Vecchia Masseria

The views of the countryside are incredible. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is exceptional. The food is great and very reasonable. The hot tub didn’t work. There were a group of donkeys including an adorable baby. I do not recommend visiting the Villa Romana. Large groups clog the path. The house red wine is excellent!

Beautifully landscaped and maintained setting with mix of old buildings and new rooms. Wifi works, acces road is dirt but if you made it this far in Sicily you’ve had worse. Caters to groups mainly so the restaurant has one menu for all only. But the cooking is surprisingly creative and excellent value for money. A perfect relax spot in between hectic sightseeing.

First time here was when covid struck, and we got kicked out of Sicily. We went back because we had to see what it was really like, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The food is first rate. The rooms are really good, too. And as for the surrounding area, it is just fantastic. Much of their food is grown in their gardens, and they make their own olive oil, which is divine! I can't speak highly enough of Vecchia Masseria. It is all just lovely!

Vecchia Masseria is an 'off the beaten track' gem. The buildings are decorated in a charming rustic-chic style, the grounds are beautifully kept and the facilities are excellent. A very reasonably priced, delicious evening meal, a plentiful breakfast and friendly staff make this place hard to beat. Would thoroughly recommend a stay. We are just sad we couldn't spend more than a couple of days here!

the agriturismo is a haven on earth... for its quiet relaxing place with hi class food, room service and views, it's the ideal place to be. Thanks to the staff for their great help and service and 👍 for Phillipe and his staff for the food.

Wonderful hotel, very clean, friendly staff and very accommodating to our needs, we requested some changes and everything was done. We loved all the green trees, we could pick our own fruits, kids loved it. Definitely child friendly and also romantic for couples looking to escape . We will come back.

Accomodation - the agriturismo is very nice and located in the middle of 2000 hectares of trees and vegetation.

Room - were clean, spacious, including AC, TV and towels plus pool towels

Parking - ample all over the place and secure parking for motorcycles. CCTV most of the areas.

Food - dinner served was an agriturismo menu, which was very good and the buffet breakfast was super.

The food was exquisite & the facilities/atmosphere was captivatingly beautiful. During our 2-week holiday spent in various hotels around eastern-Sicily, Vecchia Masseria was for sure one of the best. The only down side was unexpectedly needing to pay for a 50€ taxi ride to the location as it is rather isolated and we did not have our own car to drive with. Other than that, a definite 5 star recommendation! ✨

We spent 7 days at the Vecchia Masseria, a cozy little place with charming and professional staff, taking care of you and your wishes. While being a little outlying (get a rental car for longer stays), it offers basically everything you need, serves sublime local cuisine and excels with attentive service. The rooms are clean and modern. When looking for a calm and cozy place to relax, you gonna like Vecchia Masseria.

A fantastic experience. The staff were amazing, at entire but not intrusive. The facilities were excellent, cleanand well maintained. Food was home cooked with a four course evening meal. If you don't like a remote venue tucked in the hills don't come. If you like being away from everything with the opportunity to walk and totally switch off it is great. Easy access to Siracusa and the Roman Villa. Just over an hour drive from Catania airport.

We had a very pleasanr stay. Staff was VERY friendly and always very professional. Rooms were clean and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were always delicious. :) would definetly recommend staying at this hotel. :)

Very nice accommodations. Clean, beautiful setting. Restaurant was very good. Rooms were big. Our bed was a little hard but clean. Pool area was special. Calming.

Wonderful place. Accommodation, staff and food all first rate. Makes for a most restful holiday. Two hour quad bike ride was not to be missed!

It is a enchanted place in the middle of Sicilian woods, you can feel by just getting there that it was, and still is, a place where to relax and enjoy your time, the walls themselves have many stories to tell

A gem in the middle of Sicily, with gorgeous views. Worth staying at least a night if you visit Caltagirone or Piazza Armerina
