M'Ama!

Great Place! Friendly, hospitable staff, great views, great food, smiles, jokes. It was a great place to end our Amalfi Coast vacation! The food was good, it was worth the hike up! Thank you for the love and hospitality!

I went for my girlfriend's 30th anniversary and we were totally in love with the restaurant. Perfect views, amazing food (we got the 2 menus to try multiple things) and the service was the best we found among all the restaurants on the Amalfi coast. Mattia made our night perfect, the sweetest person we've met on all our trip. He took care of us during the whole dinner with his sympathy and concern. We will definitely come back here when we travel again to the Amalfi coast!

Wow. Our first dinner in Praiano. Great service. GREAT food. Top notch, progressive, artful, delizioso!!! Our waiters were attentive. The menu offered a separate vegetarian menu. Fantastic. I had the classic Spaghetti e Pomodori piatto. They said it was the “king dish”. They were right. Simple and perfect— bursting with flavor. The chef sent us complimentary house made sweets - a gummy cube and sweet bread with cream. In addition to our ordered dessert which was heavenly with hazelnut gelato cookie crunch and chocolate. We will be back. I’m shocked at any review that isn’t great— I think those patrons were having a bad day. Everything was wonderful for us. PS- It is inside Hotel Margarita, and the front desk was very friendly and escorted us to the elevator. We liked how it was tucked higher up from the busy street and we took the stairs from our Airbnb for a more authentic experience.

This meal was absolutely incredible and definitely the best one we had during our trip in Praiano, if not the whole time in Italy.

One word - AMAZING!! I’m a foodie and have been to several Michelin ranked restaurants recently and this one (without the ranking) was just wonderful. Very quiet, phenomenal views of the Praiano bay and the Amalfi Coast, and the food was so delicious and surprising and executed perfectly. From the Saint Jacques scallops with orange foam, to crudo mix of sea food with orange gel and basil ice cream, to beautiful tropical dessert - everything was top notch, service was excellent and prices were really cheap. Highly recommended!!!

Firstly, they provided a complementary ride from our hotel slightly further up to the restaurant and back. Getting there, the view is fantastic. An authentic Italian restaurant with great service and staff. Presentation and taste of the food is simply divine. Food was very reasonably priced. Amazing experience.

The restaurant is located perfectly, not directly at the street and from any position on the terrace you have a marvelous view. The view itself is already worth it to visit this restaurant.
It's getting even better as it offers excellent food (the risotto is somenthing to die for) and wine which is from local vineyards.
Last but not least a service that is very attentive, charming and professional.

We ate there twice and got lucky as they changed their menu on the second visit. They actually have a vegetarian section in their menu which is somewhat rare. Well prepared and presented meals. Staff were courteous and attentive. Definitely make a reservation if dining after 5:30pm.

We had a great time at Restaurant M'ama in Praiano! The waiters were fantastic, the food was exceptional and the dessert was one of the best we've *ever* had. Definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I ate here two nights in a row as part of our stay in the hotel Margherita. Just wow. The staff are absolutely exceptional, so attentive, and hard working. We tried the cod and the risotto as starters on the first night, and the ravioli and nunderi on the second - everything was exquisite. We tried the lamb, beef and pork as main dishes. The beef in particular was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Cooked to absolute perfection. The views from the restaurant are wonderful. You are greeted with a welcome glass of prosecco, a small taster of a regional speciality like fried rice or pasta and delicious, fresh bread to accompany your meal. If you are in or around Praiano you should 100% try this restaurant.

Amazing restaurant! The service was outstanding, the food was absolutely divine - beautiful flavour combinations and presentation - and gorgeous views of the coastline. They’re in the Michelin Guide though we’d categorise them in the same league as other starred restaurants we’ve been to. We only spent 3 nights in Praiano, but came to M’ama twice - highly highly recommend!

The best dining experience we’ve had in Italy. The food was delicious and well worth it for the price, the views were amazing, it wasn’t too bustling with tourists, and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Praiano, Positano, or Amalfi. Definitely worth the trip!

Had delicious breakfast with most lovely views. Arrived after buffet had finished but staff put together an omelette and huge plate of food to fuel us for hike. Great hospitality!

The location was breathtaking the food was top notch.

First of all the staff running this hotel are always so kind & helpful - truly lovely people. We rent a house up the street and they are always very sweet. I feel badly, as neither my husband or myself were very hungry this evening, but the covered rooftop setting is so beautiful (I can never get enough of that view!), the service excellent, and every tiny detail so well executed. Lovely white tablecloths with gorgeous hand-blown water glasses, fabulous crystal wine glasses, beautiful salt & pepper grinders, excellent olive oil, breads include fennel seed taralli, grissini, and 2 kinds of rolls - all delicious! The wine list is excellent - heavy on the sometimes hard to find Marisa Cuomo's award-winning wines from tiny Furore next town over and the depth of their selection is truly impressive. Service really couldn't be better or friendlier, pretty and clean bathrooms, a glass-doored wine room that I'd love to spend some time in,... just every little thing done so well and I want to applaud them. Again we weren't all that hungry - I had the melanzane flan, which had a surprisingly chunky texture vs. flan-like, but it was tasty, then an amazing plate of probably the best carpaccio di manzo I've ever had - just melted on my tongue, with a beautiful surprise of burrata & strattiacella on top of thinly sliced zucchini. Definitely a twist on the usual rucola, but very good! My husband had the zuppa di Pesce - chock full of all kinds of seafood - he just wished there was more of the broth! In spite of us only ordering those 3 things + wine, they were so gracious and the excellent service was much appreciated! We'll be back soon... hopefully with better appetites! Oh, and prices are excellent, compared to other local upscale restaurants.
