Its the first piazza you will see when you enter Spello from the train station. Right from the start it creates a medieval vibe and the rest of the town is pretty amazing with small piazzas, bars, restaurants and gelaterie. Especially the panoramic view from the top of the centro storico.

Roman entrance from the 1st century BC in an amazing condition. Because it is the first thing to see I am adding here also some pictures of streets, so u can see what a vem this town really is👍

Amazingly preserved medieval city. Beautiful greenery and flowers everywhere. We enjoyed walking around in all the alleys for a few hours.

We cycled from Assisi to Spello to see yet another amazing and incredibly well preserved and fortified hill town. The electric bicycles we hired were amazing. Spello is a little less tourist oriented and well worth a visit.

Spello is an ancient town and comune of Italy, in the province of Perugia in eastern-central Umbria, on the lower southern flank of Mt. Subasio. It is 6 km NNW of Foligno and 10 km SSE of Assisi.
