The villa and staff where 5*. Large pool, jacuzzi with fantastic views, effectively a private beach and large fully equipped outdoor kitchen including a pizza oven. This is a luxury 5* rental spot.
We managed to relax/ hide in the middle of the second wave at villa. Augusta, a 20 minute drive, has a large, well stocked supermarket open for a few hours a day - some food had to be ordered a few days in advance but we had a great experience and could keep the place stocked.
We booked via The Thinking Traveller who where unable to be flexible even in the middle of a pandemic when Italy was locking down and the UK was changing the quarantine rules. This is old-fashioned thinking that once the company has your money they can hold the family vacation to ransom was out of tune with events. In this new world a lot more flexibility to allow travel to restart/ provide confidence when booking is required. Therefore this is not one we can recommend until C-19 is no longer an issue. So probably avoid the agent in 2021 and be careful to get the right booking conditions before paying a deposit etc...
However, I am sure you can book directly with staff or once this bug is gone.
The staff and villa are 5* and a great vacation spot.
