Everything works, from the place, atmosphere, rooms, service, wines to especially well prepared food.
Surprise menu that you are eating without knowing how it is prepared makes you dig into the food with all your senses.
I recommend the place to anybody who likes good food and is prepared to a spend couple of hours enjoying excellent dinner!

The menu, the wine, the locations were excellent but on top of that the service and the way they let you know what you just ate were the things that made this restaurant exceptional. It really felt like an experience and not just eating.

A unique experience, not replicable anywhere on earth. If you find yourself in Piemonte, it would be a shame to leave with out experiencing Ant. The food, atmosphere, and service is beyond compare.

Spectacular, truly. A complete and total sensory discovery start to finish. Not knowing what you’re eating until after the dish has been eaten is brilliant. Forces you to dig in and really judge each dish on taste and quality rather than any preconceived notions. Chef and his team are spectacular.

Special combinations and way of making their dishes but all flavors were excellent! Combined with great wines, super energetic, friendly staff and good music makes the restaurant just top! We will definitely go back there!

You can’t come to this place and not leave with a smile, if not something major has changed since we visited. The guys running these place are true artists when it comes to food, hospitality and openness. The place is very relaxed but still very serious and high quality. They make u feel relaxed and well taken care of!

The place itself is just a true beauty, wonderfully restored with a one of a kind wine cellar.

The rooms where clean and very modern. Own kitchenplace and big fridge.

Right now it is a hidden gem I would say, they could charge more then they do, somehow I hope they can stay in the pricerange and still deliver what they do so that people from all over could visit if they like to try and learn about wine and food.

It is an excellent gourmet restaurant in Novello, Italy. The experience starts right from the outside and never stops. The Chef and the staff are doing their best to provoke your senses and open your mind. Very creative food at such an affordable price. Be prepared for the nonconventional. Highly recommended!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Ant. It's located in Novello, a charming and quiet village in the Barolo wine region. Ant is right next to the beautiful Novello castle, and you're surrounded by sweeping vineyard views. Our room was very large with everything we needed (including waters and snacks in the fridge and fresh baked cake waiting for us). The bed was large and comfortable and the decor is truly special. It's very simple (mostly white and wood) which I loved, and there are many interesting details with the furniture and design elements. We stayed for two nights and would go down and have an evening drink on the patio with the great hosts there. The patio and courtyard are beautiful, as is the restaurant. We ate at the restaurant our first night, which you absolutely must do. It was such a fun and unique experience: going to the wine cellar to pick out your bottle for dinner, course after course of unique dishes, a fun game after each course where you guess what you ate and all ingredients involved. The meal was a highlight of our entire trip. Note that it is not traditional Italian whatsoever, but definitely worth the experience. Novello has some other restaurants, enotecas, etc. and the location is a great home base for exploring the wine region.

Ant is the most innovative restaurant I've visited in a long time.
From the street, it makes you wonder if you're in the right place, but once you enter through the old gate, things unfold one after another: the lovely courtyard, the chic dining room with vine branches as silverware holders and hand-carved cow bones as napkin rings, the tastefully renovated old cellar, with wine bottles and pickle jars, the friendly staff - and, last but not least, the food.
Our seven courses surprise dinner menu was simply spectacular. Just a few mentions, with apologies if not entirely correct: tomato soup with dashi base; a dish made from corn, cooked several ways, with coriander and feta cheese; and a pork belly roast to die for.
All of this accompanied by a wine that one could select directly from their cellar - that made for a really memorable evening.

If you're tired of the same traditional pasta, pizza, etc. and want to take your taste buds on a surprising journey - this place is awesome!

Wow wow wow. I’ve been to many restaurants in my life but this was up there with the best experiences I ever had. The way the guys at Ant manage to apply their concept of delicate mystery to everything they do (design, arrival at the restaurant, food, wine, overall experience, instagram) was truly amazing. They don’t tell you what you’re eating, this way our conversation around the table was 100% focussed on the food in front of us. Trying to taste, guess and take bets with each other on what we’re eating. It’s like a self-discovery before they lift the secret after you’ve finished your dish. Fitting the concept you also choose the wine you want to drink yourself by venturing into their beautiful wine cellar and picking your bottle based on your gut feeling. The staff was incredibly friendly, we had such a good time and their choice of music completes a stellar sensory experience. Must visit if you’re in Piemonte!

An amazing restaurant and experience. I love the piemontese kitchen, but this is an excellent option, something totally different.
I love the fact it’s a “blind” dining sett menu, where you’re first told what’s on the plate after it’s eaten. Go with an open mind, and you’ll be amazed.

Fantastic and unique food experience. Surprisingly nonconservative with many Japanese touches, the dishes were very well composed and absolutely delicious. And the wines were fabulous too.

Unique experience. No menu and you get the explaination of what you ate after you finished the dish. Which extra triggers your tastebuds to try and identify what your eating. Oh and they changed the recipes in order to accommodate the fact that i can't have gluten. Super service guys!!!

It was a pleasure to stay a few days with Alex and Ticiano. Such a nice place and the food in the restaurant is stunning. Don't expect something well-known or common for this area. It was like a roller coaster through several areas of taste. Well done!

WoW! What an amazing experience we received at ANT thanks to Tiziano and the rest of his team. Michelin star level food in a beautiful setting (old farm converted to restaurant) and with great (yet affordable) wines. All in all this dinner on the final evening of our trip in Langhe made it an unforgettable holiday. Thanks again for the great evening and I hope to visit ANT again many times in the future. You guys rock!

Not the usual Piemont dishes, but very tasty and completely different concept. There is no menu and the dishes are explained to you after being eaten. Flavoursome, unusual combinations. Definitely recommend.

An interesting, entertaining and highly-enjoyable fine-dining experience. The 5-star reviews are well-deserved. Delightfully original food accompanied by well-chosen wines, delivered by a genuinely friendly team.

Finally something totally different in the area! The place is beautiful and the people are really nice! If you want the classic Langhe food, go somewhere else. If you want innovative and creative food with details on anny dish you have to go and check it out! Loved it <3

Amazing place with a beautiful walk in wine cellar, outstanding surprise dinner with asian/japanese touch ... not what you would typically expect in this area but we loved it. Service was also excellent. Would definitely return
