Mercato Comunale

Great little market in town. Not sure why people gave it bad reviews - this is perfect market for local and fresh produce. In my opinion, this is what’s missing in the US., where produces are mainly sold in big chain stores that don’t really care about their quality or sources. Love the vegetable stands, with some Sicily specific veggies and fruits. The meat shop is sell beautiful pork and even rabbits!
Last but not the least, the fish market. The guy comes to work at different hours - the market opens around 7am. But he will
come either 7 or 9am or even 10am, depending on a lot of factors, I’ve been told.

This is a market primarily for local residents, and we found it totally delightful. A local chef recommended it, and the different vendors were selling wonderfully fresh vegetables, a variety of seafood and meats....even fresh flower arrangements. Not easy to find, but worth it.

The local market consists of two fruit and vegetable stands, one grocer and one fish vendor. Not much, but the quality of the products is good and the staff friendly. So it's a good alternative to the often overcrowded Coop nearby.

Small, but lovely. The meat shop was fantastic. The vegetable shop had very reasonable prices.

Bel mercato,buoni i prodotti .freschissimo il pesce che ho comprato al bancone della sign.Eleonora .da visitare sicuramente. Solo a piedi però, manca parcheggio

It's a good little covered market for the locals. Open daily.

Meat, fish, vegetables, fruit - so it's not really a place for tourists (unless you were self-catering, I guess)
