Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments

We have just returned from a wonderful week’s stay at Casa Nestore in the Olivia Apartment. The apartment is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and finished to an excellent standard. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom has an excellent walk in shower. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of storage space.
The apartment has the most picturesque views from all aspects and has its own terrace which we enjoyed in the evenings watching the sun go down over hills with a glass of prosecco! The large shared terrace has plenty of sun loungers and is perfect for sunbathing. The swimming pool is an excellent size, very well maintained and the perfect temperature to enjoy at any time of the day. The location of the apartment is very peaceful and very relaxing.
The apartment is an excellent base for exploring Umbria with Perugia and Lake Trasimeno all within 45 / 30 mins respectively by car. There are plenty of walks around the village of Castiglione Della Valle and the woodland around the apartment. There are plenty of cycle and mountain biking routes too.
Nick, Mandi and Issac are the perfect hosts and made us feel really welcome and at home. They provided lots of suggestions for places to visit and places to eat and were happy to help with any questions that we had.
We highly recommend Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments and look forward to returning to enjoy another stay soon.

Another fantastic stay at Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments in beautiful Umbria. As returning guests, we always receive an incredibly warm welcome from the very generous and thoughtful hosts, Nick and Mandi, to their little piece of heaven in the Umbrian countryside. We stayed in the Fido apartment and it is very tastefully decorated and furnished to a high specification. The traditional style building offers airy high ceilings and thick walls offer a lovely cool haven if the heat of the midday sun gets a little too hot. The apartment has a private loggia, perfect for enjoying a glass or two of the local tipple, and it opens out onto the recently renovated pool area which was fantastic before but now has a real wow factor.

Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments are perfectly situated as a hub to get around and enjoy the sights of so many towns and cities that are jam packed with beautiful unspoilt architecture. If ever struggling for ideas on what to see or do / where to eat / drink, Nick and Mandi will always have a great suggestion for you to try.

We are already looking forward to our next trip. I think I’ll bring my bike along next time to get out on some of the very appealing cycle routes in the area.

What a fabulous few days spent with family and our wonderful hosts Nick and Mandi. Nothing was too much trouble and the gorgeous apartments are the best self catering apartments we have ever stayed in. They offer everything you need and more to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible including a lovely welcome basket.
The location is beautiful and the pool/bbq area which we had to ourselves as we occupied both apartments is stunning.

I was most impressed by the apartments, decor is most tasteful, the owners have furnished and equipped them to a high standard. Nothing has been overlooked.
The apartments are ideally situated for exploring Umbria. Orvieto, Perugia, Todi, Spoletto and Lake Trasimeno are all nearby. San Filippo and the Saturnia Hot Springs in Tuscany are worth a visit, go early before it gets busy in the free to visit springs.
I feel relaxed and recharged after a lovely stay at Casa Nestore.

My partner and I stayed in the gorgeous one bed apartment in Casa Nestore.

We were blown away when we arrived to see the beautifully finished apartment, pristine pool and spectacular views. We were chuffed to find a welcome package which included chilled prosecco and breakfast goodies.

Our apartment was spotless and furnished to an extremely high standard. It was fully equipped with everything you could possibly require including towels, iron etc.

The doors of our apartment opened onto our own private patio which led directly to the poolside. The pool was cleaned meticulously every day.

The owners of Casa Nestore were amazing. They were extremely friendly and helpful providing us with lots of relevant information about the local area and where to visit slightly further afield.

The location was excellent for exploring places such as Perugia, Assisi, Lake Trasimeno and Mamore falls as well as for taking local walks.

There is a very tasty restaurant a short walk into the nearest village. We highly recommend their pizzas!

This was our first holiday of this type and we enjoyed every minute of it. We absolutely loved the peace and tranquility and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful peaceful time in the heart of Italy. The apartment was very clean with great facilities and a fantastic swimming pool. The provided breakfast for our first morning and bubbly for the evening. Nick and Mandy are fabulous host who provided us with loads of information on where to eat and what to visit. This was our second stay at Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments and again we came away very happy (and relaxed). We stayed in the Fico apartment this time round, which is stunning. The whole apartment is very well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings throughout and feels very airy / cool with its traditional high vaulted ceilings. All of the rooms are spacious and have views of either the large pool area or stunning countryside, there are plenty of power / USB charge points to keep all those gadgets topped up. Outside of the apartment itself is a covered terrace with table and chairs which provided an escape from the sun and heat when we weren't lapping it up by the pool!

The location is excellent, just over 2 hours from Rome if flying in to Fiumicino. For those flying from the London area Stanstead flights arrive direct into Perugia which is only 30 mins away. Lots to see and do around the area with walks, mountain bike trails and lakes close by (not to mention the stunning Umbrian countryside). The village itself benefits from a really good local café / bar and a more recent addition in a new restaurant, both of which are very well priced and the staff are incredibly friendly.

Nick and Mandi (along with their son Isaac) were again amazing hosts, they really welcome you in and make you feel at home. If you are stuck for ideas as to what to do, where to go they have excellent knowledge of the area and are more than happy to point you in the right direction.

We'll certainly be heading back to Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments again in the very near future!

Another warm welcome at Casa Nestore from Nick and Mandi. This time we stay in the two bedroom apartment overlooking the pool with its private outside dining area. The pool is stunning and the new apartment spotlessly clean. The first morning welcome breakfast was a life save. Thanks
We used our apartment as a base to visit many of the local attractions including the Perugia Jazz Festival, Assisi, Castiglione del Largo and Monte Subasio - what a walk in the hills that was.
We visited great local restaurants all serving tasty meal at great value. There’s even a local bar with wonderful atmosphere and beer after a ramble in the near countryside.
We will be back soon.

We stayed at Casa Nestore at the end of July. Nick & Mandi were very accommodating to our needs, and even replaced one of the single beds with a travel cot for our youngest. We had a disaster with our rental car, which put our ETA back 2 hours, however they stayed up to greet us, and show us everything in the apartment (at 2am)!
The breakfast basket is a lovely and very helpful trust, especially if you aren't arriving until late evening.
The apartment is situated in a lovely location, and we found it easy to navigate around the village, to the local shops and bar. The welcome booklet provides a ton of information about places to visit, which made getting out and about much easier!
We were blown away with our accommodation, beautifully spacious inside, and plenty of room outside for the children to play around the pool (and for me to sunbathe)! It includes a TV, and stacks of DVDs to watch.
There was plenty of towels & bedding (not that we needed that in 39 degree heat)! & we were also provided with fans for the apartment.
We had a lovely stress free stay, in a beautiful part of Italy.

Just returned from a wonderful stay in the Olivia, Casa Nestore apartment. The location is beautiful and perfect whether you want to relax by the pool or get out and explore the surrounding area. The apartment is brilliantly equipped with everything you need to self cater but we spent most of our time trying out the local restaurants. Mandi and Nick are very knowledgeable and happy to advise on places to eat and visit.
If you get the opportunity while you are there visit a village festa ( we went to Monte Petrilolo)for a real local feel for food and entertainment, it is a lot of fun. We also loved visiting the lake which is a short drive away, Castiglione Del Lago is a beautiful historical town with lovely restaurants ( fab views) and shops to wander round. They also have an open air cinema during the summer months.
Our teenage daughter enjoyed visiting the local water park and would also thoroughly recommend a visit to the local wakeboard park in Perugia. The instructors there spoke really good English and were brilliant.
It was very hot during our holiday so in the afternoons it was nice to retreat under the umbrella on the private patio with a glass of Prosecco ( very reasonably priced in the local supermarket!). It would be lovely to go back slightly earlier or later in the season when we are told the temperature is a more comfortable 25-30 degrees.
All in all, we had a fab holiday and thoroughly recommend this beautiful apartment in this beautiful part of the world.

Casa Nestore is a wonderfully restored property with two new apartments for rent, all set in wonderful Umbrian countryside. We stayed in the two-bedroom Fico apartment with our two boys in August 2017.

The apartment is modern, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything that you are likely to need. The fantastic pool is accessible from the Fico’s private terrace and the sun loungers provide an excellent opportunity to kick back and relax amongst the beautiful landscape surrounding Castiglione della Valle.

Lake Trasimeno is only 15 mins drive from the apartment and offers a wide range of water sports and lakeside restaurants. Perugia, the main historic town in the region is 20km from the apartment and reachable by car or by using the fully automated monorail system.

The countryside around the apartment offers beautiful, peaceful walks through woodland, fields and the local village of Castiglione.

The friendly English owners (Nick and Mandy) are on site and are very helpful in providing advice and help if needed. A fantastic, relaxing stay - we would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a base to explore the beautiful Umbrian countryside.

We stayed at the stunning Casa Nestore in the Olivia apartment in late August 2018. It is without doubt one of the best equipped and maintained apartments we have stayed in. The cleanliness and attention to detail was very evident and we wanted for nothing. Outside there’s decent sized swimming pool, a lovely poolside area and table and chairs for alfresco dinning. It was lovely that the owners, Mandi and Nick had left breakfast croissants and a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us.
The location is a good base to visit and explore nearby towns and attractions. Assis is a half hour drive away and well worth a visit. We also went further afield to Orvieto with it’s fantastic cathedral and Spoleto for the spectacular medieval arched bridge. We would recommend wine tasting at the vineyard Castello Monte Vibiano a short drive away. The pizza restaurant in the village is extremely welcoming with great food, fantastic value and only a 10 minute walk.
The general vibe of Casa Nestore is peaceful, relaxed, comfortable and safe. We definitely want to go back for another lovely relaxing holiday.

Lovely holiday apartments in a quiet village half an hour from Perugia with a lovely pool. Nick, Mandy and their son Isaac couldn’t have been more helpful. You will need a car and then it’s a great base to explore the many delights of the local area such as a chocolate factory, vineyards, the huge nearby lake, local markets and many fabulous restaurants. If you don’t fancy driving and don’t want to cook there is a fabulous pizza joint in the village which is a 10min/900m walk away and there’s also a village cafe for that excellent cup of Italian coffee in the morning. A place to really unwind, chill out and kick back.

A great stay Casa Nestore in the Oliva apartment. Umbria looks great in late spring and it’s already hot enough to make the pool a necessity. Really enjoyed having breakfast at the table by the window overlooking wheat fields laced with poppies with village in the background. The owners, Mandi and Nick, have a wealth of local knowledge and you will never be short of places to visit and very good local restaurants to eat in. A really relaxing stay: going to repeat the experience in the Autumn to further explore Umbria. As a keen walker I will be exploring the many routes which pass right by Casa Nestore and the weather should be a little cooler.

Wonderful family run apartments in a great location. We flew Stansted to Perugia, 30 mins transfer by car. Beautifully finished apartments, with everything you need for your stay. It was a great base to visit Perugia, Lake Trasimeno and we even travelled South to run the San Valentino Marathon. The family we very helpful with lots of local tips for things to do and places to eat. Highly recommended as a base for exploring Italy

A very good place to stay for a relaxed break away from it all but close enough to sights to see, Perugia, Assisi, Todi and Lake Tresimeno. Plenty of good restaurants in the local area as well.

Fantastic experience in a wonderful location with very helpful and accommodating hosts. Everything you could wish for in getting away from it all but also with plenty of options available locally for day trips or activities. Loved it, thank you.

Great place to stay in a wonderful part of the country

Nous avons passé 2 très belles semaines dans cet appartement, du 23 septembre au 07 octobre 2023. Il est tout à fait conforme au descriptif, très propre, situé dans un environnement calme et agrémenté d'une très belle piscine, bien entretenue.
Beaucoup de possibilités de randonnée dans les environs. Les sites remarquables à visiter sont à une distance tout à fait raisonnable.
Nick et Mandy sont des hôtes très accueillants, à la fois discrets et disponibles. Un grand merci à tous les deux pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse.

De eigenaren Nick en Mandi zijn fantastisch! Tijdens ons verblijf had de auto een defecte batterij en Nick heeft dit eigenhandig opgelost door de batterij te halen bij een lokale dealer en deze te installeren.
De accommodatie heeft een prachtig zwembad en het appartement heeft alle comfort. Het is bovendien een ideale uitvalsbasis om Umbrie te bezoeken. Top verbijf en service!
