Highly recommend experience, it’s a great occasion to escape the heat.
We got to 2800m with a 4x4 truck, unfortunately the volcanic activity made it impossible to go to the summit at 3300m. Instead we did a nice hike throughout the old craters from previous eruption and the lava formation.
A perfect occasion to walk on the Etna and discover trails out of the main roads.
The hike is mostly downhill and accessible.

The organisation can lend you hiking shoes, bag pack and a jacket, included in the price.
The price was worth it. And the guide was very friendly.

It was a great experience on Tuesday! Although it was windy and rainy, we managed to get to the 3300 meter peak. Poldo is a friendly and super experience guide. The view on the top is superb! Highly recommended!

How often do you get to look into an active volcano? This was a very special experience. The hike to the summit had astonishing views. The hike down was also thoroughly enjoyable, navigating through soft volcanic soil. At no point did we ever feel unsafe. These guides are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and concerned for your safety. Our English speaking guide, Vincenzo, had a great sense of humor and was full of stories from his childhood in Sicily. So much fun! This was so worth it and truly a highlight of our trip to Sicily.

We did the Etna crater tour with a group of 9 people. Our guide was a fantastic guy, he explained everything to know about Etna, both in English and in Italien. The whole hike was a completely unique experience, we got to see the main craters and the beautiful scenery around Etna. Our guide told us about how the volcano worked, what made Etna special, and on the way down we could even try out running down the steep hillside in deep sand, which was incredible! All in all it was a really nice day, I would recommend doing the guided tour to everyone!

We went to "crateri summitali" with our guide Nikos. A 4X4 bus took us as high as it was allowed by vehicles and we continued by foot (the bus also drove us down most of the way). Nikos was very knowledgeable and we had an unforgettable experience. Shoes and jackets were provided. Bring cap and gloves, it is cold and windy on the top.

Wife and I did the Etna Crater tour with Daniele as the host. We loved it! Daniele is a charismatic guide, explaining all relevant information in both Italian and English (and even some in French)! Hike itself is challenging, but our group all managed to complete at a similar speed with enough breaks for everyone to keep pace. If you don't know what it means to hike up 500m elevation gain, perhaps consider a different tour! We were lucky to be able to go right up to the crater rim on the day due to favorable conditions. Definitely recommend these guys, very professionally organised for a large number of people!!

Highly recommend booking a tour with these guys. We were a little hesitant doing a guided tour at first but it was by far one of our most enjoyable experiences in Sicily! Nikos and Daniele were excellent guides, friendly and very knowledgeable. Nikos set a good pace throughout the day and balanced climbing, talking and breaks very well.

Luca knows how to make the women happy! He was such a good guide and showed us a path apart from all the crowded ones. He also was taking care of us as we are just learning Italian and spoke in a slow way for us. It was a real pleasure and a memorable day. Thank you so much Luca ☺

Did a morning excursion (half day) with these guys on a sunny day in June. Great option if you prefer to see the less touristy and more authentic side of Etna with a certified guide for a very fair price. Service is good, friendly lady - fluent in Italian, Dutch, English & French - who explained everything in detail before going up. The excursion itself was in English, but depending on the participants they do offer other languages as well. Recommended :)

It is amazing to be able to walk so close to the Etna summit, to see the activity of the vulcano and still feel so safe and secure. The guide Daniele was engaging and shared a lot of interesting information. Much appreciated by the whole family!

A once in a lifetime experience with a 1st class setup and guide (Nikos).
They provided clear instructions and information ahead of the trip as well as boots, socks, poles and jacket.
It the tour was safe and exciting.
Once you are on the Volcano you won’t have experienced anything like it.
Seeing nature at work was amazing.

Really interesting and informative trek. We did the family friendly option across the rocks and up to the 2002 craters. The guide went at a good pace with plenty of stops to tell us what we could see and the history behind it. The descent is steep and down crumbly rocks so good balance is needed.

What a tour!!! Spent an amazing day at Mount Etna from the South side. We had a very experienced and knowledgeable guide, who ‘breaths’ the Etna. Not only did he explained all the ‘technical’ details about the Etna (stones, gasses, dates of eruption etc) But also gave us personal insights in the role the Etna plays in daily life and history of Sicily. Again, amazing tour with an amazing energetic and knowledable guide. Ask for Vincenzo!

Excellent guided hike, led by Daniele and Luca. They're both very knowledgeable and interesting, on both the ascent and descent. They also have warm coats, hiking shoes if you don't have suitable ones and poles. The crater trip took us until 2pm by walking back down from the top. The excellent guides kept a very calm pace to ensure we could enjoy the views and to make it comfortable for everyone going up. There are plenty of stopping points on the ascent also, which come with lots of information and stories from the knowledgeable guides. Highly recommend using these people for a trek to see the steaming craters

Lifetime experience! Professional guide, taking time for providing interesting information. Excellent support when we failed to find our individual meeting point with our bikes!

We spent 8.5 hours hiking up and down Etna with our amazing guide Poldo, who even towards the end remained enthusiastic. He is armed with knowledge on all things volcano, he made us feel incredibly safe and arranged a fun surprise for us at the summit.

I did the excursion to Etna Summit Nord Craters / with 4x4 Vehicles (one way) / descent by foot on October 25th - and what can I say - SIMPLY A MUST DO, especially with those guys! The Landscape and being around the craters is a one of a kind experience!
Everything was well organized, the brothers Daniele and Luca were well informed, made sure that everyone is fine, that the group stays together, and were entertaining as well. The hike itself is managable for an average fit person. The price is reasonable and worth paying. I recommend to follow the instructions regarding equipment etc. given in advance.

We had an amazing time on our tour. Giuseppe was a great tour guide who was enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable, and provided plenty of information on the geology and history of Etna.
