Incredible. Everyone was so friendly. Very comfortable bed and very strong AC. The property is covered in lavender and rosemary plants with amazing views of the Tuscan countryside. This deserves to be the setting of a movie.

Beautiful place with breathtaking views in a heart of Chianti! Perfect place for wine and meat lovers, hundreds of vineyards around, amazing butcher just on the other site of the road. Rooms are clean and specious, every one gets welcome wine bottle. Delicious breakfast served on the tray with different local specials every day. Great pool, warm water ( July ) Public parking 5 min Walk from hotel. I'm sure we will use one of Vignamaggio facilities again ! Can't understand negative comments about that place ! Couple with 3 year old.

We stayed here for a night whilst visiting the famous Ceccini for dinner. We were not expecting the hotel to be so amazing. The location was incredible, rooms lovely, views amazing, staff were super friendly, breakfast simple and delicious, but our favorite surprise was the swimming pool. Set overlooking the valley, surrounded by shaded gardens, the swimming pool was a refreshing oasis.

We had such a wonderful experience at La Pensione. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. They got us into our room as soon as they could after we arrived, and helped us with things for our baby such as a little bit of dish soap when we needed to wash bottles and forgot ours. Giulia especially was especially helpful - she helped us with transportation from the airport at 11pm the night before, when our plans fell through. And she got us to the wedding when the bus left us as we were getting our 7 month old settled with the babysitter! All the while she was patient, understanding and never made us feel like the crazy disasters that we were. When we had to rush out early to get to the airport, the breakfast staff sent us off with cappuccinos and WARM, freshly baked focaccia and cornetti. <3 The experience was absolutely the definition of hospitality.

The common spaces are lovely and serene, and the pool was beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable with great A/C. My only wish is for more counter space or place to set things down in the bathroom.

Charming place with a lovely interior design, clean rooms and friendly staff that will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Situated perfectly in the heart of a beautiful village with great food options and free parking nearby, yet it still has a wonderful garden with an amazing swimming pool to unwind.
Wi-fi is fast and reliable, breakfast is delicious- overall a great experience and absolutely recommended!

If you are thinking to book this place, don’t think, just go ahead and book. We had a superb stay at this property. Everything was top notch. We booked the room in advance, it was extremely spacious and the elevator opened inside our room.
Special thanks to the receptionists, they all had a genuine smile on their faces and helped us with all our questions.

Fantastic hotel. Staff lovely, rooms clean and spacious, breakfast delicious. You can even call lovely Yuliya (sommelier / receptionist / general Chianti knowledge base) , lost in a Tuscan forest, snared by thorns swearing you will never follow a komoot suggested running route EVER again, to advise her you will slightly miss the 10 o clock breakfast cut off. Would recommend!

Just got home from a week long stay at Pensione di Vignamaggio. And wow what a great place. Our room was great, #8, had a separate bedroom, and the view out of our sitting room was out of this world. The staff is kind and respectful. The breakfast was outstanding. For the American's in our group, they even brewed American coffee and served it in a small pot. That was great after spending some time abroad and tired of espresso. So accomodating. Great location.

In the middle of the Chianti district this is perfect. It can be a little noise from the small square and road but apparat from the few buissy hours it is very laid back and tranquility...especially by the pool. Breakfast is something for it self. The view is breathtaking and you get a tray every morning with homemade specialities - out of this would 😍

Comfortable air conditioned room with complimentary house wine. Fast Wi-Fi. The property has a few very nice inside lounge areas as well as outside seating. Beautiful pool with subbed and amazing view of the valley. Delicious breakfast.

Amazing hotel in a very quiet, charming little village. We stayed only 1 night but wish it had been a week. The staff are very friendly, we felt so welcome. Hotel is newly renovated and this has been done beautifully, visibly taking the old architecture and modern style into account, blending it perfectly. Having been driving in Florence earlier in the day, arriving at the pool area was like entering paradise. So peaceful and that gorgeous view. Will definitely be back, next time for longer!

We spent the evening at the Hotel Villa Sangiovese restaurant which is not limited to guests. Although there are many classic Chianti dishes offered, we were in the mood for fish and had an excellent meal, starting with seafood from the buffet followed by a main course of beautifully cooked fish. Great service, helpful input from Mr Bleuler, the Swiss owner, and a very extensive wine list. I can strongly recommend this restaurant. (From what we saw of it, the hotel looked good too - for sure the location is excellent.)

Renovated hotel with beautiful rooms, marvelous breakfast, fantastic swimming pool and splendid views. Highly recommended for your stay! I wish to be able to spend a week there, because this place is just perfect!

Winding down one of the many beautiful tree-lined hills on the SS222 road heading north from Castellina in Chianti, the charming village of Panzano in Chianti greets you, its medieval hilltop church and fortifications keeping a timeless vigil over the settlement below.

A warm welcome: such a simple concept, one that is ingrained in all of us as being so important when away from the daily grind, the epitome of “make yourself at home and relax”. Nestled in the corner of a wonderfully shaded square the Villa Sangiovese can’t help but convey just such a welcome.

The proprietors, or perhaps hosts would be more appropriate, Anne-Marie and Ulderico, their relaxed and naturally jolly demeanour is infectious and help a guest feel instantly at ease. Any strain of life, if not already diluted by any of the fine wines of the Chianti region, will be entirely dissolved once the villa, with its staggering views, is explored.

Boasting a swimming pool with wonderful views down the valley, a large terrace, perfect for whiling away a few hours with a good book, and a highly reputed restaurant with, as well as an array of wonderful dishes, one of the finest chocolate cakes around, the Villa Sangiovese, is truly a great find.

The rooms, 18 in all plus one suite, are simple, clean and perfectly comfortable and most offer views across the valley. In addition, two lounges give those who need to seek refuge from the sun ample space to cool off and, with a TV and DVD player in one, amuse the children should any inclement weather prevail.

The perfect place to enjoy the Toscana, far enough from the tourist frenzy and only a bus ride away from Florence!
Beautiful rooms and garden, authentic and relaxed atmosphere. We felt at thome the minute we walked in.

Giant room for three...compared to the rest of europe... clean, comfortable, and such nice staff. Beautiful pool and such amazing views. Great breakfest..go there, you will not regret it!...left by a real traveler.

I wish we had if booked more time here and we will definitely be back if we get the chance again. Thanks Vignamaggio for a wonderful two days.
