After traveling for a week in Sicily and being treated rudely by waiters several times, we are very happy to have found this place with outstanding service! Even though there was only one man who seems to be the owner working, he was attentive and meticulous. The food was good for the price we paid. We were happy and satisfied after the meal.

Excellent! We started with the fish bruschetta (salmon and shrimp replaced the tomatoes) which was fantastic. My wife ordered the homemade pistachio pasta and I had the pasta with shrimp in heavy cream and both were exceptional. Add a carafe of wine and a bottle of water and everything was under 60 euros... how do you beat that?!? 100% recommend.

The truth is this place fully lives up to its name. The feeling is you dropped by a friends house and their Nonna or Zia is cooking dinner and you just join them on a regular Friday evening. I guess what I am trying to say :) is that we absolutely enjoyed our lunch here, it was exactly what we were looking for in Palermo for some time with all its perfections and imperfections.
The rose house wine was like a fresh grape juice with beautiful colour and tiny hint of sweetness.
The dishes are spectacular and very much feel like home made.
Any sort of fish/sea food we tried was VERY fresh.
The rolled eggplant is fantastic and a must try.
Very friendly with kids.

This was the best meal I had in Palermo :)

I had the seafood pasta, along with a few oysters & beer. Splendid!

All was wonderful, delicious, and plentiful...I shouldn't need to say anymore.

If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit. You won't be disappointed. (You may want to get a reservation if you want to go at a busy lunch or dinner time.)

Was THE best food we had our whole trip in Italy. The seafood was all super fresh. The waiter was kind & worked with us even though we can’t speak Italian. My partner and I have since been dreaming about the risotto.

Amazing! MUST TRY
Took picture only fo the Sicilian antipasti which was just amazing. Food is fresh, prices are very low, and the service is fast and attentive. This place is a 5 stars on all front. The octopus salad and the pasta with sarde were just amazing. Please do yourself a favour and stop here for lunch or dinner!

Great service, amazing food and best value for experience! The waited a bit, because of the roasted while fish, but it was definitely worth it. Top 3 fishes I ever ate. Even though it’s near by the touristy street, here you can find authentic and delicious food made by locals for phenomenal prices! If we come back to Palermo, we’ll definitely visit again 😍 we had the fish, spaghetti with clams, a side of Sicilian traditional appetizer, water and a beer and paid 33€ including coperto! Amazing!!

The taste and the quality of the ingredients of the food there was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!
The lasagna was just breathtaking (and I have tried my fair share of those), the octopus (IT: polipo) salad along with the "big salad" (sardines, VERY intense and ripe black olives, yummy ripe tomatos and corn with a few chili flakes) was just the best lunch I could have had on the whole trip.

Regarding prices: it was - compared to other restaurants - VERY much affordable and appropriate!

The atmosphere in this family-run restaurant itself was also very lovely and welcoming.

Had a very pleasant experience, family run restaurant, they were very friendly. make sure to get a reservation as the restaurant is small and fills up fast. The food was excellent, wish I could of tried everything on the menu. The price was very inexpensive but the quality was top notch, very tasty! I spent a week travelling around Sicily, I'd have to say this was the best food I had! very rich and flavorful.

Tasty, quality! High recommendations. After bad experience in another restaurant I was very happy to find this restaurant next to my house.

Yum yum yum!! I would like to see the Italian grand maa who is cooking this yummy food! Every dish is so amazing, pasta can’t taste better than this. Not to mentioned that the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!

Lovely family-run eatery tucked away from the busy tourist street. Serves delicious local delicacies. Our favourite has to be the meat skewer made of stuffed seafood.

If I could, I would rate this restaurant 4,5 out of 5.
What I really liked is that the restaurant is situated away from the main turistic streets, so it feels a lot more authentic and calm.

First we ordered a starter: bruschetta with fish. This was very good and the portion was fairly big, you can definitely share this starter with more people. I would probably say this was the dish that stood out to me the most.
Next we had 3 different pastas: with pistachio and gamberi, with cream and gamberi and with tomato and gamberi.

Tagliatelle with gamberi and cream was the most basic one. It was good but it was definitely something one could prepare at home and it would probably taste the same.
The big rigatoni with tomato and gamberi was the most fresh one and the sauce really had that sea taste, however we felt that this pasta shape was a bit awkward to eat with this particular sauce and gamberi because it was hard to taste all at the same time.
Homemade pasta with pistachio was the most interesting one and to me it tasted the best, it was quite heavy tho, probably due to the heavy cream.

I probably wouldn’t visit this restaurant twice, just because It didn’t stand out so much, but it definitely didn’t disappoint and I would still recommend it if you want a more private, quiet dinner.

We booked this place casually as it looked alright and we were not prepared for what followed. The menus looked like they'd been printed out this morning at a corner shop and our host informed us early on that he was doing full front of house for the restaurant solo that evening. What followed was a range of comical semaphore and our attempts to converse with him in eng-taliano greatly assisted by our polyglot friend.

In the truest sense this was dinner and a show as our server made up for the lack of other staff members through a combination of physical comedy and razzing us about forgetting which dishes we had ordered. At the end of the meal he lost our receipt then made up for it with complementary cannoli which we gladly scoffed.

This is hands down the best Italian food we have had all trip, simple and tasty and paired with an unforgettable experience. The pistachio pasta was amazing, the orata perfectly cooked and the caponata was beautifully balanced and ridiculous in portion size for the price.

I wouldn't advise going here if you're going to moan about small foibles or spaces between dishes but the food absolutely slaps. To top this all off we realised at the end he had thought we were Germans. Danke Schön Odori!

A lovely little family-run place. It has the cleanest kitchen. The restaurant offers three mini tables inside. There is also a covered terrace outside. So if you are visiting in winter you might want to book in advance.

If you like seafood, indulge your taste buds with orange, fennel, spring onion, and anchovies salad.

After several times getting disappointed by street food in Palermo, we found this fabulous restaurant with extremely delicious and simple food.
This is a family run restaurant, and not many people work there, so you might need to wait a little more than usual to get your order, but it's worth the waiting.
I respect them, and I loved their food!

This 43 year old handsome man has just had the best starter in his entire life. No jokes. Caponata is highly recommended.
Then my main, omg! Forgot what it was called but basically spaghetti with potatoes.
I have never had a food experience like this and you just gotta visit

I spent two weeks in Palermo, and ate here 4 times — my favorite restaurant! Polpo con patate is incredible, and the owners / chefs are very friendly. I hope to visit again some day. I felt very happy and relaxed eating here.
