Ho visitato questo ufficio postale oggi. un posto grandioso e pulito.
Il personale molto gentile e disposta ad aiutarmi. She recognized that I was not fluent in Italian and so she answered my questions in English. However she made me feel comfortable in talking to her in Italian when she knew I wanted to practice it conversationally.

Poste Italiane is famous worldwide for its inefficiency. The staff at this location are extremely kind and helpful, but the location is severely short-staffed. It is always sad to see such a large facility underutilized. At most there will be two staff working the service windows. There are actually several more windows that could be opened. Since Italians use the Poste for more than just mailing letters, you can always expect a line. The parking lot is ridiculously small and hard to navigate. Their newly updated equipment is still slow and poorly designed for the space available. (They were still using dot matrix printers when we arrived in 2017.)
