Villa dei Mosaici di Spello

Ancient Roman site with splendid remains, discovered not so long ago. Very well organized and maintained, apparently discovered by accident during some excavation works.

Very interesting place where you can see the Roman house mosaic discovered in recent years. I don't know the Mosaic House in Sicily, that apparently is bigger than this one, but for me it worth the visit.

Excellent mosaics, well presented, with good signage in both Italian and English.

A short walk from the train station, Villa dei Masaici di Spello is a gem of a place to visit! We paid extra for a guide who was very pleasant and enthusiastic (as would be expected). Our guide was excellent describing the significance of this find and helping to put together the pieces to understand what the history of this villa may have been.

Nice villa. Is not big, but the main mosaic is interesting. The visit is a complement to the visit of Spello old town

Well presented but I wish they had a 3-D model in addition to the video. Parking lot 50 m away requires payment but the instructions are incomprehensible, so just drop in a coin, get your ticket, and put it on your dash.

Spello is one of the most beautiful hill towns in the area. Don't miss this mosaic museum, they did a beautiful job with the exhibits. The entrance fee is modest and worth every penny.

Great exhibition with videos showing how the rooms of this Roman villa might have looked. They provide a comprehensive explanation of how the rooms were used plus a timeline comparing Umbrian, Etruscan, Roman and Spello’s development. Very interesting giving insight to daily life.

Absolutely stunning. Beautifully restored. Fascinating history. Lots of information in perfect English to help you get the most out of your visit. Not to be missed.

Mosaics are nice but not at the same level as piazza armerina unlike what the 2 old guys at the top of the town said. Exceptional toilet!
