San Carlo

What a wonderful experience staying with Chef Carlo at his villa. The meals were unbelievably wonderful and his wine pairings unbeatable. What a gracious host with so many stories to share. He made our vacation with his charming hospitality…and when he sat down at the piano ….🥹🥹🥹❤

We went originally for three days, but ended up booking an extra night, cause it was so nice.

The owner, Carlo, is an amazing host. It just comes naturally for him. And on top of that, he is a well renowned chef. We opted for the 5 course gourmet dinner (EUR 54 per person). And it actually ended up being seven courses, cause there was a small appetizer at first and some treats with the coffee. And the flavour was amazing! The risotto dish was the best dish, I've ever tasted in my life. Carlo has a lot of knowledge about wine also, but we are not into wine that much, so just had a single glass. But I am, however, a food buff- and this was great! I also ended up buying the book, that Carlo has written. Which includes the recipes from the gourmet dinner 😊

The rooms might not be the most modern rooms, but classic, clean and spacious. The very spacious room came with a balcony, a small fridge and a water cooker.

There is a pool as well. In the three days, that we were there, we were the only ones using it, so it almost felt like a private pool 😍

The town of Cortemilia is a nice small little town, and by coincidence, we happened to be there during the yearly hazelnut festival. Was a fun event with lots of people in town.

Everything was five stars worth. The place, the pool, the food and most of all - the hospitality! ❤

Great stay; just a typical italian family hotel with great service and nice swimmingpool. Breakfast is good wel Nice variety of choice. The host is really a nice person and also the chef of the restaurant.

Don't remember room much, has lovely back yard very green and natural with a few objects of art here and there. BUT GREAT MEALS in restaurant. Two wonderful dinners.

Excellent dinner, local ingredients and recipes. Chef and staff extremely nice and welcoming. Absolutely suggested, incredible pleasant evening!

Some of the best food in the area and the Zarri family cannot do enough for you.

Appena entri a Villa San Carlo, ti accorgi di essere in un posto magico. Paola, Carlo e tutto lo staff sono molto attenti alle esigenze del cliente, sono in grado di coccolarti e regalarti una esperienza culinaria e sensoriale unica. Il servizio è eccellente, curato, i piatti puoi gustarli utilizzando tutti i sensi. Gli ambienti della villa sono pieni di storia, traduzione e libri. Un posto unico.

Wir waren zum Dinner bei Villa San Carlo mit einem 10 Gang Menü und wurden sehr freundlich betreut vom Chef Persönlich. Das Essen war einfach nur ein Genuss und das beste was wir je gegessen hatten. Dafür 10 Sterne die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und Freundlich. Es ein sehr schöner unvergesslicher Abend Vielen Dank an Carlo und Team. Ciao Sandra, Lea und Ringo😉

Wir waren zu unserer Hochzeitsreise in der Villa San Carlo. 2002. Ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Es ist schön zu lesen, dass Familie Zarri ihrem hohen Qualitätsanspruch treu geblieben ist!

Tijdens onze rondreis was dit ons fijnste verblijf. We werden hartelijk verwelkomd en dat gevoel gaven de eigenaren je constant. We hebben van het diner genoten, het was een mooie ervaring. Alles wat werd opgediend was voortreffelijk, en het dessert een aangename verassing! We hadden graag langer dan 2 nachten gebleven.
