Best apartment

Liked · I initially booked a studio apartment, but to my delight, I was upgraded to a stunning 2-bedroom apartment—absolutely amazing! Every detail was impeccable. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom offered a delightful view, and the temperature control was a real plus during the winter stay.

Special commendation to Maria and her son, a truly lovely host, who made my experience even more enjoyable. The daily breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delightful spread of croissants, toast, various jams, butter, cheese, juice, and coffee—a truly delightful Italian breakfast.

In every aspect, this stay went above and beyond my expectations. A heartfelt thank you for making my time here truly memorable!

Disliked · The location is a bit of a mixed bag. If you arrive and depart by train, it's convenient as you can deboard one station before the central station, just a 10-minute walk to the B&B. However, if you're coming from the central station, be prepared for a 30-minute walk.

One notable point is that the B&B is situated on the 4th floor, and currently, there's no lift. While this might be manageable for some, it can be challenging, especially if you're carrying luggage. The good news is that they're in the process of building a lift, but until it's completed, you might need to climb 5 flights of stairs.

Consider these factors based on your preferences, but overall, it's a decent option.

I just spent 3 months living in Salerno Italy, staying at casa Maria. I am so beyond grateful for the hospitality, kindness, love and care shown by the hosts Antonio and his mother Maria. They have moved mountains to help myself and other guests, they care for us with pride and go beyond the surface level attention that you expect from a temporary stay. They made this place my HOME. The apartment was impeccable and should I ever need assistance it was offered INSTANTLY. No other place to even bother staying at in Salerno.

Wonderful, clean, modern apartment with fantastic rooftop terrace. Host was very friendly & helpful, his mom Maria made us a delicious breakfast. Beautiful bathroom, elevator is not ready yet but is being built.

I stayed there for 3 weeks at the beginning of my semester abroad and can highly recommend Casa Maria. The rooms are well furnished. The booking included fresh croissants and coffee and juices every morning. The living room and the kitchen are shared with the family. The host speaks fluent english which is quite seldom in my experience regarding this area.

The apartment is located in the heart where the daily life in Salerno takes place, with bus and train stops as well as the ferry in short walking distance to reach for example the Amalfi coast or Neapel.

What a gem of a place! I stayed at Casa Maria for two nights. The building is located in the historic old town, which is very atmospheric and picturesque. It takes about 20 minutes on foot to reach the train station or the ferry terminal from there. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity as well. The flat (yes, the flat, not just a room!) was very comfortable - modern, well furnished, clean and with a working kitchen and WiFi. The best part however was the feeling of being welcome in a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The hosts are very hospitable and deserve high praise for running such a wonderful B&B. If I'm ever back in Salerno, it will be definitely my first choice!

Antonio and his mother were amazing host's. During our stay, we had the sea view room and it was very clean and new. His mum made us coffee and baked fresh croissants every morning. Antonio was very helpful in carrying one of our bags up, telling us the best sights to see, how to get there and gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. He greeted us with wine and snacks as well.

Our room had excellent views of the ocean from the balcony and awesome poptop windows on the ceiling that give good views back up the hill.

It truly made our stay one to remember.

I stayed at Casa Maria last february and loved the experience. The hosts, Maria and Antonio, were so nice and welcoming. My room was clean, confortable and had a balcony with a beautiful view of Salerno. Breakfast was also good. The place has a central location, check in and check out were very easy, I would definitely recommend and stay there again if given the opportunity. :)

AMAZING!!! Classic building in the historic center of Salerno, but inside, the room is modern, immaculately clean; and Donna Maria's son gave detailed instructions around the area with a tourist map...incredible views from my balcony to the sea, and also with views to the Castello above Salerno...and tonight, Mama is cooking for me...don't miss it!! Book this place NOW!!! 15 minutes walk from the train station straight up the pedestrian way, easy to find.

It was one of the better guesthouses I have stayed in the area. It was spot clean, well-decorated, spacious, and quiet, tucked in the back of a neighborhood at the edge of the old town with a fantastic view of the city. Maria and her son were very kind, which made the stay that much more enjoyable. Great value for the price as well.

Fantastic hosts! They're very helpful and give you excellent and detailed advice on what to do and where to go/eat, as well as transportation tips. They also translated for us when we needed help.
The place is clean and is in a convenient location, just a 20 min walk from the train station.
It's on the top floor with no elevator, so it gives you a great work out for all that delicious food!

I stayed there for one night and a couple days. I think the view from the room, breakfast, and the hospitality was outstanding. I would recommend this for any future occupants. I do plan on making another trip and hopefully staying in the same room. Its not far from the beach and a 15 - 20 minute walk or so from the train station.

Perfect b&b in centro storico Salerno close to everything. Nice room with AC, beautiful terrace. Clean.

i had a great experience in the casa maria ,i would recomnend all my friends to go there for vacation . Both Maria and Antonio were very welcoming and excellent hosts. They would tell me all the best places to visit and they were always in a good mood!Their house is beautiful,rooms and apartments and I specialy enjoyed all the breakfasts and amazing delicious dinners cooked by Maria.looking forward to return soon!:)

Quando ero in cerca di una struttura che ospitasse me e la mia famiglia per una notte nella città Salerno, scelsi Casa Maria esclusivamente per il nome e la posizione (estremamente centrale).
Maria era mia nonna, la mia seconda mamma.
La scelta si rivelò azzeccata, poiché nelľairb&b a conduzione familiare si respira aria di casa.
Antonio e sua madre sono accoglienti e  disponibili a rispondere a qualsiasi richiesta/esigenza turistica. Ľappartamento che ci è stato assegnato si trova in un palazzo storico delľ800, gli interni ben curati, moderni e antichi nello stesso tempo, il quartiere è vivo e colorato.
Se dovessi ritornare in città li sceglierei ancora, con la voglia di prendersi una birra con il proprietario, ascoltando storie e leggende salernitane sulla terrazza vista mare.
