Be aware of whether, because even then at Sicily is +35, upstairs is less than +20 and really strong wind. Tour also was amazing, our guide made it at three languages at the same time :)

You can climb here alone from the bus stop. 6.6 euros return from Catania. Don't waste money on a guide.

Highest point we could visit with out Tourguide. Beautiful view, it was a clear day at first, so we could look very very far. Beautiful view at the Etna top at this point. Highly recommended experience to be up there.

If you are in Sicily, you HAVE TO go up there! We had to pay 65 Euro per person, but it's really amazing and worth every cent!
Included was the cable railway (great view), trip with trucks and a guide who you need to walk around up there!
You can walk up or take a bike, but it's dirty and dusty (hard to breathe), takes much time and you don't have as much opportunities as which a guide!
On top of the Etna it's really cold, so you really need a jacket!
And my advice is to make that trip in the morning (no later than 10 am!!!) because later there is much fog and you cannot see anything and hundreds of people standing in line for hours to go up!!

65 Euro per person is much money, but I would do it every time again

Dont hesitate going up to the top, it doesnt matter if its a bit cloudy - the experience is amazing and makes you feel to be on the moon.

The climb was worth every minute! Having lunch on 3000m above sea level was splendid!

Amazing place ! Be prepared to a lunar location ! Remember to dress your heavy clothes, it's cold and windy up there.

Bring a raincoat and umbrella. You may rent shoes if you don't want yours to get black lava in all the books and crannies for $4eu

The most surreal landscape. It's absolutely worth the efforts to go on the top. We had a knowledgeable and very keen guide who explained all about the volcano and its activity. I have to say the ticket is expensive, but for the experience you get it's worth every penny. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Interesting place, absolutely worth of your time, money and effort.

The view and the feeling to be there are hard to express with words. Amaizing would be too little to express it.
Even in the middle of the summer a jacket is handy. It is pretty windy up there. The local guides speek several languages each, so they can even help a group of diverse people. This is quite adorable too. Don't forget to take good shoes for hiking. It can be quite slipery in some places, even without a single raindrop.

Amazing experience well organised and I advise to book online with what ever company offer a package to get to the top by using the cable car plus the 4*4 trucks!!! And than a guided tour with an expert. For the 2 of us it was 128€ with " sicilyng " and we booked a slot for 1200am as the road to get up there is narrow and can get busy so take tour time but we got there early @11.00 and because of the tikekets with priority we just jumped the tiket Q got our passes for lift and 4*4 and we where up there in 28min..loved it, saw the recent lava left overs, we felt how hot the earth on the Vulcano is just 10cm under the service The views the sensations, amazing!! it was my first time on a Vulcano and my wife first nearly 3000mt above sea level walk. I will do a video editing of our trip and will be posted on my YouTube Chanel for everyone to learn from our trip. All this is a must do In any Sicily tour.

Quick walk, around 30min to reach this beautiful view. Worth it

Superb experience here. A mandatory place to visit even if the climb up the volcano is tiring. Our family will fondly remember this visit forever.

You simply can't visit Sicily without hiking Etna volcano! It's gonna be a dusty experience though.

One of the highest points you can go without a guided tour. You can get there by 4x4 bus or on foot.
