We reserved and paid with American Express points a regular room. Then when we showed up at the hotel we upgraded to a jr. Suite with a fantastic view one of the photos shown here. A fantastic pool with an incredible view. The restaurant also had an amazing view and great food and service. We then discovered that a spa was included. There is a view from the hot tub included here. The spa also had dry and wet sauna and other services.

My husband and I traveled to Sicily with a son and another son and his wife. We had adjoining rooms and met on the wonderful balcony overlooking the Ionian Sea and pool and enjoyed coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The Grand Hotel San Pietro was incredible.

The service from the gentleman at the entrance the servers, and cleaning crew were all spectacular and provided top notch service as if we were all a family!

Some of the wonderful people we encountered were Christian, Stefania, Giovanni, Angela and Virginia to name a few.

Recently remodeled and modernized. Beautiful views, great shuttle service in to town and down to the beach, excellent service. Marco and Christian went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely experience. Would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in a stunning location. My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. It was exactly what we hoped for and envisioned. I really think the photos cannot do this place justice. The view is unmatched and probably one of the best you will find at a hotel in Taormina. The food for breakfast and at the restaurant overlooking the sea is also exquisite. The location is perfect - set into a quiet hillside not too far from city center, but away from major roads and public buildings so it is very quiet with no road noise. The hotel has a shuttle that can take you to city center and pick you up every hour if you reserve in advance. Rooms are comfortable, quiet and air conditioned. Beds were a medium firmness but comfy and cozy. Lastly, the staff is wonderful, so kind, and truly took our experience to another level. We can’t wait to come back someday!!

I had a fabulous time at the San Pietro! Paolo was fantastic at helping with so many tours and drivers! He always was accommodating to changes, too! Francesca, Micaela and whole staff were wonderful and make you feel so at home.

The hotel was a home away from home…..So clean and with delightful rooms. Food was excellent and the grounds and views were beautiful. I will definitively stay here again!

We had a room facing the water, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise and ships float by. The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke english well. The hotel offers shuttle service to the main part of town, departed and returned on the hour, and were very prompt. Make sure you plan ahead and make a reservation! The breakfast was fantastic with a good selection to choose from. W would definitely stay here again!

Stunning location, the restaurant has a terrace that directly overlooks the sea with a breathtaking view. Tables were interspersed with ancient trees. Raffaele and the very knowledgeable and friendly staff welcomed us with a smile making us feel at home. A pleasant background piano music accompanied the dinner creating an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Top 10 service, elegant and sophisticated table decor. I highly recommend it.

Our last stop in Sicily was the Grand Hotel San Pietro. We were welcomed by the most hospitable staff and an extremely beautiful lobby and first floor. The general manager checked in with us individually to make sure we were enjoying our stay and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The renovated rooms are BEAUTIFUL! The views are "once in a lifetime" and the rooms with a balcony are truly special. The hotel is a quick walk into town, and a quick shuttle or 20+ minute stairway walk to the beach. The fitness gym/sauna/spa was a favorite for our teenagers. The outdoor breakfast feels like a scene out of a movie. This hotel experience is truly special!!

Amazing location, service and ambience. One of our favorite hotels of all time! The manager Piero was so hospitable, and the concierge Margherita was incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations, things to do and see, and other tips on how to maximize our stay. Hard to beat the view by the pool and the beautiful garden around it. And you really feel like you’re in Taormina - not a big box experience and luxurious. Amazing place, and we’ll be back!

I made my marriage proposal in this incredible hotel, I highly recommend it. for months before, they helped me make this day unforgettable. I will never forget the professionalism of each member of the hotel and their immense sympathy towards us. It was heaven on earth for a day. We will come back to stay in this magical place. Hotel was fabulous!
We were greeted with strawberries and champagne as we were on our honeymoon.

Breakfast was the best breakfast we’d been.. so much variety & could make yourselves Bellinis, had the best selection of pastries, cold meats and even had smoked swordfish as part of the buffet.

The pool was lush, mostly always in the sun until 6ish-pm, never too busy and you could order snacks and drinks from the pool bar.
People who were staying here were all British/American and very friendly.

Behind the pool, there are these hidden steps where there’s a beautiful view and it looks like you can have a private romantic meal here.

Had a massage here which was AMAZING. If I didn’t have the treatment on the last day, I would have gone back for another.

Decent location with great views & only 10 mins walk to the start of the town. The staff were all attentive and a pleasure.

Only downfall was the the WiFi wasn’t the best in our room and the shower wasn’t very strong but all manageable.

Would recommend as a plush place to stay.

The Grand Hotel San Pietro di Taormina is a five star luxury experience. The hotel was our residence for six days; and my wife, Nancy, and I received a wonderful reception from Francesca and Michela! They were definitely the beautiful face of the hotel; and they made us feel at home throughout our stay. As porter and driver, Luca was professional, courteous, and always available. The room was a junior suite on the first floor with luxury amenities - a very comfortable bed, large bathroom, generous closets, a refrigerator, security safe, with access to the pool, spa, and exercise room located right at the edge of the property overlooking the Mediterranean. The capable and polite staff kept the room clean with two visits per day. The groundskeepers maintained a garden paradise filled with fragrance. Every morning started with an endless buffet and coffee hosted by the friendly Stephania, and Nino. In the evening the restaurant was superbly managed by Geno who treated us as family! We were also embraced at dinner by Jorni, Gabriela, and Alexandra. Chef Luca provided a stunning and memorable “Taste of Sicily” for our last meal. (Please consider adding a flight of Mt. Etna wines to enhance this experience). At the bar, Nino was a friendly mixologist of note with enjoyable cocktails. Everyone made our evenings a place of relaxation after long days of “tourism”. Our spectacular experience at the Grand Hotel San Pietro di Taormina was well worth the price, and we look forward to our next visit.

Great view and frindly staff!
We stayed two nights and really enjoyed its scenery, food, and service.
Room was pretty and clean, shower worked perfectly (despite some reviwers point out the flaw). Hotel facility and interiors were appropriately maintenanced.
The hotel is located in about 15 min walk from the city center, and the shuttle departs frequently.
Restaurant was also great, where we enjoyed the ocean view and sicilian food/wine at the same time.
On top of that, all staff (including reception, restaurant, cleaning, driver) are quite polite and kind.

Excellent hotel in all aspects. The room was excellent and clean, spacious bathroom, amazing views, accomodating hotel staff and great breakfast on an amazing patio overlooking the water. If I were to return to Taormina I would stay here again.

A real 5 star hotel. Magnificent views from the sea facing rooms and the sun terrace. A free shuttle takes you up to Taormina old town. The same shuttle can take you back as well but you can just walk back downhill -- it is slightly over 1 km from the central square. Mind that there is no beach nearby and using the ones the hotel takes you to is expensive.

A very great stay as our first time in Sicily, service and staff are very friendly and helpful, a particular thanks to Stefania that made our breakfast and lunch even more special!
