Baglio Donna Franca

During a trip, I arrived here. The surroundings are very beautiful, and it's impressive that everything is made here on-site. After a short tour and a presentation of winemaking, we had lunch. The atmosphere was great.

Very good products, especially the sweet wine and the orange marmalade. All organic. Came here with a tour so not sure what the price quality was of the wine tasting.

An amazing and beautiful place. The staff and the owner are very caring and friendly. The food was great and the rooms are absolutely nice.

We loved the stone walls as it gave a truly Sicilian charm. We were there in April so unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the beautiful pool. A suggestion will be to add a couple of carpets beside the bed since the floor was chilly. The waiter (unfortunately we did not catch his name) was very helpful and polite, always with a smile! The ladies at the front desk, however we’re not as friendly. The food and wine were very good. We would definitely recommend this place for its charm!

During the exchange for the reservation, the crew were very responsive over email and also over the phone and very flexible. The food at the restaurant was very nice and there were lots of space, not so crowded although in conséquence few dishes were not available which is understandable. We had private winery tour because the English tour group became too big with another group for wine tasting. We were a family of 6. We don’t really enjoy wine but we enjoy fully our stay. Also we did not forget shopping few wine bottles for gifts and several local jams.

I also give 5 stars for its location. You can make a day trip if you plan the itinerary with ‘ Saline of the Laguna Marsala’, ‘Erice’, Cala Rossa, San Vito LoCapo which are nearby, you can bundle together with Baglio Donna Franca restaurant and wine tour (or wine tasting) with part of the nearby location according to your availability and taste.

An Absolute Gem
This working vineyard hotel is set in the middle of nowhere surrounded by miles of fields and vines and with a view of the sea and islands in the distance. It’s perfect if you want some where tranquil and quiet with beautiful views (and good wine!) The service couldn’t have been friendlier throughout our stay. There are just 15 rooms so it never feels busy. The food is excellent with a delicious breakfast buffet and lovely meals in the evening. The dinners aren’t cheap considering the portion size and the menu doesn’t change but it’s great quality and lovely tasting. The vineyard tour is free but it’s well worth paying for the wine tasting with local snacks. The pool has a wonderful setting so keep time free to spend it there relaxing. Trapani is just 30 minutes drive away and Marsala is 25minutes drive so it’s a good location to visit both of them. There was a slight issue with the smell of the drain and overnight condensation making the bathroom very wet, despite leaving the window open until it got dark, but it’s a minor gripe within four days of bliss. We took a tour of the vineyard which included lunch and wine tasting. really great wine and tasty food. Their seasonal wines are stellar and well crafted

We turned up for a wine tasting with no reservation but thankfully the staff at Donna Franca were very accommodating and conducted a tasting ad hoc.

Each of the wines we tasted were superb, particularly the Ansaldi Bianco Di Abbadessa. We were given very usable shipping information and will be ordering more shortly.

In addition to the wine, the grounds looked absolutely beautiful and their almonds were very tasty too.

It was a great pelasure to visit the winery. Really interesting, so testy local tapas and great winę at the sunset. It couldn't be better. Hope I will a chce to be there in the future again.

Great view from around the swimming pool. Quiet. Good restaurant. Fine breakfast. And of course good wine. Minor minus points: our room on the ground floor was a bit sober, slow wifi. But overall strongly recommended, had a great time.

A beautiful stay in the Deep sicilian landscape! The baglio is wonderfull, well located with a romantic sight in Marsala, Erice and the Eolie Islands! I totally suggest at least a night here!

Friendly staff and beautiful place. Convenient if you watch sunset at the nearby salt pans.

Ho avuto la fortuna di vivere un'esperienza indimenticabile in questo luogo magico, che ha conquistato il mio cuore con la sua bellezza, la sua storia e la sua passione per il vino.
La mia avventura è iniziata con una degustazione guidata dei vini prodotti da Baglio Donna Franca. Ogni sorso era un viaggio sensoriale attraverso i vigneti, raccontando la storia del territorio e la dedizione dei vignaioli. Ho avuto modo di apprezzare la complessità e l'eleganza dei loro vini, frutto di una meticolosa selezione delle uve e di una sapiente lavorazione.
La giornata si è conclusa con una cena squisita presso il ristorante dell'agriturismo. I piatti, preparati con ingredienti freschi e di stagione, erano un'esaltazione dei sapori tipici siciliani. Ogni portata era un capolavoro di gusto e raffinatezza, accompagnato dai vini pregiati di Baglio Donna Franca.

Ambiente molto ricercato e curato, soprattutto la pulizia nelle camere e negli spazi comuni è assolutamente perfetta. Consiglio vivamente la visita alla cantina che la proprietaria propone agli ospiti, molto interessante! Nel complesso un luogo meraviglioso
