Organic Farm Resort Fontes Episcopi

The venue is magnificent. You have superb views over the olive gardens around the hotel. The staff is wonderful, very friendly, professional and attentive. You’re close to several sightseeing activities, but the resort is a spot of pure calmness. Everything the kitchen prepare’s is homemade! Would very much recommend if you like some peace and rest!!

Gorgeous people - gorgeous place- gorgeous food- animals, wine, amazing centralisation around a beautiful kitchen with great meals, staff that make you feel like FAMILY. We travelled with a one year old and I cannot say enough about how lovely this place is. Makes your stay in Sicily amazing . Make pasta, eat pasta, discover the animals and enjoy the sun!

We enjoyed our stay here. Was close enough to the main sites in Agrigento but also secured enough to feel like a farm stays.

Loved staying here! The property is beautiful and the staff are so friendly, exactly what we were hoping for as a base to visit the valley of temples. Their in-house chef is amazing and we loved the fresh ingredients and local dishes. The rooms are very clean and spacious. the whole villa is surrounded by nature and inside there are thoughtful touches everywhere to showcase the home grown ingredients and treasures of the region.

Fontes episcopi was one of the best hotel we have ever been to. Everything is great. The chaotic but charming design of the rooms and the commons, the fantastic garden, inhabited by cats, bees and Sicilian veggies. The price we paid for the room and breakfast was right. It is a real heaven. We fell in love with Magdalena, our Sicilian chief who cooked us FANTASTIC meals every day. The entire staff was honestly one of the best hotel staff we have ever had in Europe. The pool and its surroundings was a real plus.

But because nothing is never really perfect, there are still a few issues that should be resolved in order to approach perfection: 1) the Aircon in the room is very weak. Lucky us we were there in September and the weather was a bit cooler, because if the temperatures grow higher than 35degrees, there is no way the AC of our room would have been enough to keep to room chill enough for us. But this depends a lot on your ability to support hot temperatures. 2) even if the diner (not included in the price) was Fantastically prepared by Magdalena, we felt that one of the meal was honestly too simple for 45€pp. Simple food is amazing. But you still cannot ask 45€ if it is too simple. 3) we felt the bathroom in our room was a bit too simple for the standard of the hotel. The shower cord was short and not long enough to clean your entire body if you are tall. Apart for that, everything was perfect.

My parents and I stayed here for a handful of nights in April - the property was gorgeous and serene, and the staff was incredibly friendly and kind. They truly felt like an extension of our own family. The food was remarkably good and all sustainably sourced and prepared! Madalena the chef left a lasting mark on our family’s memories. What a hotel! This was the most beautiful stay during our Sicilly Trip. Furnished in every detail, beautiful and clean rooms with balcony, overlooking Olive Trees, a nice pool and a big kitchen with a Sicilian Mother who prepares fresh Sicilian food. We could even come into the kitchen every time and watch her doing pasta and bread. Plus we were offered snacks and drinks when we watched her. The dinner was just incredible, we were served a 4 course menu with fresh picked vegetables and herbs from the garden. Everything was perfect, fully recommended if you love Nature and organic food.

This was unequivocally the best food and most authentic experience we had in all of Sicily. Upon arrival for our lunch The hosts brought our entire family into the kitchen (kids loved it!) to prepare homemade pasta with a local wheat variety grown on the farm. It was an immersive experience that was invaluable. Two pasta courses later, great wine, local sausage and potatoes - and homemade gelato - we were in heaven. They try to source virtually everything from the farm and if not it’s from the local town. Attention to detail was impeccable in the interior design with curated pieces tracing generations. While we did not stay at the hotel - we left wishing we had and longed for another meal from Fontes!

The road to this incredible hotel is underwhelming, so we were very pleasantly surprised to arrive at such a beautiful estate. We felt like we were special guests in a rustic, chic, luxurious private country home during our two night stay. Our room (with private terrace, overlooking the courtyard) was very comfortable. The service here is excellent, and the food is local, simple, and prepared with the best ingredients and the greatest skill and care. We look forward to returning one day!

Exceptional country estate, great attention to detail and amazing family-like service.

Set up in the middle of olive trees and rolling hills, this small country estate has a lot to offer. We particularly enjoyed the pool, the design, the cuisine by a typical Sicilian Mama using the vegetables and herbs from the garden and the very personal service. We felt line we were part of a family for couple of days and will definitely come back.

Stunning hotel, wonderful staff (particularly Sara) and excellent food. Rooms are big, well designed and comfortable. Not a bad word to say

I can't believe it has been four years ago that we stayed at this gorgeous agriturismo! We absolutely loved everything about this magical place, especially our hosts and the beautiful surroundings. So peaceful.

Wonderful location, excellent kitchen, the most beautiful swimming pool of Sicily, take one of the larger rooms!

Fontes Episcopi was an incredible experience. We reserved a cooking class to celebrate a birthday and it was exceptionally well done. The class was educational, full of love, lots of laughs and delicious Sicilian organic food. (We highly recommend making a cooking class a part of your stay.) Every meal during our 5 day stay was fantastic, the service exceeded our expectations and the facilities were so clean. The farms aesthetic was full of trinkets and treasures and we had such a wonderful time exploring the grounds. October’s weather was perfect and it did not stop the kids from enjoying the pool.

We traveled to Sicily to learn about our ancestors and we left with a new family. What a gift! Thank you Fontes Episcopi for a perfect holiday that we will cherish forever.

L’atmosfera familiare , delicata e amorevole.
Il cibo è quasi tutto autoprodotto (persino un grano eccezionale con cui preparano pane e pasta fresca ).
Un posto indimenticabile di spensieratezza e benessere!
