Le Gurne dell'Alcantara

7. 9. 2021 Le Gurne dell'Alcantara 2021 (delayed review). Beautiful nature, stones and a river. We were unlucky with the weather. After walking for a while, we got caught in a freak storm. We lost an hour hiding in a cave. We gave up on continuing on the trail and walked through Francavilla di Sicilia to the ruins of Ruderi del Castello. We continued on by car to the Gole Alcantara Botanical and Geological Park, which we visited. More youtube, travel video PSIS-visit. Iva + Petr CZE Prague

It's not as crowded as the other one. It's also more difficult to reach. But in other hand It's free and also amazing!

Drive pass the official location, head into next town and follow signs to Le Gurne. Don't be put off by the small car park at the top and territorial Alsatian, follow the path to the right and it is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to the river. Rock pools, waterfalls, rocks to bask on and jump from. No litter when we visited and just a few other people. Ignore the very touristy location down the road and come here instead.

Great place to go, not too easy to access and directions are hard to see, but well worth seeing anyway!

A little place foget by every one. We went after have watched the gole where all the people stay. In the gurne there are two little “natural” pools with cold water and very few people. We have spent many minutes alone with nature. Highly raccomanded

Such a Beautiful and megical place 😊

The best part was the one hour hike around the mountain with the castle on top. Arriving at the "Gurne" was the deserved treat.

Use the public access to avoid paying for the lift down. There is a ticket booth for access outside the park which charges about 1.5 euros rather than 12 euros for the park

Piccola oasi di pace vicino il fiume Alcantara. Si lascia la macchina vicino la statale e si procede a piedi fino alle due aree attrezzate dove si può fare un piccolo barbecue (se portate l'attrezzatura) e approfittate delle panchine e dei tavoli. Se si procede con il sentiero (ben segnalato) si trovano questi scorci di natura che vedete nelle foto

Spettacolari e bellissime cascate, meno affollate delle famosissime gole dell' Alcantara. Si raggiungono con una passeggiata di un chilometro circa ma ne vale veramente la pena, serve un minimo di esperienza da trekking. Punto da visitare ma attenzione ad arrivarci in macchina...

Sentiero molto bello , ad anello , siamo scesi a valle , abbiamo trovato un area picnic , dove si può mangiare è sentire lo scroscio dell'acqua , più avanti lo spettacolo, scenario davvero bellissimo ! Posto meraviglioso, consiglio vivamente di andare .....i colori , il suono , vi concederete un momento di Total Relax ! Ci ritornerò in estate per assaporare l'acqua ! E rendere la visita ancora più gradevole .

Un posto tranquillo e suggestivo, lasciato in stato di semi abbandono ma vale comunque decisamente la pena visitarlo!

Als je van natuur en rust houdt wil je hier zijn geweest, prachtig, wel klein, geschikt om mooie foto’s te maken en een frisse plons te maken! Zijn parkeerplaatsen aanwezig en gratis!

Le Gurne dell'Alcantara sono una serie di laghetti situati nella Valle dell'Alcantara in Sicilia! Posto incantevole, ambiente incontaminato e acqua pulita, limpida ma gelida. Noi l'abbiamo raggiunto in quad, ma è possibile raggiungerlo a piedi con un facile percorso di 1.5 km. Vale la pena visitarle
