This agriturismo is in a beautiful location in the lovely countryside of Basilicata. The food is incredible and the service and ambiente super friendly and relaxed.

This is a real secret gem. The location, staff, owners, food, pool and general atmosphere is just the right thing to escape from the busy world. Excellent walks in the area. Congratulations to everyone in the La Diamora dei Cavalieri family.

I was looking for an Agritourismo in the Basilicata region of Italy as a base for a walking/cycling holiday. Following a recommendation I booked a week’s stay at La Dimora dei Cavalieri. I have to say that this was a choice that I did not regret. The surrounding countryside is fantastic, and the location of La Dimora is idyllic. My wife and I could not have wished for a better location. Everything about our stay couldn’t be faulted. The rooms were clean, tidy and very comfortable and the swimming was especially welcome after a day’s walking/cycling. The restaurant made the weeks holiday extra special. The Sunday lunch is a 4-5 hour food fest, most of the meat, vegetables and flour for the homemade pasta are all grown on the family farm. The white faced lamb was some of the best lamb I have tasted. All the wine, mineral water and digestifs are included in a banquet where I stopped counting the courses after 12 dishes. The restaurant has a real buzz about the place and even though there were 120 plus guests for lunch the service was superb. I highly recommend La Dimora for anyone looking for an idyllic base to explore the south of Italy

Angelo received us very warmly to set up our tent in the garden of the Albergo. We had an amazing swim and hearty and lovely dinner with very good ingredients! Lovely experience.

We spent four wonderful days at La Dimora several weeks ago. Angelo and his wife Carmela are the ultimate in being super hosts. They couldn’t be more helpful or gracious. On our first day there Angelo drove us out to where the animals on this working farm are kept, which was very interesting. If you are looking for fabulous Lucanian cuisine then this is the place to stay. Angelo’s sister Rosaria cooked us the most delicious meals. She is a culinary treasure! Another member of the family, Fillipo was always there to give us great service and always with a kind smile. We have stayed at agriturismi all over Italy and La Dimora rates in our top three. Thank you Angelo, Carmela, Rosaria and Fillipo.

La Dimora dei Cavalieri is a charming and inviting farmhouse that offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and traditions. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted with a warm smile and made to feel right at home. They go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is comfortable and are always happy to answer any questions or offer recommendations about the area. Thank you Angelo, Maria, Paolo and all of you!!
One of the highlights of the stay was the food. Worth noting is that they serve only their own products (with the exception of salt, sugar and Prosecco :D). This ensures that the food is always fresh and of the highest quality and adds to the authentic and traditional Italian dining experience.
The outdoor space is also lovely, with a beautiful garden and a swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and umbrellas. It's the perfect place to relax and soak up the sunshine.
Overall, our stay at La Dimora dei Cavalieri was absolutely delightful. The food, the location and the people were all top-notch, and I would highly recommend this charming farmhouse to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Italian experience.

This was our first stay at an Italian Agritourismo and what an experience it was to stay at the La Dimora dei Cavalieri. We wanted a holiday far from the madding crowd but within a reasonable drive of local attractions. In all my travels I have never experienced such friendly and professional service from mine host Angelo Riciutti, his family and all the staff. Some of his recommendations for our days out would only be known by someone with real local knowledge. The highlight of our stay was the Saturday lunch, what an incredible experience. There is nowhere in UK that could offer the high standard of food, drink and service as La Dimora. Antipasti, pizza, ravioli, stuffed zucchini flowers, fried cheese, lamb and potatoes (wow what a dish) and many more dishes including ricotta made on the family farm followed by deserts. All of this was complete with unlimited wine and mineral water. Then came the home made digestifs, everyone has tried limoncello but digestifs using walnuts, mint, basil and even laurel are unheard of in the UK they were amazing. Even though we had a table for 4 we experienced first hand the meaning of real southern Italian hospitality. The adjoining table of 12 took us under their wing and welcomed us at their table. A very memorable holiday that I am sure we will repeat.

The room is very cosy, the food is superb and the service is very good The host is very warmth welcoming and people here are at your service.

Stayed at La Dimora on many occasions since the Ricciuti family first opened in 2001. I am still surprised after all these years how the owners and staff have managed to maintain the same incredible standards for all these years. The food and hospitality are first class, it doesn't matter if you are a regular or new customer. My latest visit was no different to all my previous visits, the same Ricciuti family hospitality and fantastic region food. Wherever possible all the salads and vegetables are from the restaurants very large organic garden. The lamb (Agnello Bianco) is also organic and reared on the family farm. This is the most amazing lamb I have ever eaten. Anyone who is on a fly drive holiday in the region should try to visit for the famous Saturday and Sunday multi course all inclusive lunches.

The Riciutti familly go out of their way to ensure all their guests receive the most amazing hospitality. We had planned a fly drive holiday touring the Basilicata and Puglia region of South Italy. We had booked La Dimora dei Cavalieri for a 2 night stay as part of the holiday. We fell in love with La Dimora and the region so much that we extended our stay to 5 nights. The facilities are exceptional for an Agritourismo operation. There were two things that we will never forget. Firstly the Sunday lunch that we were recomended to try was amazing. Course after course of local cuisine that was beyond belief. The Riciutti family have exceptional high standards. Whenever possible they use organic produce from their own farm. Secondly, as mentioned the hospitality that we received was exceptional. Our stay was so good we booked again for an extended week break next year.

Io, mio marito e la mia piccola di quasi 8 mesi abbiamo soggiornato qui lo scorso weekend. È stata una magnifica sorpresa per il mio compleanno, un posto magico, dove si respira aria pulita, fresca, rigenerante e senza rumori assordanti. Lo staff eccezionale, accoglienza fantastica, cibo divino, colazione indimenticabile sia per il panorama sia per i loro prodotti bio e a km 0, preparati interamente da loro, di una bontà unica, come i dolci della cena, non dimenticherò mai la bonta della vostra crostata alla frutta. Anche le confetture fatte da loro. Cena ( e che cena!) eccezionale, la qualità degli ingredienti superba, mio marito ha adorato l'agnello con le patate, io che non amo la carne d'agnello ho avuto un'alternativa di carne. Esperienza assolutamente da ripetere quanto prima. Unica pecca purtroppo la scomodità del materasso che ci ha impedito di dormire bene, per il resto..voto 110L, a prestissimo!

STUPENDO! Ho passato uno splendido weekend in questo agriturismo all’insegna del fresco, del buon cibo e del relax. Ho apprezzato il fatto che la piscina sia dedicata solo a chi soggiorna (cosa non scontata) e la cucina, genuina e con porzioni abbondanti. Le camere e gli altri ambienti molto puliti e profumati. Importante sapere che in camera c’è il frigorifero e un buon asciugacapelli. Ci ritornerò sicuramente, amo questo posto!

La struttura è stata rimodernata, accoglienza di tutto lo staff superlativa...
Angelo, il direttore d'orchestra, è stupefacente...un vero piacere colloquiare e affrontare certi tempi sul biologico e tanto altro...uomo di mondo!!

Il tutto nel complesso richiama le classifiche strutture in legno di montagna...
Le camere sono molto molto pulite...le note dolenti che per mia etica devo riportare sono nello spazio a loro riservato.
Il ristorante è il fiore all'occhiello...si mangia davvero molto molto bene...che dire qualità prezzo veramente top ...
Il cibo è cucinato bene, niente salato, tutto cotto bene...
Il servizio è super eccellente e la disponibilità di tutti i collaboratori è superlativa...
5 stelle meritate, ma un consiglio ad Angelo...rivedi alcune cose per le camere..sarai poi invincibile..
Dico sempre la verità

Sono andato in vacanza alla dimora già per il secondo anno ed è stato proprio come ritrovarsi fra vecchi amici. Questo perché la calorosità e l'ospitalità dello staff sono gli elementi vincenti, in aggiunta alla loro indiscutibile competenza e professionalità. Ognuno di loro ha la prontezza di soddisfare qualunque esigenza, perché la comodità del soggiorno degli ospiti è messa al primo posto. Invito tutti a passare per la Dimora e sentirsi parte della sua grande famiglia.

festa di compleanno per i 60 anni di mia madre stupenda. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente, con piatti tipici lucani e fatti in casa, sapori genuini, la location spettacolare una vera chicca in Basilicata a Vaglio immerso nel verde. Staff in sala preparatissimo e disponibile ad ogni richiesta, grazie mille per aver reso la festa di mamma veramente stupenda. Ci ritornerò per un pranzo o una cena 😊
