"A great opportunity to visit the Venice region"

The cottage for 5 persons is great, everything is working in good order. In the three bedrooms, air conditioning is installed. During our stay it was 30+ degrees and humid, so we used the airco a lot, very nice.
The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. There are three bathrooms: 1 on suite with shower, 1 in the hallway upstairs with shower and 1 downstairs. In the bathroom downstairs a washing machine is situated.
All facilities you need for living are in the house, including supplies like washing powder, soap for dishwashing (by hand), cups to make coffee, tea, mosquito spray, etc.
There's also a big closet with several books, games and children's toys.

The house is situated in a very quiet rural area near the Venice airport Marco Polo. It is possible to go by bus to the entry of the premises, then it is a 1 km walk to the cottage. So it is best to go there by car. The nearest shopping facilities are 5 km away.
The flight schedule for Venice is not very busy, in a while an airplane is coming over and you can hear the noises of the airplanes starting and landing when your are outside the house. But the noise wasn't annoying.
Around the house there is plenty of free space, including a pond and a small orchard. You can walk along the banks of the river Dese. Outside the gate there is a large area for birdwatching, we spent many hours there to get pictures of birds and mammals.
During our stay we made a lot of trips to Venice, parked our car in the Mestre area and travelled to Venice by public transport. We also made some trips by car, to Padua, Marcon and Marghera.

For younger children, staying at the cottage can be a challenge to keep them busy.
The WiFi is good, all of the house is covered. A television is in the house (HDMI-cable included), but we didn't use it.

The owner of the house offered us a boat trip and we were glad we didn't sail ourselves. It is very busy in the lagoon and sometimes very shallow

If you want to visit Venice, if you like birdwatching in a very quiet rural area and you don't mind an airplane above your heads occasionally, this is the place to go!

Bellissimo, la possibilità di guardare la fauna selvatica nel suo ambiente ti toglie il fiato. Il titolare è una persona di altri tempi ma cordiale e grosso conoscitore della laguna e di Venezia.

Immerso nella laguna di Venezia, posto stupendo, accoglienza esemplare, si possono assistere 2 spettacoli: il primo , birdwatching, osservazione di uccelli rari, secondo , aerei in fase di decollo dall'aeroporto Marco Polo di Venezia. Paesaggio limitrofe eccezionale.

Ottimo posto per birdwatching con specie rare. Ambiente tranquillo nonostante il decollo degli aerei. Consigliato per chi vuole godersi una giornata di relax e foto ad animali.

Dieses Ferienhaus hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Aber auch dieses besondere Biotop war uns wichtig. Am besten haben mir die liebenswerten Betreuer des Ganzen gefallen. Grazie Molto

Un posto incredibile per i fotonaturalisti. L'ingresso vale mezza giornata, si è soli.
