It was a pleasure to eat here! We chose the chef's 8 course tasting menu, and it was amazing! Everything from food to service was done according to the rules of fine dining. We would definitely recommend!

Superb food, wine and service. Went for the tasting menu with matching wines. Lovely location by the sea and great ambience. Restaurant manager and somelier were excellent. Front desk was a little judgy re attire but we got passed that. Strong recommendation for this and sister restaurant, the kiste in Taormini centre.

Elevated cooking, lovely hospitality and a gorgeous sea view.

We came into La Capinera for dinner having already eaten a lot of food over lunch so unfortunately we didn’t have a huge appetite. What that meant however was that we had to choose our dishes carefully and the food definitely did not disappoint!

We had a rigatoni with a scampi sauce and a ravioli with veal (one of the few red meat dishes we had in Sicily). Pasta on both were cooked perfectly Al Dente and were very well balanced. The ravioli had a cheese and potato filling which made for a decadent base to feature the tender veal and moorish sauce.

The waiters and sommelier were very helpful and attentive. That evening had all sorts of diners, from large groups through to couples and a solo diner, but the staff attended to everyone efficiently.

The view of the sea is definitely a highlight and the cool breeze sets the mood for an enjoyable meal.

This meal was an almost spiritual experience! Thank you to La Capinera staff and of course the chef who provided so much beauty and enjoyment for the evening through their food and attention. We were five people who all got the set menu “sea and air” for 100 euro each. It was well worth it, we were all very satisfied with this absolute pleasure of flavour and service. Also, thank you for the details we didn’t ask for, like bringing a candle on dessert and singing happy birthday to my friend! My wife Daniela and I had a magnificent dinner at La Capinera Restaurant in Taormina, Sicily on 24.08.2023. We chose the MARE E ARIA degustation menu and were amazed by the quality of the food, the wine served, the presentations, the serving.

We had an excellent meal at the restaurant. Service was 1st class and the food was delicious. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were really accomodating even preparing vegetarian dishes for my wife.

This place is a gem. Not to be missed.

We booked late and were lucky to get a table and not disappointed.

They had options for 6 course or 9, we went with the 6 course as it was fish. The set menu was €100 each and considering it’s a Michelin starred restaurant and this is Sicily it was very reasonable.

Really good quality restaurant in Taormina. This restaurant has one michelin star. We opted for the 6 courses menu, and one of them was perfectly adaptes for a gluten free person. All the dishes were delicous. The portions look to me a little short and related to the price was a litlle expensive. Even this, the visit it’s totally recommended!!

Fantastic place with the best view of the sea. Very friendly and professional staff. Delicious food, perfectly cooked by Chef Pietro D "Agostino. It was a wonderful culinary feast, a delightful experience. The best seafood and fish and great selection of wonderful wines.
Capinera is worth any amount you leave there.

This is a place for everyone who loves to eat fish and seafood. Superb cuisine, excellent wine selection, very attentive and friendly staff and a beautiful seaview from the spacious terrace. Every dish was a true pleasure.

I was looking for a good restaurant in Taormina, desperately trying to avoid a "touristy trap", ended up at Capinera and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the food is locally sourced, staff is well trained and the Michelin star is well deserved (actually on par with some two stars I experienced). Pro tip: the chef puts his unique signature on each dish, therefore I recommend the degustation Menu to try to them all.

Absolutely amazing place. Excellent dishes. Descent wines. Beautiful view to the see. Top service. We tried degustation menu. It was a great choice of 6 fish dishes and a beautiful match of white wines. And it was pleasant to see the Chef himself. Thank you La Capinera team!

Food is excellent! Not to mention the million dollar view! The design of chef is awesome, and the staff are extremely professional and proud of what they’re doing and so friendly! Easy to park and on the way to highway ;)

We experienced an incredible New Year’s dinner and Chef Pietro D'Agostino and his team were outstanding. The food was fantastic and the wine amazing. We rang in 2018 on the outside deck with a private fireworks display for those at dinner. If you are looking for a great dining experience from a fantastic Michelin Chef, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to return!

This was the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. I have been meaning to write this review for 2 years. It just came up in conversation and i decided that I must tell you how good it was. I still think about it. The flavors were bold with great attention to detail. Do yourself a favor and go here if you’re in Taormina.
