La Pesceria

Everything was soooo perfect!
We ordered croquettes and oysters for appetizers. The croquet was really delicious, and the texture is just right. The oysters are in a really good quality with only 3€ per oyster. I ordered a seabass as the catch of the day. It cooked with salt and baked. I don't want the hassle of cleaning the salt and the bones, so I ask the cook to do that, and that was perfect! I could eat hassle free.
You can have a great value of money in this restaurant cause the service is also excellent!!

The minus part was just because the main room was hot, we were asking for a table outdoors. On the table outdoors, a weird guy came to our table to ask for cigarettes, and there are some street vendors who also came to us. It was a slight inconvenience to the perfection.

A little bit of a walk from the old town, but we'll worth it. All fish obviously, as the name suggests and all of it was delicious. Staff lovely and charming definitely recommend.

The food was amazing! Try the stuffed squid "alla pesceria". It was the best squid I've ever had. Service was very efficient and the waiters we got were all English speakers. I asked the sommelier for a local wine recommendation and he brought the Traimari from Palermo city Super good and even cheaper than the one I had chosen before.
Covid-19: too crowded inside so we sat outside. All waiters were wearing masks.

Atmosphere excellent. Food wonderful especially starter dish of a pie with swordfish, aubergine and pistachio. Divine. Staff thought I was Roy Hodgson so we all had a laugh. Thanks.

This is the 2nd time we have visited La Pesceria. On both occasions the meal has been fantastic. The waiters are polite and attentive. The owner can be found in the restaurant and you can tell he really cares that all his guests enjoy a fabulous meal. We will be sure to visit whenever we are in Palermo.

Ok, now I know I can't cook good pasta, contrary to what I've always believed 😄 I will get better, promise! Food is amazing here.

Perfect place for seafood lovers. And nice affordable wines. Delicious almond parfait for desert.

Everything was great from start to finish, great music (kind of rare), the consideration about where we might like to sit, to the incredible recommendation on wine (we bought a bottle to go as well), down to our waiter talking us through the menu. Huge thanks to dinni!!(?). He was spectacular, always checking in and again the recommendations (and also the food!!) we’re incredible.

An extraordinarily creative and varied menu imaginatively prepared and not all about pasta so a nice break. We shall return! Beautiful swordfish à la plancha, grilled eggplant and zucchini.

Best fish of Palermo! Do visit. You can sit for drinks next door and order fish from here. Great local experience and few tourists.
