Farmhouse La Fonte Di Mariella

This is a very cute little place to go, should one look for something cute, chill and quite.
The drive up there can be a challenge from time to time as it can get very narrow with houses, bushes and walls being ever present but once the final destination is reached a beautiful (huge) property on the side of hill awaits you. The owners are very gentle people who speak English very well. Even a small breakfast is served in the morning!
We only spent a night here unfortunately but I can imagine that especially this (rather less touristic) side of Lake Como has much more to offer to explore. Definitely a huge recommendation!

The road is a bit challenging, but it's totally worth it. You'll truly be surrounded by nature and quietness. Reasonable price, delicious local foods, super friendly staffs that can explain the menu to you in at least three different languages (English, Italian, French). Booking here was the best decision of our trip.

This farmhouse is a wonderful place to be, the hosts are such a friendly and attentiveness couple. They speak good English, so if you have any problems with communication they'll help you.
The dinner and breakfast we had there was amazing, everything was freshly made - give the self made cake at the breakfast table a try, it is lovely!

We loved our stay at this hotel. It was truly amazing. Upon arrival an Italian man greeted us overly friendly and showed us the beauties of the hotel. Additionally, the view that this hotel has to offer is truly mind blowing.

We are looking forward to returning in the next year.

My partner and I decided to spend New Year 2019 in the Italian Alps. Our first choice accommodation was cancelled on New Years Eve due to wild fires engulfing the area. We then had to make a hasty accommodation choice and settled on Ia Fonte di Mariella. We could not have made a better decision. The hosts were friendly and helpful , food outstanding and accommodation comfortable. The scenery surrounding the farmhouse was magnificent. We took several long walks into the mountains and also along Lake Como. We cannot recommend highly enough.

All my appreciations for the owner and for the chef/cuoco of this farmhouse. Delicious food, great wine, nice atmosphere.

Definition of italian hospitality! 100% recommend! For sure I will come once again!

Really, really, really good. I really enjoyed my stay. You can take really good walks, the food is superb, great views, nice beds and they help you with whatever. I will be back at this place for sure!!!

Super hôtel! Situé relativement proche du lac, mais tout en étant isolé et tranquille, la route est raide mais ça en vaut le détour! Le personnel est super accueillant, super sympa. Les chambres sont bien et la maison à beaucoup de cachet. Et un point primordial, la nourriture est excellente et très variée! Les menus sont extrêmement bien (même trop) fourni au niveau de la quantité (je suis un bon mangeur). C'est un vrai régal, nous y avons passé un excellent séjour et je recommande cet établissement à 200%. Mangez de vrai bon produits italiens dont une bonne partie provient de la ferme même, c'est le luxe. Merci encore!

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Aber herzlicher Service und grandioses Essen! Die Aussicht und die Zimmer können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir erst spät abends dort waren & nicht über Nacht geblieben sind. Die Anfahrt ist eine kleine Herausforderung, wenn man ein niedriges Auto ohne Allrad fährt. Geschafft haben wir’s trotzdem aber besser ist es sicher ohne Auto oder mit einem geländetauglichen Fahrzeug anzureisen. Wir kommen sicher wieder, vielen Dank!

Un lieu magnifique !!!
Une excellente cuisine , on y a pris tous les matins un petit déjeuner délicieux,très copieux et fait maison avec des produits cultivés par leur soin ainsi que les dîners( la carte change tous les jours ,les plats cuisinés sont excellents ainsi que leurs desserts).
L'accueil est très chaleureux , tout est fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable !

Wir haben eine 3 Tage Tour durch die Berge gemacht und haben in dem Agroturismo übernachtet. Die Zimmer sind in einem separaten Gästehaus untergebracht, waren aber schön eingerichtet. Vor dem ausgezeichneten Abendessen gab es einen Plausch mit dem Koch. Frühstück war echt super.
