La Vacchetta Grassa

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Modena. We loved the city! One of our favorite parts was walking around the historical center and window-shopping. La Vacchetta Grassa caught our eye immediately. In the window were beautifully colored bags and satchels, and the leather shop is right behind the glass to give the customer a real sense of craftsmenship. Not to mention the wonderful leather smell! We purchased the leather tortellino as a keepsake, and though there was a mix-up with which product we had asked for, the Vacchetta Grassa Customer Service was optimum and remedied the situation immediately. The quality of the products and the quality of the Customer Service warrant a stop by this enchanting shop! Definitely worth another visit the next time we are in Modena.

We were looking for locally created leather goods and found La Vacchetta Grassa when we were staying in Modena. Their work is amazing and they are very patient and helpful. We were excited to find wonderfully hand made items for everyone in our family.

Amazing shop in the heart of Modena where they not only sell their leather goods but also make them all onsite. Staff is super friendly. Purchased two bags for my wife and wallet and notebook for myself. Quality handmade goods are so hard to come by in a world of mass manufacturing and flashy brands. This place truly is a gem!

The shop is wonderful with very high-quality products! They also have an Airbnb experience called "Make Your Leather Tortellino Keychain" that Giorgio hosts. It is absolutely a wonderful experience that allows you to work in the shop and make a memorable leather souvenir with your own hands. Check it out!

Cool local workshop and store that sells amazing handmade leather goods. Had a great chat with the owner who was very friendly and knowledgable.

What a wonderful shop! The artisans also run the shop and were lovely to talk with. My husband got a beautiful wallet and I got a tortellini keychain as a gift. Great place.

Heaven on earth! Bought a wallet and a key chain and had the wallet marked with my initials right on the spot! Would highly recommend for those looking for great leather quality products!

The local handmade leather goods are of an exceptional quality. The staff/artisans were very friendly and gave us a tour of the beautiful second floor work area.

Grazie di cuore! Mi era rimasta impressa questa piccola bottega nel centro di Modena e sono stato felicissimo di constatare che dopo diversi anni è ancora in attività! Ho avuto il piacere di acquistare una borsa sul loro sito e-commerce e devo dire che le fotografie non deludono le aspettative..anzi!! La borsa mi è arrivata in 2 giorni con corriere espresso e devo dire che la qualità del prodotto si vede e si sente ed è di gran lunga superiore a moltissimi prodotti dello stesso genere. Grazie ancora!

Prodotti artigianali di alta qualità e curati nei dettagli. Superiori, secondo il mio parere come ovvio, a quelli di molti marchi di lusso. Vale la pena di trattenersi, se si presenta l'occasione, con il titolare, che è disponibile a mostrare il laboratorio, a parlare del suo mestiere e di come vede lo sviluppo futuro della città e del territorio. Insomma è un luogo che merita una visita, pur senza essere un'attrazione turistica vera e propria.

Ragazzi gentilissimi, accoglienti ed egregi nel lavoro, che svolgono davvero con passione ed attenzione! Artigiani sapienti e rispettosi delle tradizioni, sanno mettere tutti a proprio agio e lasciano mettere alla prova i clienti facendo vivere loro un'esperienza davvero unica: tortellini in cuoio fatti a mano (con una gustosissima merenda)! Da andare a trovarli assolutamente!

Penso che sia una delle botteghe più belle di Modena. Il solo passare davanti alla vetrina ti fa venire voglia di entrare anche solo a toccare tutti quegli articoli meravigliosi. Ogni volta che ho dovuto fare un regalo importante sono sempre venuto qui e non ho mai sbagliato.
