55 On The Hill

In October, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at 55 On The Hill.

Teressa and Andy were fantastic hosts, who were warm and welcoming. They have excellent local knowledge and they can give great advice on where to go for an authentic Italian experience.

The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful scenery with breathtaking mountain vistas. It’s a stylish, modern and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant and cosy stay.

The bed is really comfortable and the apartment even has a washing machine. There is plenty of space to relax and a cute balcony which is perfect for a coffee and a place to enjoy the views.

Barge itself is a quaint Italian town and a perfect base to explore the area.

Such a lovely place to stay. Arguably one of the most beautiful views in Italy I have seen! Andy and his wife were absolutely lovely hosts and made my partner and I feel right at home. They even started a fire for us and my sisters family when we wanted to sit outside for a bit and were always up for a nice chat. In addition their place is close to so many incredible trails, hikes, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend making your way up to Monviso if you have the time. Cannot recommend staying here enough!!

The apartment is gorgeous, beautifully decorated & has everything you need. The views, you will never tire of them as they are stunning! So many places to visit around this area & public transport is very good. I travelled on my own & felt so welcome by the owners, supportive whilst giving you space. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful break in an area of Italy that you perhaps haven't considered. I'll be returning!

We stayed in the lovely apartment here in May. As others have said, it’s very stylish but also very comfortable and everything a visitor might ask for has been provided. We were especially glad of the washing machine (with detergent), the tea, coffee, milk etc. All the things that make life easier for travellers.
Theresa and Andy are super hosts who will tell you all the best places to go -whether it’s eateries, hikes, skiing, sites of cultural interest or just where to find the best aperitivos or gelati.
We really hope to revisit in the near future.

55 on the hill is such a special place. The apartment is beautifully styled and has everything you could want (and more). The scenery is stunning and the town centre a 5 min drive away. Theresa and Andy are first class hosts and it's so lovely to have the animals around. If you're looking for a quiet, sunny break you couldn't go wrong with 55 on the hill. Highly recommended!

For anyone in search of a tranquil escape in Italian countryside, this mountainside apartment in NW Italy is an unparalleled choice. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting twice now and I still can’t get over the panoramic views across towns like the charming Cavour.
The apartment itself is elegantly finished with both modern comforts and italian charm. Theresa and Andy have thought of everything you could need and made sure their visitors are well looked after. Also speaking Italian themselves makes them the most fantastic tour guides - whether it be for shopping, walking, lunching, you name it - they know all sorts of places to go.
This is a place I really look forward to returning to many times and highly recommend to anyone!!

A wonderful apartment in a lovely location. Barges is a sweet town with history and cafes and shops and gorgeous views. Andy and Theresa are warm and welcoming and the pretty apartment has everything you could want. A relaxing peaceful spot with lots to do and see. Can’t wait to go back!

Stayed at 55 On The Hill in February and returned in June and we’re planning our next stay! Loved it and looking forward to visiting the Mountains around Barge again soon! Theresa and Andy were fantastic hosts and I highly recommend you find out more if you’re looking for a visit to North Italy.

We had a fabulous stay at 55 On the Hill. The weather was beautiful, enhancing the amazing scenery seen from the balcony of the apartment.
The apartment was well equipped and extremely comfortable. Our hosts Andy and Theresa helped make our stay memorable.

With it's magical views, high end facilities and wonderful hosts, 55 On The Hill is a perfect place to spend a holiday. There are endless opportunities to hike, ski and enjoy all that Italy has to offer. All within a short drive. 55 On The Hill ticks all the boxes and really feels like a home from home. Can't wait to make a return visit!

A wonderful renovated apartment which maintains the rustic feel in keeping with the rural location although with modern comforts.
The hosts are a pleasent couple who appear to have embraced the local cultures and are very knowledgable about the local area and customs. Overall a splendid environment for a getaway.

55 on the hill was exactly how we envisioned, great views and authentic... not to forget warm and inviting. Theresa and Andy on top form as always with the hospitality and knowledge. We came in the summer but will be back in the winter for even more.

My son and I had a wonderful week here - the apartment is decorated beautifully and has all the comforts of home. Really comfy beds and the views are fabulous. Great location for hiking, skiing, site seeing and shopping. Theresa and Andy are super hosts, really helpful (particularly when I had a nightmare with my hire car company at Turin airport!) Theresa also helped me with some physical therapy. It’s a very easy drive to Sestriere for some awesome skiing. We will be back!
