I had the pasta all Norma. Oh my. It was delicious. So good.

A little wait as is customary but well worth it. We ordered a wide variety of food and it was all great and a good value. I liked the grilled calamari. It was tender with good flavor.

Loved this place. We were all walked out and needed a bite and a drink so we found ourselves at Carpe Diem. Didn’t want anything massive, so we ordered a selection of antipasti and it was the best we’d had in Sicily! Homemade feel, but real good quality and presentation. We were so looked after by our superb waitress too. 5 stars!

Really cute place, delicious lasagne and cannelloni, each bite was simply heaven.

The place stands out compared to most other places we passed in Taormina, so can't recommend it enough for a more authentic experience.

We had the most amazing lunch here - was tempting to go sit in the main square but so glad we decided on this place instead! The atmosphere is perfect and our food was out of this world. It felt like we were in the owners home having a lovely meal. Highly recommend

Top class service with some genuine humor from Salvatore and his deputy. Interesting, no fuss people selling great beer. View at sunset is to die for, and a great place for people watching. Particularly great spot for any Irish or Italian New Yorkers as Salvatore holds a deep fondness for both. 5/5

Just had the best beer so far in Italy. Ice cold and on-tap only. Couldn't get the name of it, but it's his only local beer on draught.

Authentic and delicious! Good sicilian dishes. Nice and friendly atmosphere and service.

We stopped here on our last morning in Taormina. Wish we should have found it sooner. The best lasagne I've ever had!

The service and food had to be one of the best in Italy. I had calamari it was fresh and soft I would be returning. Thank you.

In a town that’s overrun with tourism this is the only authentic place I’ve found ,
Friendly owner ,great drinks and a local feel ,the pasta con sarde and the caponata are the best I’ve had on this trip ,
Absolutely spend some time here .

i am italian/american so i consider myself an authority on italian cuisine. the mushroom soup was mouthwatering and the homemade pasta was worth a second helping

Owner was helpful with explaining the menu. Fresh home made pasta with strong flavours. Only feedback, side bread could be fresher. Nice experience!

Delicious caponata, lanagne and cannelloni. Very polite and heartly owner told us a few facts about the ancient city of Taormina. We enjoyed the dinner very much!

Unsure where the bad reviews came from, had very delicious food accompanied by the chef explaining the lovely origin stories of the respective dishes! Would recommend!

This was a great little restaurant. Just out of the tourist traps, and the food was delicious. Pasta was fantastic...some of the best we have had in Italy.

I had a very good experience. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Food was good too. It is one of the few places open in the off hours.
