Nice place for vino naturale like Aldo Viola and other Sicilian natural wines. Tasty Prosecco and cool vibe.
The place is open till late night ( last guest), staff is amazing, friendly and recommended different local places. It’s very quiet to seat there even if it’s right in the center, not crowded. highly recommend

Me and my friends were searching for some coffee. We founded this amazing place with a good atmosphere, italianoooo music and friendly staff. We really liked to be there. You can sit outside under some flowers, Bougainvillea, and enjoying the sounds of Taormina. Afterwards we decided to come back for some wine and snacks in the evening. There was a very high level of service, which we felt from the storytelling about the wine (very good menu card for all kinds of wines 🍷) to a general curiosity for us as the guests. When it comes to try some siciliano wines, we will recommend to ask for the wine manager, Paolo. After no time we could tell that he was focussing on making the best experience for us - period! To sum it up, you should definitely go to Casamatta if you are looking for an authentic La Dolce Vita kind of thing.

special chill wine bar. I had a friend tell me I’d love this spot and was really humbled by the nice orange wine, casual vibe yet considered pours. Took my mum, she bloody loved it and slowly got around to trying natural wines. I hope to return eventually :))

This was my favorite wine bar in Italy. Staff were incredibly friendly and down to earth. This spot is off the beaten path and the aesthetic was super cool.
We did the wine tasting and every wine the selected for us was amazing, local and most of the time they knew the winemakers personally. Truly amazing spot. 10/10

Randomly stumbled upon this cool little wine bar when exploring Taormina and went back on our last nights! Very knowledgeable and approachable staff. We tried some delicious natural wines and got to try a great bottle from the brother of our favorite Alessandro Viola! Super great place to try different Sicilian wines in a beautiful setting! Can’t wait to be back :)

Paolo and the team at Casamatta are the best - they are knowledgeable, friendly, and super attentive. I couldn’t recommend this place more. We came on our first night in Taormina and returned the next two nights of our stay. This place is a must for any wino staying in the area. Bravo

Visited after a locals suggestion. Really nice little bar in a side street off the Main Street. Great cocktails and local craft beer! Also the food was delicious.

Gets much business later at night, although still nice for a quiet drink just after opening.

Had a fantastic evening here. I was recommended a wonderful glass of white wine (probably the most delicious of my time in Sicily) and enjoyed the food. The area was peaceful and away from the main tourist spots. Staff were very friendly and a member of staff who spoke English explained the menu to us. Would highly recommend a visit.

Casamatta was recommended by my airbnb host and i highly recommend it! It’s nice and quiet (away from the hectic vibe of the main road) Owner and server are very kind. We had an amazing time :)

The drinks and the people are amazing! The best spot in Taormina if you want to relax and listen to good music on vinyl.

You would be a fool not to visit Casamatta! The staff are absolutely exceptional. Umberto is a very patient and knowledgable sommelier - he let me try multiple wines to ensure I had the glass I loved. Stella makes brilliant sandwiches and is incredibly hospitable. I spent several hours here on my first, second and third night surrounded by locals and soaking up the ambience. I loved it.

The bar is owned by Roger - he is tolerable.

Great little bar just a short walk from the teeming masses walking the Corso Umberto on a Saturday evening! Well worth a visit!!!

Lovely little wine bar, artistically decorated, where the owner cares about wine. Sometimes frequented by a local stray cat. Cat is optional.
