Laura and Monti, the owner, are very nice and polite, the same for the whole Staff. You feel like at home! Good quality restaurant as well!!! Thank you very much, I will surely come back 😊

Amazing restaurant! We felt so at home - had excellent conversation, phenomenal food , amazing drinks. The wine selection is PERFECT!!! And so fun to see the “cellar” and choose from it. Tons of local options. Laura made our trip better than I could have ever dreamed!! If you’re in the area, you must must must stop by.

After a long walk on a sunshiny day we desided to have the lunch by the Osteria. They where very friendly, the food was delicious.
When we sit there the weather became very bad, it began to rain, thundering and lightening. The clouds where very dark.
The ladie of the house Laura offered us to bring us by car to Vergne where we stayed.
So very nice of her. So kind.
But also the food and the wine of Luca Marenco, which we had there and had a tastery afterwards, was delicious.
Only a feeling of luck and happiness.
Thank you, we surely come back when we are in the aeria.

My wife and I love this restaurant. We stayed in Novello only a short time, yet enjoyed 3 dinner meals at Casa Barbabuc . The meals are incredibly tasty and the presentation excellent. We found each meal as rewarding as the previous night's . The server/owner was delightful and we enjoyed her immensely. The prices are very reasonable as well. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice little village. Accommodating host. Weather was rainy and cold but room is nice and warm. Their own Restaurant was closed with low season but host booked another restaurant 2 min walk away which was very good. Great value for money and good location to visit Barolo, Alba, Mondovi and also Vicoforte.

Fantastic food, hard to stop. Enjoyed the tasting menu with region specific delicatessen. Daniela is a fantastic host. Knowledgeable and funny. Must try the Nascetta. Not for people on diet :)

Simply the best! Excellent food, super friendly service, what else? In Barbabuc, high cuisine meets the cosiest of atmospheres, Daniela is a perfect host. Thank you for this lovely culinary experience! Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful spot in the small town on Novello. The food was delicious with some of best black truffles we had in the area. Major highlights were the appetizer with eggs, cheese and truffles and the three crudos. The women who we think was the owner paired wines for us that included a Gavi to start and a Langhe Nebbiolo. The chocolate cake was to die for! Chef came out and greeted each table. Stop before just next door (a little down the steet) on the same side of the street at the little wine store with a few tables for a glass of the very local Nas-cetta which is a little funky. If you don’t want funk yet the rose of Nebbiolo.

Cozy restaurant with excellent local food. The waitresses are very kind and polite. I would recommend the stew with Barolo.

Non ho parole, tutto buonissimo. Siamo stati lì per il compleanno di mia figlia gentilissimo il personale e molto disponibile. Per i piatti buonissimi sia antipasti primi e secondi. Noi abbiamo festeggiato con misto di antipasti. Come primi ognuno di noi ha assaggiato tutti. Ie non uno era non buono. Come secondo una maggior parte ha ordinato i gamberoni con pancetta, anche i tomini caldi con salsiccia è piaciuto molto. Abbiamo chiesto alla prenotazione se potevamo portare la torta di compleanno 🎂 e ci hanno risposto di sì visto che in tanti ristoranti non vogliono fare pagare il taglio. Hanno una grande cantina. Ci sono anche tavoli fuori tra ombrelloni e piante. Andate e sarete soddisfatti.

Ci siamo fermati da Barbabuc per una notte ed è stata una scoperta davvero piacevole!
La coppia di proprietari è stata gentilissima e disponibile sin dal momento della prenotazione.
Siamo arrivati in tarda serata e ci hanno accolto preparandoci anche la cena nonostante la cucina fosse chiusa. Plin di carciofi buonissimi!!
