If you are ever in Rome please stop by here. When you do make sure you take the time to meet Maurilio. By far the sweetest man you’ll ever meet. His food is wonderful and his company is even better. He is what Italy is all about, he makes you feel like family. Make sure you ask him for his recommendation for your meal and you will never be disappointed. We will miss seeing Maurilio but he is on our list for next time we return to Rome.

This was right below our hotel (Hotel Lirico) by the Teatro Dell'Opera which we visited everyday in the mornings before setting off. I paid €3 for an Americano, Cappuccino and a Cornetto/croissant! Whether it was an error or not, it was a cheap place to get a morning coffee and sit down before hitting the rest of the city. Not touristy at all and the younger Roma fan who serves was very friendly. Tasty and expertly made coffee, great pastries and they have an extensive breakfast menu.
They also do gelato and beers and cocktails but we were not in the area for later in the nights so never got to try them.
Also there's a photo of Francesco Totti in there with the owner, what's not to love?!

Definitely visit if you want something that the locals want.

Nice cafe where you can get refreshing drinks and ice cream. Staff is friendly and the prices are OK. Close to the main street and train station. Lacks airconditioning.

Great place! We entered intuitively and were not disappointed. Delicious pizza and lasagna. There are few visitors, it's cozy like at home. This bar is the reason why I will definitely return to Rome.

I am so glad we found this place!!!! If you want excellent food, to be treated like family, a clean wonderful spot to enjoy ANY meal of the day - go here!!!! John, his wife and son will treat you like you are the most important guest they have. And smiles that win your heart. We loved this spot. I had the ravioli, my husband had the cannelloni - both excellent. We had John pick the wine and he did an excellent job. We will definitely return when we come back to Rome.

Maurilio treated me and my partner with so much respect and has an immense amount of enthusiasm for his job. If you’re passing through Rome, I’d highly recommend you check this place out. It is a breath of fresh air to feel like someone cares about your experience and doesn’t just want your money.

If you're ever in Rome, I genuinely recommend visiting this cafe! Tasty Italian food, good coffee, the best Aperol Spritz I've ever tried and super friendly staff. No doubt, my warmest memories from Italy are related to this place!

I’m not sure what others are referring to. The food was delicious and the gentleman working there was so incredibly kind!! I actually questioned if he charged me the full amount because the total seemed too low. He even offered to warm up the to-go pizza we got so it wouldn’t be cold. I definitely recommend.

Great find, food delicious and very reasonably priced in a good location. Family run business with friendly hosts who couldn't do more to ensure you had everything you needed. Visited 3 nights in a row and if we are back in Rome we will be sure to visit again. Thanks again to all the staff!

What an amazing place. Visited last night after a very poor meal at a local restaurant. The wonderful owners invited us back this evening and provided the most wonderful meal. Everything was perfect.p
