Casa dell'Aromatario b&b

We stopped for one night in Sciacca on our way from Palermo to Agrigento and after arriving we only wished we had more time to spend! We were so fortunate to have found the B&B Casa dell’Aromatario! Our room was lovely; very quiet, nicely furnished and with a great bathroom and fantastic shower. I love that they have one outlet that remains on when you remove the master power key so we were able to charge devices when we left the room. The breakfast was ample with pastries, local meats, cheeses etc. served in an amazing “cave-like” room that was unearthed as the historic building was lovingly restored by the owners.

The best part of this B&B however is the two brothers who run it. Silvio is an amazing host, helping with everything from parking your car to making dinner reservations. His enthusiasm for Sciacca is infectious and he is quick to point out interesting places to go/see while you visit his beautiful seaside town! Carmelo is a passionate gardener who has transformed the alleyway alongside their building into a paradise of tastes and smells. Be sure to take time to allow him to tour you through the many exotic herbs and plants he grows — he dries and packages many of these for purchase if you like. As we speak I am sipping some amazing Mexican sweet mint tea that is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted!

I highly recommend the B&B and encourage you to visit Sciacca with Silvio and Carmelo as your hosts!

This B&B will treat you like family! When my wife and I first arrived at the B&B we were immediately impressed with the beautiful building and the beautiful interior space; the room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable, and was designed beautifully. We knew right away that we wanted to stay a couple extra days rather than go back to Palermo. It was really nice to be able to wake up in the morning and get breakfast downstairs in a space with so much history, which the owners took the time to explain to us in much detail. The breakfast was very delicious and offered many local foods like meat, cheese, pastries, and even an anchovy dish the owners prepared. We got to experience tasting and smelling many unique and interesting herbs and plants! The rooftop terrace was special and provided us with a place to sit while we ate pizza and enjoyed the bustling sounds of Sciacca at night. Our hosts were so knowledgeable of the history of the building and also gave great recommendations for where to eat, see sights, and explore. It is clear to us that the owners really care about their guests and the history of their building and town. This was by-far the best experience we’ve had in Italy so far and we definitely want to return in the future.

This place is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sciacca and also getting to know Silvio and Carmelo. I have to praise their personal involvement and hospitality, which makes this plase a great b&b. Besides that, the room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delicious. I wish we could have spent more days there.

We had the fortune of coming to Sciacca for a wedding. Our friends who were getting married had previously stayed there and recommended we stay there as well. To say it was a good recommendation is an understatement.
Silvio and his brother Carmelo were incredibly kind and welcoming. The check in process was seamless. When Silvio understood we had to park our car, he jumped into the car with us without hesitation to guide us to the nearest parking. While walking back with us he then treated us to a brief history of town and pointed out a place we could get some food despite the quiet and hot afternoon time. The rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was served downstairs in a beautiful grotto-like room. There we met Carmelo, who was serving us breakfast. The breakfast consisted of a lovely selection of local pastries, jams, cold meats and cheeses as well as home made fennel pate with anchovies. Silvio’s brother also keeps all kinds of different herbs and plants in the back yard. He treated us to an amazing smelling and tasting tour explaining precisely what to do which each plant. All in all we highly recommend staying here. Everyone is so lovely and Silvio and Carmelo will go out of their way to ensure you have a good experience at their B&B. Thank you Silvio & Carmelo! If we come back to Sciacca we will definitely stay with you again!

Silvio and his brother Carmello are excellent and thoughtful hosts. Silvio gave us the appropriate amount of information to get us through each day without being overwhelming, and was genuinely available whenever we needed him. The b&b is conveniently located in the historic district, a walkable area with free parking nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Breakfast is served in a restored ancient cave, and there is a large rooftop terrace on which to relax and take in some sun. Carmello will guide you through his beautiful terrace garden of aromatic herbs. Each room is named for an aromatic. We stayed in a double room with a balcony and large windows that connected to a small annex room perfect for a third adult to sleep (Salvia and Oregano). Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Visiting the Valley of the Temples is an easy day trip.

One of the better Bed and Breakfasts in Sciacca. I stayed for a week and enjoyed every day, starting with a delicious breakfast. Silvio and Carmelo are a great team

I cannot express enough how wonderful this place and the owner's hospitality is! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sciacca, and very much appreciate the LOVE and effort that Silvio has put into transforming the space into a welcoming, clean, and beautiful place to stay. I wish we could have spent more days there. The breakfasts were delicious, the room/bed was very comfortable, and the thoughtful attention he pays to each guest is outstanding! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Silvio is a top host! We stayed here in August. I originally booked two rooms for 3 persons, but Silvio was honest enough to recommand us the family room. This was cheaper for us, so I thought it was really sweet of him. We stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed every minute of it. Breakfast was fresh and Silvio's brother served us the best coffee. I would recommand everybody this B&B. Silvio will make you feel like a king or a queen!

Silvio is such a wonderfull and helpfull persoon. He would do anything in his power to give you a great vacation in his B&B. He even made sure our parking tickets were cancelled. And if the restaurants would treat his guests wrong, he would let them know that he is not amused. When i had to pick up my car from the Verdura resort, he gave me a ride.
The rooms were great and cleaned to perfection. Our clothes were always folded when we returned. The breakfast is tasty, but don't expect an English breakfast. There is bread, local jams, cheese,... And Silvio's brother will help you with everything.

A real pearl in the city that is Sciacca.
I would definitly return here and recommend this place if you are planning on staying in Sciacca. Say 'hi' to Silvio for me.

A fantastic place. Carmelo and Silvio go all the way to make you feel comfortable and at home, and their in their dedication to the guests one can see the passion they have for their job and for their town. If you are ever near Sciacca, you must stay here!

Very good place to stay

Lo consiglio vivamente questo bel B&B. 2 giorni trascorsi lì insieme alla mia famiglia sono stati come se eravamo a casa nostra. Silvio, è una persona speciale, che sa accogliere e soprattutto rispetta le esigenze del cliente, mettendosi sempre a disposizione x qualsiasi cosa. Abbiamo trovato: "Accoglienza, pulizia, una buona colazione e tanta disponibilità." Il b&b è situato nel cuore del centro di Sciacca e ti permette di spostarti tranquillamente x le vie della città 😀

Carmelo e Silvio sono due persone uniche, ti fanno sentire proprio come a casa.
Il b&b e’ curato anche nei minimi dettagli; camere pulitissime.
La grotta dove avviene la colazione e’ incantevole e piena di storia. Li’ si può assaporare prodotti del territorio veramente ottimi.
Da non tralasciare assolutamente il percorso olfattivo, dove Carmelo con la sua cultura per le piante, ti fa gustare e annusare circa 70 specie di aromatiche.
Insomma BRAVI BRAVI, spero di tornarci un giorno

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana e non potevamo scegliere meglio di cosi. Silvio e Carmelo ci hanno accolto fin da subito come se fossimo familiari, subito disponibilissimi e super gentili. Le camere erano perfette, pulite e sempre in ordine,l’esperienza nell’aromatario e nelle grotte molto interessante e particolare. Mettono moltissima passione in ciò che fanno, hanno migliorato ancora di piu quella che poteva essere una bella esperienza. Torneremo sicuramente perche i proprietari sono persone veramente speciali ❤

Posto Super a partire dai due fratelli Silvio e e Carmine che tifanno sentire subito come a casa,super gentili e disponibili, camere pulite e molto spaziose dotate di tutti i confort, posizione in centro storico a Sciacca, comoda per visitare il
Paese, struttura nuova e molto curata!!!

B&B accogliente e tranquillo.
Le camere sono pulite e disponibili di bagni, minibar, TV ed aria condizionata.
Il cibo è ottimo, fresco , degustabile in un ambiente fantastico.
Ammirevole la cordialità dei dipendenti e il loro modo di lavorare, sia serio quanto amichevole.

Posto unico! Da provare se vi trovate in zona.
Massima ospitalità e cortesia da parte dei proprietari. Il posto è incantevole, le camere ben curate e pulite. Posizione strategica, in pieno centro storico, con locali serali per cene e passeggiate. Molto interessante il percorso olfattivo che viene proposto, tra le molteplici varietà di piante presenti. Consigliato!

Außerordentlich herzliche und zuvorkommende Betreuung durch Silvio und Carmelo! Das B & B wurde erst vor wenigen Jahren generalsaniert und bietet allen erdenklichen Komfort, die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und obwohl zentral gelegen sehr ruhig. Der Frühstücksraum ist wunderschön und grottenähnlich angelegt; das Frühstück ausgezeichnet! Es stehen 2 Dachterrassen fürs Relaxen zur Verfügung. Silvio steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und ist auch behilflich bei der Parkplatzsuche.
Alles in allem eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, würden jederzeit wiederkommen!!!
