Rastrello Cucina & Giardino

I came here last night and wasn't able to eat. My friends got the menu of the day and it was 4 courses with especially delicious, duck breast, larch raviolo, matched wines. The vintner was there and described the process of each wine. As a result I spent the entire day thinking about it.

I just went back with other people and feasted. The food is farm to table and amazingly fresh.

The location has an amazing view of the nearby valley. Come for a lovely sunset dinner.

Did the New Years Menu at Rastrello Cucine and Giarsino and it surpassed expectations in every way. Each of the courses was delicious with outstanding presentation. The kitchen and dining room staff did an exceptional job managing every moment of the experience, including a private fireworks show just prior to the new year. Knocked it out of the park!

Wonderful location and staff, great wines and food and kids proof. We’ve visited the restaurant this evening with my family. We felt very welcome and we’ve discovered a great local wine which was a welcome surprise since we love Italian wines. The starter was delicious and we’ve had pizza as main course. The pizza was nice, not the best we’ve had but still good. Service was great and helpful, we felt very well served. Highly recommend place and the view from the terrace was wonderful romantic. Just go! 5 stars!

Beautiful location, great food and drinks with local ingredients for a very reasonably price considering this is a hotel restaurant. Can be quite busy with larger groups at times so reservations may be needed even if staying at the hotel.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We were staying in the area and we ate here three times. The menu is eclectic and creative and still Umbrian. My son had the duck and I thought he might have a stroke after he tasted it. But all the food was THAT good. They have their own olive oil farm and those oils are all sublime- and they will give you a tasting session if you ask for it. The location is beautiful and the restaurant itself is modern but somehow manages to maintain the spirit of the 1000 year town that surrounds it. The staff accommodating and the prices are reasonable. I cannot recommend it enough. And it should tell you something that we were in the area for almost 2 weeks and we are out twice every day in 10 different towns and we STILL had to come back to Rastrello. Thank you all for the incredible memories. We will be back!!!

Wonderful hidden gem in Umbria. We stayed in Apt and it is perfect for a group traveling together; that gets along. Food and service are top shelf. Great central location for day trips to surrounding sights. The town has amazing atmosphere and food selection. Fantastico!!!!

Super good service, nice and personal staff! The dishes were super fancy, not expensive and very tasty. The atmosphere was also really really fantastic, good view, soft music in the back, a little waterfall and classy ambiance!!

It’s actually that good!
So it’s a restaurant in a hotel - you’d think that means that it’s overpriced, or under quality.
But no! It’s actually amazingly good , and utterly affordable too!
Big on local products, small but excellent menu, and everything done Just Right - seriously, just go here….

Did really like going to this restaurant for breakfast & for dinner a few times. They have such nice food, friendly staff & a very nice view. The only thing that does not make it a 5 star for me is that the portions of the food vary to much. The first night we went there we had 2 courses and felt like it was just enough. So the second night we went for 3 courses but the portions were só much bigger that after the second course we were just filled to the brim. Would be nice if they adjust the portions a bit.

Locale molto bello, raffinato e contemporaneo ma con cucina pretenziosa e con idee mal eseguite, su materie prime di alta qualità. A noi è toccato ahimè dover mangiare dentro in una bella serata estiva perché avevano deciso di occupare il giardino con la proiezione della partita. Capisco in pizzeria o al bar ma non si può voler gestire un locale di questo genere e poi obbligare ad un partita mentre si cena. Pessima scelta.
