers/wines about €8-10. However, they do provide some apps for you to snack on while you're enjoying your drink.

All in all, very pleased with La Bussola. All in all an expensive experience, but everything is expensive in Amalfi.

Best hotel you could find in Amalfi in terms of location, price and great hospitality, very lovely hotel staff that and willing to accommodate and help at anytime. It’s really convenient for those who like easy access to the Dummo and the port. If you make your right decision by staying at La Bussola please say hi to Tomas, Francesca and Giuseppe.

Beautiful place to stay with a great location — right on the water with amazing views, 2 steps from downtown, the bus, and the ferry to get to any other part of the Amalfi Coast. And their breakfast was excellent and staff was very helpful

Flavia (she manages their Instagram page @amalfibussolahotel) helped me clarify the best room type suited for my girlfriend and I. She sourced specific videos from previous guests who have stayed at the hotel, and it was perfect in helping me pin point the exact style room/ view point most preferred! This is a gorgeous hotel in a great location in Amalfi. Our room was perfect with a balcony overlooking the harbour and was cleaned nicely every day. Breakfast service was great. No complaints at all.

The people working at this hotel are the best! They are so friendly and helpful. It's really a fantastic experience for me in Amalfi Coast.

The hotel is so charming! There is the most beautiful unobstructed view of the sea and boats from I believe all rooms. The staff at the hotel are also extremely helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again.

I visited Amalfi last week.
I found a hotel that is convenient to park because I used a rental car.
The 'Hotel La Bussola' was very convenient because it had a dedicated parking lot.
It was the best condition for me.
It was very close from the hotel to the main square. The accessibility was good.
The hotel was really nice. The terrace was really fantastic.
Looking at the beautiful view, I wanted to stay only in the hotel.
I had a dreamy time at the hotel.
The breakfast at the hotel was also very satisfying.
I will stay at this hotel even if I go to Amalfi again.
I'd like to express my gratitude to the hotel. They gave me good memories.
