Cable Car - Taormina Mazzarò

I had an amazing experience riding the cable car, and I can’t recommend it enough! The location is simply stunning, offering breathtaking views of the beautiful landscape and the sparkling sea from such heights. It was a joy to soak in the scenery as we ascended.

However, I did notice that the cable car seats were quite old, and the glass windows could have been cleaner, which took away a bit from the overall experience. Despite these minor flaws, the ride was still fantastic, and the views made it all worthwhile. If you’re looking for an adventure that offers incredible sights, this cable car is a must-try! Four stars for the views and the memorable experience!

I think this is the best way to go up from the car park to the Taormina town. It costs 6€ for one way and 10€ return ticket. It’s expensive but quick and you have the picturesque views, so why not? Children who have less than 1-meter height are free :) I find it funny that they preferred this rather than the age limit. There is a dress code as well, bikinis are not allowed, they ask you to put a T-shirt etc.
We didn’t have any big queues either like the other people mentioned, however this depends on the times and the season. All in all, it’s a good experience.

Taormina is lovely. with the cable you will have a beautiful view and it's not expensive. They open very early till late so no problem if you park the car underneath and go for dinner or a nice glass of wine. All the restaurants are good. From the above, you will see a spectacular view of giardini Naxos

Had only just opened on the last day of our holiday. This is the easiest way to travel from the bottom of Taormina to the top. 3 euro each way. Use this as bus service is chaotic.

Easiest way to get to the beach from upper Taormina. It was quite expensive, though. 3 min ride cost 6€ one way 10€ return.

A beautiful way to visit Isola Bella, absorbing the magnificent view while descending with the cable car. Highly recommended for just over three Euros per trip per person.

€10 per person for a round trip up and down to the city center! There is parking right behind the cable car and alleviates the hassle of finding parking or getting fines up near the city center (it is such a pain to even drive up there!).

It is a really very nice way go to the top and back and they are nice pods and nice prices and greatly designed tickets

If you want to go Isola Bella, you should take the cake car. I know a taxi and bus are also available but the cable car can provide a special experience to you. It's so high from the top of Taormina then you can see a beautiful scene of the beach. Take the cable car, must!!!

Best way to get to the beach area. A bit expensive but worth it

Very useful to travel quickly between the mountain top town centre and the beach. Both sides are in convenient locations. The wait can seem long, but actually, the queue moves quite quickly.
