This is very cozy hotel with super nice owner who paid attention to every little details, he always smile and be helpful to us. Thanks to his explanation I now know what the holes in the building facades for ( scaffolding if you also curious)

This is a beautiful small hotel in a beautiful medieval town which I would recommend without hesitation. We stayed for a week. The room was as clean and comfortable as can be, airy, with views across the town and across the rooftops (see photo). The breakfast is a simple Italian-style offering but has several options all of which were excellent. Special mention to Biaggio's cappuccino and the home made cakes: top quality! The building has clearly been restored with care and love, and the hotel is run with the same care and love. The owners are super kind and friendly and able to offer assistance with local walks, restaurants (take their recommendations, they were great!), and information about the area. There is easy and free parking nearby. It was calm, quiet and relaxing to stay here. We would love to return!

We travel a lot, but I don’t think we have ever felt so welcome and comfortable as in Albergo Merùo! This family-run boutique hotel has been created with so much care and attention to detail, and the owners are attentive and treat their guests as if we were close friends. The rooms are spotless and the Italian breakfast delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Our stay has been everything and even more!
This is a family owned B&B with a lot of history. The owners made sure we were comfortable at all times. Travelling with a baby is not easy but they made sure we had enough space and everything we needed.(kids friendly) The room was spotles , the wall art in our room was made by a local artist and the interior decor decorated by the son. There are so many adorable details; from the reception to the breakfast room , to the patio with a beautiful view of the town to the handmade cushions. The breakfast was fresh, the baked goods were homemade.
It’s perfectly located, park your car and take a stroll around the city. We highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed!

Located at the top of the charming hillside borgo of Morano Calabro this family run albergo is the perfect place to stay. You get a perfect view from here and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The friendliness and hospitality of your hosts are amazing. Their recommendations of places to go and things to see are spot on. And if you’re lucky you might get to taste a digestivo made on local herbs from the nearby Pollino national park. Highly recommended.

Roberto and his team were not only exceptionally warm and accommodating, but also endlessly helpful. The small, beautiful hotel is within walking distance of a public parking lot and offers phenomenal views of the idyllic town.
The breakfast buffet is ideal and offers wonderful crossini, cakes and of course fantastic coffee.
Roberto can captivate you with his stories, he shares his knowledge of the region and knows just about everything from Arberesh to the most beautiful hiking trails.
I will certainly come back to the small town and can only recommend the stay with Roberto.

Our hosts were beyond amazing. Our car had broken down several hours away and after a tow truck and taxi ride we arrived late to the hotel. We had a 60lb bag we intended to leave in the car but the hotel owner insisted on carrying it himself to the hotel. They were so welcoming, our misfortune was soon forgotten. I had the best cappuccino of my entire trip. Every detail of the hotel was perfect. A great breakfast too. A perfect stop between Matera and the coast. We loved it! The Broadbents

Incredible, so well done, is freshly renovated in a beautiful design. Comfortable, air conditioning, stunning view.

You will get comfort and service much better than in a 5-star posh chain hotel.

This place is a major part of town experience.

Colazione buona con i dolci preparati ogni mattina dalla moglie di Roberto.
E molto bello lo spazio bar dove viene servita e dove ci si può accomodare anche la sera per fare amicizia con gli altri ospiti, mentre Roberto fa assaggiare i suoi liquori fatti in casa.
Stanze pulite, nuove e molto carine.
Unica pecca, almeno nella nostra stanza, la doccia troppo piccola e non molto comoda.

Ottima posizione, nella parte alta del centro storico, vicino al castello e alla grande e bella chiesa di SS.Pietro e Paolo. Disponibilità e cortesia anche per ospitare le ns bici. La stanza è molto accogliente, bagno grande, tutto pulitissimo e arredato con gusto. Frigo bar, aria condizionata, TV, wifi, kit cortesia molto ricco. Il proprietario ci ha assistito nelle pratiche per l'iscrizione al percorso cicloturistico. Ottima colazione. Dotato di ascensore per i piani. Si accede poi ad un terrazzo per godere del panorama di Morano.

Hotel curato nel minimo dettaglio con uno stile meraviglioso tra il moderno-vintage. Pulizia degli ambienti impeccabile, professionalità, cortesia e gentilezza sempre presenti. La colazione? Buonissima! Torte fatte in casa e cornetti che profumano. Esperienza piacevolissima!

Se avessi potuto aggiungere una stella al servizio, lo avrei fatto. L'hotel è curatissimo in ogni dettaglio che ne fa un luogo unico ed originale. Si vede che il recupero degli spazi è stato eseguito più con amore che con fredda professionalitá. Il proprietario è tuttavia l'elemento prezioso: disponibilità, dedizione al lavoro ed umanità tutta meridionale, donano all'accoglienza un carattere di straordinarietà per cui fermarti a bere con lui, nell'unico pernottamento, un bicchiere di amaro, ti sembra la cosa più naturale del mondo. Grazie di tutto. Ritorneremo e lo segnaleremo agli amici e ci sembrerà poco.

Perfetto nella posizione, nei dettagli, nell’attenzione ai clienti. È difficile trovare un albergo in cui si fondono gentilezza, cura e pulizia. Niente è lasciato al caso, questo posto resta nel cuore e lascia un po’ di voglia di ritornare. È stato tutto perfetto, lo consiglio vivamente perché di alberghi 4 stelle ce ne sono tanti, ma non troverete facilmente un posto come questo.

Siamo stati ospiti per 3 giorni in questa splendida struttura a gestione veramente familiare.
La colazione mi ha ricordato alcuni frutti che non vedevo da anni , torte e crostate squisite.
Sicuramente al prossimo viaggio sarà tappa garantita.

Posto eccezionale! Ristrutturato con grandissimo gusto. Colazione super. Valore aggiunto la gentilezza del personale. Luogo direi magico incastonato in un paesino di altri tempi. Consigliatissimo.
