Ristorante il Vicoletto

We searched out this discrete little restaurant and are very glad we did. It's down a little lane and may look closed, but try the door. We had the Lamb with herbs on velvety potato and the Sea Bream on fava beans and salted ricotta with some excellent house wines. Both dishes were really tasty and better than they look in the photos. Go for the food, not the views.

It is a nice restaurant in the centre of Assisi. At Il Vicoletto, they serve delicious Italian food with a twist. It's not the standard dishes you get at many places, just a little extra.

Fantastic food, served hot with smile and respect. They even brought a free fresh lemon cake to us at the end. Highly recommended…

Hidden Down a tiny alley one finds this gem… Il Vicoletto. The ambiance was welcoming and friendly. The home made bread so attractive and super tasty. A meal in top 3, we’ve had on our 43 day journey. Tagliata di vitello on a bed of the sweetest figs, a delicate Gorgonzola sauce and topped with shaved truffles. All paired with wines recommended by the owner. We savoured ever morsel and didn’t want the meal to finish .. it deserves 10 stars.

A hidden gem with a very nice and rustic atmosphere. A great variety of dishes, which are all beautiful presented and taste delicious. A great place to go, if you love truffles. Recommend!

We have been in Italy for 3 months and have eaten in Florence, Rome, Venice, and Milan. This is the best meal we have had to date. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy and the staff is very friendly. The view from the terrace is spectacular!

Food was very good and the waiter was helpful. At first we ordered a dessert we didn't like and he replaced it for us immediately and recommended another which was great.

Excellent menu, good variety and extremely tasteful food. Cosy environment and really nice and friendly service. It's a bit hidden so look well, and it's totally worth it.

The tagliatelle were exceptional. The Tiramisu was excellent. Rustic ambiance and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very attentive.

Been there a few days ago.
They may not have a large variety of dishes but these are particular and really well prepared.
We were 8 and we all noticed a lot of care both in the preparation of the dishes and in the service.
Plus, the waitress was one of the kindest and most professional I have ever met. ❤

The food here is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Yes, it is expensive for what you usually see in Italy but it is totally worth the money. The baccala was perfectly prepared. Service is very attentive and kind.

Fantastic fine food restaurant in the heart of Assisi. Really well thought out cuisine with fantastic presentation. At affordable prices! Can’t recommend enough. And Google has the hours wrong. They open at 7pm for dinner, not 8pm.

Cosy little place tucked in in one of the side streets, with excellent service and food. Everything we tasted was cooked to perfection. Grilled octopus, and quail egg carbonara with truffles, outstanding. Veal tartare, THE freshest and with tastiest truffles, I probably would have seasoned the meat more, but still it is excellent. The only non 5star dish was the duck, which, although cooked to perfection, lacked real flavour, the green beans not the best accompaniment, some more of that beautiful raspberry like sauce they served with octopus would have made the duck dish perfect. But that is small grip, because the carbonara tagliorini was the best pasta dish I have had in years, and semifreddo not too sweet, service kind, warm and friendly and the place cosy. We were sharing the mains dishes and, without any prompting by us, they divided those dishes into two plates. Heartily recommend this gem of a place!
