WEDDING LOCATION REVIEW
We celebrated our wedding weekend at the Monastero of San Biagio the 23-25 of September ‘22.

We can only super highly recommend this place. Throughout our preparation & on the days, we relied heavily on the expertise and network of Lucia Bernini, who proved an unmissable asset to realise a really special and unforgettable event. She’s flexible, optimistic yet realistic, well connected and has years of experience under her belt as a wedding- and event planner. She takes stress away throughout and with her team rendered the logistics of our wedding truly smooth. She’s also quite simply a lot of fun.

Then the location. Many of our guests have said it feels and looks like a true Italian fairytale. It is. First it’s a really beautiful location on a hilltop with amazing views and various areas for your party to take place. It particularly has a lot of options outside but also a beautiful inside space that still offers the view. The entire location is clearly been renovated con gusto - with attention to detail and with beautiful finishes. This also includes the incl the beautiful hotel rooms & spa. Worth noting: the location is very neutral in its colour palette (light colours with warm tones of wood and brick) meaning it easily is customised to anyone’s taste. But secondly and importantly for us - we were looking for a location that didn’t feel commercial and instead personal an warm. San Biagio delivered: the location was dedicated to us the full weekend - included 46 beds - so no feeling of being rushed out of there for the next wedding. Detail to know: being so apt to personalisation does also mean you need calculate having to add things depending om your wishes. Eg if you want decorative lights they’re not available at the location but need to be supplied. Third the food - we can only say - this is one of the main reasons why we chose the location. Chef Mario and team really, really serve delicious, special yet accessible food with ingredients coming from km0 (a lot from their own garden). The quality is as good when you dine there in two as when they serve big numbers (we were with 110 people). Fun detail also they have their own artesenal beerbrewery on the premises - we served these both days and got so much positive feedback on them. Also nice: Mario cooks with it as well. And last - the people. Both Lucia, Mario and team but also Serena have really been so open, flexible and willing I think along and execute our wishes and requests. They are kind, attentive and professional. By now they also feel almost like family having been there often - and we will continue to come back as hotel, restaurant and spa guests in the future. Not really
Wedding related but worth noting - the spa is AMAZING and well worth the value.

In short: super recommended as wedding venue, hotel, restaurant and spa.

Fantastic getaway in the most relaxing and restorative location imaginable. The food and wine provided is incredible and the owner goes above and beyond to take care of the guests! Highly recommended for a serene getaway. Car needed in order to access nearby towns, walking locations etc.

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing service, and very helpful staff. If you are looking for a quiet place with beautiful scenery, that still feels like a comfortable, well serviced stay, then this is the place for you.

I was there on a business retreat and training for 5 nights. Perfect place for that if you are a relatively small to medium group. We were around 20 people and used 2 rooms for trainings that were both great and had internet, one with a big TV as well.

The Spa facilities are great and clean, but I can't give a detailed review of those as I personally didn't use them, but my colleagues found them to be great.

There is a Micro brewery that is on site so you can possibly check that out, and have some Beer.

The food is all cooked in-house at the full industrial kitchen and is fantastic. Wine and Beer are readily available, but I can't say if a full stocked bar is available as we didn't really require it.

Things to take into consideration:

There are stairs through out and possible short walks up a slight hill to the main building if you booked an apartment or a room off the main house.

Some rooms seemed to have spotty internet but the common areas are well covered and readily available for use at any time.

You can always check out the beautiful and historic town of Assisi about a 30 minute drive away on winding country roads.

The staff really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable, I really can't say enough.

Immersed in paradise is this jewel of relais. The restaurant is 5 stars.
Simple menu with top quality ingredients make any choice the right one. Amazing home made chianina hamburger, just to mention one, and their own Monasta beer.

Very good food. Dreamlike setting. Pool and spa outstanding.

Bijzondere plek. We bezochten er de spa en drinken na afloop nog wat in de eetzaal. Vooral het bier viel in goede aarde. Mooie locatie bovenop de heuvel, zeer geschikt voor bijvoorbeeld een bruiloft of familiefeest.

Oltre le aspettative, ci siamo sposati a luglio ed è stato tutto perfetto. Dal primo incontro alla definizione di tutti i dettagli abbiamo percepito professionalità ed esperienza. Ci siamo affidati ai consigli di Lucia, disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta. Servizio impeccabile, cucina ottima, location stupenda.
È stata una giornata fantastica.

Siamo stati con una coppia di amici per staccare dallo stress cittadino... Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti alla reception dalla direttrice e la consulente degli eventi che ci hanno accompagnato nelle stanze (situate nella stesso edificio, ce ne sono delle altre in casaletti non poco distanti). Le stanze in stile monastico, essenziali ma confortevoli, pulite e calde. La prima cosa che ha notato mio marito è stata l'assenza della TV... premettendo che ci si addormenta ha avuto un colpo al cuore... ma il percorso etrusco e l'ottima cena hanno conciliato il suo sonno senza alcun problema. Abbiamo fatto anche il massaggio di coppia con le candele, le ragazze della spa bravissime e gentilissime. Visto il periodo, entrambi i trattamenti si sono svolti in orari stabiliti in modo tale da avere le strutture in esclusiva. Bella scoperta davvero!

Prenotato una camera al monastero per un tranquillo weekend in occasione del ponte dei santi. Struttura eccellente, immersa nella natura e tranquillità della campagna umbra, personale e servizio cordiale e assolutamente disponibile. Usufruito anche della spa, consigliatissimo! In generale siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti, unica nota migliorabile la colazione che era un pochino al di sotto delle aspettative. Ci torneremo sicuramente, grazie mille!

Altamente consigliato per :

- luogo, presentazione e pulizia degli ambienti esterni ed interni alla struttura
- servizi al cliente e ospitalità
- qualità delle materie prime utilizzate nella preparazione
- entusiasmo dello staff nello svolgere il proprio lavoro, si vede la dedizione e la voglia di fare (non è scontato oggigiorno)

Qualcosina da migliorare ma il livello base è altissimo pertanto non possiamo che esprimere una recensione altamente positiva.

Ho soggiornato un week end presso questa struttura. Pace e tranquillità sono di casa. Alcuni ambienti molto suggestivi.

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum Entspannen. Das ehemalige Kloster liegt mitten in der Natur auf einem Berg. Es ist sehr ruhig und man hat eine tolle Aussicht auf das Tal - auch vom Pool aus.

Die Unterkunft ist sowohl innen als auch außen sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind eher spartanisch eingerichtet, aber das Bad ist sehr schön und modern.

Da es in der Nähe keine anderen Restaurants gibt, empfiehlt es sich, abends im Speisesaal des Hotels zu bleiben - und man wird nicht enttäuscht. Es gibt jeden Abend ein neues Menü zum Auswählen und alles, was wir probiert haben, war sehr lecker und fein.

Ein ganz besonders großes Lob geht an das Personal, das sich immer sehr freundlich und aufmerksam um uns gekümmert hat. ❤

Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di visitare la struttura ed il birrificio ed ascoltato un'interessante spiegazione da parte della brava e simpatica Lucia.
Il luogo è immerso nella natura e gli ambienti sono molto curati, l'ideale per rigenerarsi.
Abbiamo in seguito acquistato le birre (buonissime!) e cenato presso l'annesso ristorante. Consigliatissimo!
