Hotel Continental Taormina

Wonderful hotel with amazing terrace, great variable fresh breakfast for Italian style, very kind and positive staff, and nice clean rooms.
I would recommend this hotel for stay as it is located in very center, and you can enjoy view to Etna on your breakfasts. As we had birthday they also upgraded our room
which made our stay even more memorable. The public parking is very close if you use backdoor. Reception can advise nice places to go to have food and you can have 10%off as guest.
The only thing is that doors in rooms are not well isolated, so you can hear easily noises in the hall and even winds.
I would recommend to stay in renovated rooms with the view and balcony as it is amazing.

A year ago, I visited this incredible place, and it left a lasting impression. The location is stunning, and the view from the restaurant's spacious terrace is breathtaking. Enjoying a sunset there with a glass of prosecco or a cold pint and a bowl of local olives is truly priceless. The service is excellent, and the rooms, though small, are cozy and well-maintained.

Parking can be a challenge in Taormina, as it has limited spaces, but the hotel provides a convenient solution. While there's no on-site parking, the reception offers parking for an additional daily fee. Simply leave your key with them, and they handle everything. When you need your car, they'll have it ready in front of the hotel within 15 minutes. I highly recommend this option. Moreover, the hotel's central location allows easy walking access to everything, making it a perfect choice.

Best hotel in Taormina! Clean. Smoke-free. Amazing Views, Easy Vallet Parking in front and The best buffet breakfast in Italy. Friendly front-desk staff that knows English and can help book beach clubs and tours. Mini Bar, shower with mood lighting in the bathroom and fresh fruit in your room when you arrive. Did I mention the amazing Breakfast.

Excellent hotel, great view, nice and clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff. The terrace is amazing. Well located not far away from the city center.

What an awesome hotel. Great location (easy for drop off and pick up), spacious rooms, amazing views (beautiful terrace!). Easy shortcut through garden to get right into town.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Magnificent Skyview bar view of the mountains and the ocean below that's literally located on the top of the hotel. The rooms themselves are abundant in space and well maintained. Staff is very knowledgeable and honest (special mention to Sabina) !!! Most important detail is the location - super quick access to the main hub in Taormina, perfect for couples, singles, or a family. Other hotels may be cheaper but require many slopes to access the main strips. The surrounding area is littered with beautiful flowers, cacti and mountain scenery. The pizzarea located near the footsteps of the 1st floor access point of the hotel is phenomenal and open til 1am!!!! One of the best pizzerias in Taormina.

CAUTION:
Whatever you do in the city - don't rent a vehicle unless you have to. The roads are tight and the laws of the road don't apply. Hire a taxi 🚖, you'll thank me later.

Great location! Close to all the good restaurants and bars. Staff are super friendly. Great roof top bar where breakfast is served every morning with great views.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the Duomo. This can be a bit noisy but we loved the atmosphere.

We had a really short stay here but wished it had been longer, first off the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome & relaxed, after a very long day of driving to get here they started with excellent guiding to their front door, if you have been to Taormina you will know that the streets are very tricky to navigate, a lot of one ways, so if you miss a direction it’s a long way to get back and very skinny streets. Sabina & Stefano in particular were so helpful and kind.
Then they have a lovely sky bar for drinks & meals, such a magical spot.

Nicely located hotel up the hill from the main walking street. It has a fantastic Sky Bar with a view across the town and water. Nice rooms and the breakfast has a wide variety of items. Beautiful garden.

Mins to piazza duomo tormina you can go from the Back and few steps and voila your in the center of tormina , there is a parking fee€20 quite reasonable becuse it’s a nightmare to park in tormina , rooms are very clean and comfy , and the breakfast Veru good lots of variations with a spectacular view , highly recommended ❤

We were on a road trip and we booked a last minute room on our way back home after having had some troubles along the way. We found a very welcoming and friendly receptionist (Daniela) who I would like to thank you for her kindness in helping and assisting us. The room was just perfect: clean, bright, great view and really comfortable bed. We also had some drinks and food at the hotel bar that we enjoyed very much with the excellent view from the room.

The place was beautifully clean. The entire staff was wonderful. So helpful. I was here for a week on a Road Scholar tour. Fabulous views of Mt. Etna and the town. Too cool when I was there to have a drink on the balcony but their bar area inside is very comfortable and has stunning views of Mt. Etna. Breakfast buffet was delicious every day.

We went to this hotel to enjoy a drink with a beautiful view of Taormina and Mt Etna from their rooftop terrace bar and ended up deciding to stay for the night. Even thou it was last minute during the busy summer season, Daniella made it happen. She gave us a beautiful corner room with a large terrace and arranged for us to have warm tasty breakfast very early the next morning since we needed to catch an early flight from Catania. Thank you so much for the outstanding customer service, Daniella and Paolo.

My family had the best hospitality experience at Hotel Continental. It is perfectly situated in the center of town and the rooms are huge. The staff provided 5-star service. Its owner, Stefano, made us feel like family. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast service staff were attentive and went above and beyond each time, especially for our son. Lastly, the rooftop bar staff were also pleasant. Bonus is the view of Mt. Etna from the rooftop bar, especially on nights that there are eruptions. If you’re looking to head to the beach, they will also arrange a shuttle service for you to go to one of the 4 beach bars below Taormina. Would recommend Continental to everyone because of Stefano and his staff!

Had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. Great views of Etna from the rooftop terrace and very well located for exploring the town centre. Can't praise the staff enough. Very warm and accommodating. Was late to breakfast one day and they insisted on extending service just for me without me even asking them to. Mentioned to the reception staff that we would be checking out at 5am and they asked if we'd like coffee or a small bit of breakfast prepared for us for when we go. Would definitely stay again.

This is a LOVELY hotel. Staff are wonderful. Friendly, helpful, always pleasant and cordial from the room staff upwards. I shall be coming back.
The hotel is a boutique hotel. It is very central just minutes from the city centre shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. It is not especially suited to those who are infirm. There are lots of steps although it is possible to get to the same city area by coming out of the hotel turning left and just walking. At the end you hit several restaurants and by just going left onto the cobbled street and through the archway at this junction takes you down onto the main Corso Umberto and Piazza del Duomo. If you're a spendthrift leave your credit cards at home. The beautiful leather bags and shoes are irresistible there and utterly gorgeous. Do also visit the cathedral and the pretty local churches.
There is no swimming pool and this hotel is B&B only which is absolutely great. The breakfast provided even with Covid restrictions is plentiful and very tasty with more than enough choice and I am Coeliac with nut intollerance. The roof top bar and terrace offer some amazing views and a very pleasant way to wile away the hours day or evening.
If you want to go to the beach it's easily done either independently or through the hotel with collection and return included. I went to Carvella. It cost me 17.50 euros all in for sun bed umbrella and transport to a shingle black vocanic beach with very practical sunbeds. Don't let that beach description put you off its fine and the sea is friendly for swimming. The food at the restaurant there is very good and their Chiara cocktails are way too moreish!
I am a Coeliac with nut intolerance and I have been able to eat without any problems or issues whatsoever everywhere I have visited by having risotto and fish. It is no big deal to be "Sono Celiaco" (masculine) "Sono Celiaca" (feminine) anywhere here in Taomina. Don't have pasta tho.
For gym bunnies there is a gym just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It's small very compact but perfectly suitable and is 10 euros for 90 minutes. I've been 4 times.
I have had a wonderful week here both in Sicily and this hotel. I'm sorry I didn't book longer but I'm definately coming back next year and providing your pretty able bodied I can't imagine anyone finding difficulties here or fault with this hotel. It's been magical. Thank you everyone for making it so.
