Residence Terra Rossa

Truly a wonderful place to stay. We effectively had a one bedroom apartment (kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom) that offered 180 degrees view of the Ionian sea from the bedroom or the terrace outside. Heavenly. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Definitely 5 stars. Taormina is also a unique and wonderful place...... and hilly. Every walk provides magnificent views, including over to the Italian mainland, but will involve climbing or descending steps....lots of steps. But don't let that put you off. Like Terra Rossa, its a magical place and well worth the stay. Enjoy it, because you most definitely will.

The town and beach are typically full of people meaning we were more tuned in to notice and appreciate the contrast and calmness and serenity of the apartments on coming back from these trips.

The town is at the top of the hill and the beach at the bottom (obvs) with the apartments perfectly placed between the two making both easily accessible. Having said that, you do need to have some level of fitness, but you will have earnt those carbs once the stairs to town have been climbed!

We had a two bed apartment with a balcony that had stunning panoramic views which was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed during out stay.

The swimming pool was a decent size with plenty of places around it to relax and just enjoy the atmosphere and gardens.

Fully recommend.

Amazing experience at Residence Terra Rossa. The family that run this place are very friendly and cant do enough for you. The location is perfectly positioned between the beach and main shopping precinct and the views are breathtaking. If you are looking for authentic Taormina experience where you feel like one of the locals, this is your place.

We booked 3 bedroom villa with the name "Casa Marie Louise". Perfectly suitable for family with 3 kids. Large private terrace with pool - while on the map it looks packed you are at the side of the mountain so you do not have neighbours on your eye level. Kitchen&living room area with large windows was amazing too. Gorgeous views!!!! Also location was great - between Isola Bella and Taormina. Lot of stairs to reach either of them, but take your time, walk slowly, enjoy the scenery. I also liked pool area - while pool itself was nothing too special, views from it where amazing. Also architecture and gardening of the premises was beautiful. If you need to check in at night make sure to contact property in advance for instructions, as they do not have 24 hour reception. There is also no daily room service but reception people helped us out every time we needed something, so no problem! We usually do not visit same place several times but I would seriously consider booking the same room again next time I visit Sicily. Given the size and quality of the premises and stunning scenery, I think the value is great!

Probably the best price/quality/location accommodation you can find in Taormina. Very nice and picturesque, would absolutely recommend! And a really helpful receptionist as well

This residence is the most beautiful accommodation. We felt so lucky to have the wonderful views and incredible garden. We loved sitting outside. All staff were kind & helpful, and the taxi transfer was wonderful!

Location is halfway between the beach (down the hill) and Taomarina town (up the hill). You can park the car 100 meters from the hotel. Terrace overlooking isola bella is great. Rooms nice. Reception staff helpful 👍🏻

We are a family of four (two teenagers), that stayed in a nice two bedroom villa overlooking the bay - quite spacious and comfortable.

We had a small kitchen, fridge etc. that allowed us to cook when we wanted to.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice and the pool and terrace are much larger than they look in the pictures.

All in all we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Residence Terra Rossa.

We're a fit family that enjoy walking, so the well documented steps between the villa, beach and town weren't a problem for us, but if you are unfit, or unable to walk steep staircases then this isn't the place for you.

It didn't bother us though and we had a lovely holiday.

This is an oasis in the beautiful town of Taormina.

The staff are friendly, kind, and helpful especially Giovanni who treated us like old friends and made a real effort to help us. The staff were lovely especially to my daughter.

The view is breathtaking, the breakfast excellent and tasty, and the pool a good size.
Yes there are stairs to climb either way but you can go down the (236) steps and you are at Isobella beach and if you want to go into town you can get the funicular.

The whole property, pool and gardens are meticulously maintained and the atmosphere is peaceful and you feel immersed in the gorgeous garden.

For us having the apartment with a kitchenette meant we could relax "at home" in the evenings when we didn't feel like the bustled of the town.

My wife and I got the Junior Suite, which is a lovely apartment with a fantastic view on the sea. Couldn’t be more thankful for such unique spot. And also I appreciated the communication to book it directly with Costanza rather than through a booking website. Be aware that there are quite a lot of stairs to go to the historical downtown. But it is a great opportunity to admire the scenery and digest the food from those local restaurants recommended by Terra Rossa!

I have stayed in Terra Rossa with my wife in 2007 and now in 2023 with the kids. It has been a great pleasure to bring back the memories. The owners are extremely pleasant as we remembered them. The residence is in the middle of the hill, so both the beach and the city are accessible, for me a good compromise, very quiet, full of nature and at the same time, probably one of the best breathtaking views of Taormina. I will be very happy if we manage to come back again.

My first time in Taormina, and I had the best experience, staying at Terra Rossa. Loved the location, it was very close to the beach (just some stairs down by walking), and the old town was also in walking distance. We stayed at the Deluxe Apartment, which was a huge triplex unit with a big terrace. The ocean view from our terrace was breathtaking, and the big pool looking over the ocean was the best part. Our apt had all the kitchen appliances and dinnerware equipped for cooking (although there were so many amazing restaurants nearby) and also had a washer. Everything was dreamy during my stay for 6 days and will definitely stay here again for my next visit.

What a hidden gem, the views were spectacular. Rooms are modest but the property and views make it a great value.

Pretty much perfect. Stayed in an "Apartment with sea view and patio" for four nights. Nice room, in a beautiful setting, with pretty pool overlooking the sea and olive trees, lemon trees and orange trees all around. A 5 min walk down to one of the best beaches in Sicily (great sea swimming even in November) and a 15 min walk up to Taormina old town. As long as you're comfortable walking lots of steps to the beach or town, it's difficult to imagine anywhere better.

It’s an amazing hotel with really beautiful and helpful staff. The breakfast was nice. Spending a day by the pool and watching this view is a must.
I wish the rooms were a bit more modernised and a TV is needed.

Overall seven star rating is what I would give for this villa where we stayed from.28.9.2023 to 8.10.2023 with a family gang of 15 persons..fully equipped for cooking, washing clothes, dish washing, ironing, rods for drying clothes, Aircon, heaters, oven, toasters, grill , with accessories like detergent powders, soaps, cooking oil, salt, sugar etc etc. You think of it amd you have it. We had a great Vacation amd family time.

As a last minute booking (due to our timings being changed on the ferry from the mainland) this was such a delight and a fantastic find in Taormina. Having a car made it easy to drive up and find the residence with ample parking if not out the front, there is a car park just up the road. Very welcoming service upon arrival which gave us an early check-in. Beautifully laid out residence encourages you to walk around the property and see if from different angles.

Rooms are wall appointed, no TV though in ours or Aircon but did have a ceiling fan. (Not sure if this is the norm across all rooms)

Staff were very friendly and overall a really nice stay.

In terms of location it's excellent. Their pool has an epic view out onto the ocean and with a short 10 minute walk (with the steps / path right there when you exit the property) to head down to the main beach area. Alternatively a 15 or so minute walk up hill to Taormina main city centre ! Most times though we used the Cable Way up and back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 night for our first visit to Taormina. We absolutely loved our stay and felt like very valued guests throughout. We had quite frequent requests and not once did we feel we were asking for too much. The staff were very warm and made us feel like we could ask them anything. We are greatly appreciative to you all, thank you Terra Rossa!

Amazing place! We stayed in an apartment with terrace. The apartment was very spacious and with fantastic view. The pool and terrace also amazing. Nice staff. Be aware of the location. Many stairs going to town or going to the beach.
